Thanksgiving Retreat Perfection at Whiskey RockOur family of spent Thanksgiving at this vacation house, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spacious and welcoming the house felt. The living room was large enough for all of us to gather comfortably for games and movies after our Thanksgiving feast.The kitchen was a dream! Fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our holiday meal, including plenty of counter space for all the dishes we made. The dining area easily accommodated our large group, making our holiday dinner feel extra special.The bedrooms were thoughtfully designed, providing both comfort and privacy. The older kids loved having their own space, and the adults appreciated the peaceful master suite. The house was spotlessly clean, with soft linens and towels that made us feel right at home.The outdoor area was another highlight. Even in late November, we enjoyed the spacious deck and hot tub. The location was convenient, with beautiful views and plenty of activities nearby to keep everyone entertained.Overall, this home made our Thanksgiving unforgettable. We’re already talking about coming back for another family getaway! Highly recommend it for any large group looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and charming place to stay.

My family stayed at “ranch water” the weekend before Thanksgiving. The house is absolutely gorgeous! The Smarts have thought of every detail you would ever desire! Our family enjoyed every moment and look forward to creating more memories here soon! The Fall is an amazing time to visit the lake, and we were able to take in the beauty of the leaf colors changing, the wildlife dear were amazing to meet and finally the lake itself was magnificent!

This rental is TOP notch! It was everything we needed AND more. We had our family and kids there for Thanksgiving and it was so smooth because of how great this rental home was. So clean, stocked up with every kitchen utensil and machine you could ever need, and the views are incredible. We will definitely want to book this again in the future. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a great experience!

My husband and I had an amazing weekend filled with fun and rest! The home was beautiful and so clean and comfortable. The garage is full of fun things to do and the backyard is picturesque. We loved every minute of our stay and did not want to leave!!

This was my second time in a Smart Vacation Rental. We held our board of directors retreat in this one and it was fabulous. So much room to move around, perfect for large meals, meeting in a relaxed environment (inside or out), and so much more. Perfect for families too! This one, just like the last, was a five star accommodation! And the VIEW!!! Highly recommend. Will be back!

Our family had the pleasure of gathering at this dreamy home for our Thanksgiving celebration! The home is newly built with high end touches and luxury design. The space was perfect for our group of 12 plus 2 babies with room to spread out. We loved the views of the lake from the expansive back patio while we relaxed in the hot tub and by the outdoor fireplace. Brooke responds quickly to messages and is a kind and wonderful host! We look forward to coming back soon!

This weekend my daughter married at Possum Kingdom Lake. We needed a rental large enough for our family and extended family to stay together. We booked 2 houses, PK Paradise and Juniper Jewel. The Paradise home was excellent for entertaining inside and on the outside patio with a large family. It had amazing views, wonderful accommodations and awesome amenities (ping pong, pool, hot tub, and much more). We loved the helpfulness, recommendations and assistance from Brooke Smart (Smart Vacation Realty). The PK Paradise home had plenty of room to move around and sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bonus of the spacious bunk room on the top floor to sleep several more. We highly recommend these homes anytime a year.

We’ve stayed at a Smart Vacation Rental property for two years in a row now, and can’t say enough great things! The house was so accommodating - we found ourselves often saying “this doesn’t feel like a rental home”. It was cozy, well stocked and comfortable for our big group of 6 adults + 5 young kids. Brooke was helpful and communicative with anything we needed during our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit again and recommend to others!

The house was perfect for our friend getaway! The location is ideal being in Hell’s Gate, but also because you have easy, close access to the water. Booking and communicating with Brooke went seamlessly. We’ll be back!

This property was a perfect fit for 3 young families with small children! It was everything that was advertised, and more! We loved the layout of the house, its situation on the lake, and large yard/property all around the house. The outdoor spaces were perfect for us and kids. We used both the Traeger and the gas grill while cheering on our Red Raiders! (We appreciated the Texas Tech decor). The dock was great and accommodated our 25’ surf boat very nicely. We loved the property and the time we were having so much that we rented an extra night which was very easy to get done with the property manager and super quick response time. We plan on making this property a regular visit from now on. We have stayed in very many VRBOs and Air B&Bs and this is the best place we’ve been to yet. Would recommend to anyone 100%.

Our home was everything we wanted, needed and expected. It was so hard to leave. The bed were so comfortable and the entire house was decorated so well. The towels were soft and the hosts were very communicative if I had a question. I could not ask for a better experience.

Could not have found a better spot for our baseball team while we played at Rocker B. We got 3 homes all next to each other and was perfect for our group. The house was fully stocked with quality items. The location cannot be beat. The pool and hot tub are steps away. I cannot stay enough great things about the thoughtful touches including a Blackstone grill off the kitchen. Would highly recommend!!

The Sunshine House was a wonderful location for our family vacation. We took our kids and grandkids and had tons of room. The house was spacious, clean and beautiful. Everything we needed was there! The location is perfect and we spent many hours fishing off of the dock and back yard. The boat ramp is a few minutes away. We also enjoyed much family time in the refreshing pool. The property manager was always prompt and courteous. We will definitely come back!

Great house! Plenty of space for several families to stay together. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils to cook with, and the kids has a lot of fun down at the dock. House was very clean and had a great view. Plenty of seating inside and out on the porch. Owner was very easy to talk to if you had any questions. Would definately stay here again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a SmartRentals home, and I cant express how impressed I was! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully curated to provide an incredible experience. The home itself is beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy comfort.What truly took my breath away was the view—absolutely stunning view of Possum Kingdom Lake. They have truly thought of everything to make guests feel at home while enjoying the beauty of their surroundings. I cant recommend this place enough!

PK Slide House was perfect for our first trip to Possum Kingdom! The home was spacious and comfortable for our big group. Loved the layout and all the details in decor. Of course we took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. The sauna and salt room were def an added perk. We had some minor hiccups that Brooke the property manager was quick to take care of. She was also quick and responsive to any questions that we had. Will definitely be back if they’ll have us!

We absolutely love staying at The Retreat Cabins everytime we go to Possum Kingdom. Its always the best experience. The Cabins have everything you need. They are always super clean and just such a homey feeling. Brooke is the best! She is always so kind and helpful and always quick to respond when I have questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! ❤️

What a Great place to stay, Juniper is centered on lake, so its close to great places to eat, Hells Gate, and the sandy beach. The house was more than we expected and we will be back next year! host was on top of everything, Great experience!!!!!

Cabin was great and really liked that we had a personal boat dock in quiet cove. It allowed us the ability to get on and off the lake immediately. The view looking at the cliffs was also great. Only problem was the TV. It didnt work the first night and shut down in the middle of a show the second night. It was frustrating. Overall, it was a great experience in a cozy isolated cabin. A boat is a necessity! I would rent it again.
