The Shepherd Family Cabins and RV Campground was very nice. Very clean, safe and quiet. We stayed two nights in March 2024 and rode bicycles to Caprock Canyons State Park. It was an easy ride on a quiet country road with wide shoulders. We spent a day exploring the beauty of Caprock hiking and riding bikes. -

Great deal on an AirBnB that has all you need to enjoy the nearby parks and sites. Full, new kitchen with stocked coffee bar, private entrance at back of house, away from the campground. Wrap around porch that was perfect for an Easter Egg hunt. It was quiet and peaceful. Just 2 miles S of Caprock Canyons State Park. We will stay here again next time we are in the area! -

Rented an RV spot here with Grandkids on Easter Break. This a more a family compound than RV park. Clean, nicely landscaped and 2 miles from Caprock entrance. Theres RV sites, RVs to rent & cabins to rent. A common area we enjoyed playing tether ball & volleyball. We highly recommend this place! -

Cute little farmstead with cabins and rv spots. We stayed in the bob white camper they have and had a great time. It was quite and relaxing, just what we wanted. Perfect location to go visit Caprock Canyon and about 1 1/2 hours from Palo Dura Canyon. We visited both on our trip. -

This is a cool quiet spot. We rented a camper and friend had a RV spot. We enjoyed the firepit and the hide out. Five minutes from the Caprock Canyons State Park, and 10 minutes from town. -

We want to thank Tracy and Bill for a wonderful stay over the 4th of July. We rented one of their full hookup RV spaces. We highly recommend the location. Its smaller than were accustomed to but that is part of Its appeal. Very close to Caprock Canyon with amazing views. Tracy and Bill were great hosts, and are working on making many improvements. We are looking forward to our next visit! -

Absolutely loved staying here. Folks running the place were super friendly and accommodating. We went into the state park a few times and couldnt believe what a circus the camping looked like in there! Such a cool park to visit, but folks were crammed in like sardines. Skip the crowds and stay here instead! 3min drive to the park, closer to town, quiet, friendly, full hookups, fun common area for the kids to play... Winning in every category. Thank you! -

My wife and I spent a few days at Shepherd Family RV park back a few months ago and had a great visit .. Nothing real fancy but clean and quite and only a short drive to Caprock Canyon .. we had a chance to meet one of the owners (nice guy). Full hookup and good 50 amp service. Great option instead of the state park only no Buffalo walking thru .. Thanks again for allowing us to stay !! Rick and Debbie Chilton from North Carolina. -

Super nice place and owners. Quiet, well maintained, and cozy for our RV stay. Nice wide pull through spot. Grounds are small but plenty to do with a volleyball net, hiking trails, etc. Beautiful views and sunsets right out our front door. We will be back!! -

Great small RV Park. Pull through sites, Wi-Fi, good access to Cap Rock Canyon and nearby trails. Bring your trailer or rent one they have on site. I imagine itll fill up quick in high season, so I recommend booking early. We used Air BnB to book, I think it makes sense for the future of RV campsites to avoid some of the headaches with Good Sam and Thousand Trails. If you just need a cabin, they have those closer to Palo Duro Canyon available as well. Our highest recommendations, well certainly be repeat customers when we pass that way again. -
