    We enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Grand Spa cabin. The cabin was perfect! The beds were comfortable. The cabin is very roomy and clean. The owners have thought of everything from games to essentials. We went for a walk around the property and enjoyed the nature. It is close enough to town if you need something. We will be back for sure!

    I had a wonderful stay at the Tree House at Scenic Hill! Up high surrounded by trees and a front porch with a swing to enjoy it. Also loved looking out over the trees from the window as I made my morning coffee. Below it there’s a hanging bed and a table and chairs on an additional deck that were fabulous. I walked down the dirt road and enjoyed seeing some great nature, including horses and cows. The bed and linens were comfy and the cabin was just perfect. I’ll definitely be returning!

    We stayed in the Tree House. Absolutely loved it. It was pretty chilly so we couldnt take full advantage of all the lovely provisions the Tree House had. I want to go back when its warmer and we can enjoy the bed swing downstairs and the bistro set and porch swing on the front porch. That being said, the room was wonderful! We loved the view! Being above the trees was beautiful, unlike any place Ive stayed before. The kitchen had all the things you would need for cooking. I love the rustic decor and feel. They even provided breakfast supplies in the fridge, you just cant beat that! We took a small speaker with us and enjoyed music and dancing because it was like having our own very own dance floor. We loved every minute of our stay. Definitely plan to go again.

    This was our first time here and a perfect get away which I surprised my wife for her birthday.Next time we will choose one not near the road you can hear the traffic. But we enjoyed the quiet time. The banana muffins were absolutely delicious and breakfast was great. We definitely will return again.

    The cabin retreat was everything we wanted. Private and well stocked. We wanted for nothing and loved every moment. The massage table was great, the jacuzzi was clean and the woods were woody.

    I’ve stayed at Scenic Hill Retreat 4 times in the past 4 years. Every time has been amazing! The cabins are wonderful and I love the hot tubs. Staff is always friendly, professional, and efficient. I will be returning when I get the chance.

    We always enjoy our stay at the Woodland Cottage at Scenic Hill Retreat. We can count on it being very clean and comfortable and a nice retreat after a long day of antique shopping in Round Top.     Celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the Grand Spa cabin. It was our 3rd time at Scenic Hill and it did not disappoint. Loved the disco ball, shuffleboard, hot tub, comfortable bed, the great outdoors and serenity that Scenic Hill offers. Until next time...

    We celebrated our 30th anniversary and could not be happier with the 1890s cabin. We loved staying there. Weve been going to Round Top for our anniversary for the last 3 years, hopefully well be able to stay again next year!

    I rented one of the Oasis cabins as a surprise getaway for my girlfriend and me. The seclusion and privacy, along with the cabin itself made for an awesome stay. It all felt so peaceful. The cabin has a full kitchen setup, but we also werent that far from some of the local restaurants (around 15 minutes or so). Everything inside was great. The bathroom was big and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. They even had a massage table that we had the pleasure of using. But our favorite was the hot tub on the front porch. It ended up being the perfect place to propose!

    It was the perfect anniversary getaway for us. 7/19/2024 -7/21/2024. We loved the decor.The personal touches like the note on the door with our names on it, the complimentary breakfast items that were provided in the cabin,the homemade pecan muffins were amazing!!! Included in the breakfast.Private secluded area. We loved it so much we immediately booked for husbands birthday coming up in September. Wish we couldve stayed longer..

    The perfect secluded location for a peaceful, relaxing getaway! Close to Round Top and Brenham if you want some activity but the cabin and hot tub were fantastic and a much needed break from the rat race of big D!

    Scenic Hills Retreat has three separate areas, if you will, with a cabin to suit your needs, this review covers the section consisting of the Spa vista, The Homestead and the Spa cabins.The hosts responsiveness is phenomenal! They answered my questions within moments (and there were many!) while I was deciding where I wanted to take a very much needed and long overdue respite vacay, complete with my neurotic cat Velcro.I did book with them and today8/4/24 is my first night here and I was greeted with a personalized sign that even included The Velcro! I loved that extra sweet touch.Well this review is gonna be a long one ! My first full day was 8/5 and I slept like a baby on the oh so comfy bed as did The Velcro. As I opened the kitchen curtains I was greeted with the sight of a beautiful Pileated woodpecker! I did have a situation with the coffee maker, but will cover that in a moment, I had arranged for an in cabin massage with Gloria, see SHC website for more info on that cause its so worth it! And the price is extremely reasonable.And now back to the coffee maker situation, short story.... it was not functioning properly. I contacted the host and within 15 minutes or less she was at the cabin with a brand new coffee maker!They provide complimentary breakfast food for two days, this info is also found on their website along with several otheradd on items. They DO allow pets* both dogs AND cats!*caveat: Please make sure to read policy on size and breed restrictions on dogs.The Spa cabin is surrounded by trees with a lovely porch, and where %99 of my time was spent, that faces a beautiful open field with a northwesterly view, there is also a sitting area at ground level that has a bit better vantage point of the spectacular summer Texas sunset.I will always give an honest review. Beit good, bad or indifferent, this next part will fall into one of those depending on your own personal feelings. Keep in mind.... this is NOT the Ritz or some 5 star hotel in the Hamptons. This is in the country and being so there are spiders (of which I am particularly fond of, cause spiders= no roaches, mosquitoes well....a whole lot lessmosquitoes) or any other pesky night pests!) but these are not just your run of the mill everyday spiders, theyre big beautiful Orb Weavers spiders who tuck themselves out of your way so theres no worries about walking face first into them! And dont worry they wont come inside!Theyre also some of the coolest looking spiders EVER! Now this is our secret so dont tell anyone......a few of them may or may not be getting relocated to my garden.Another thing that is very much worth mentioning is the water, if youre from the city youre used to hard water, but being in the country this is well water and it is soft and being such it will feel like you can never get the soap rinse off when you shower and you can actually drink it!My stay was originally booked for 8/4-8/7 but it was so peaceful and relaxing that I asked for another day! And to my extreme delight the cabin was available! And if I had known my moms surgery was going to be canceled, I would have tried for even longer🤣P.S Gratuitous pics of The Velcro😆Peace out and NamasteAnd you should stay too!

    Scenic Hills Retreat is wonderful! So relaxing and such a beautiful setting in the rolling hills of Brenham. Ive been going to Scenic Hills for over 10 years and Im always so pleased with each cabin Ive had the opportunity to experience. The innkeepers are so accommodating and provide all of the comforts of home. The breakfast is delicious! The homemade muffins are a great way to start the day! The cabins are beautiful, clean, comfortable and private. I will be returning to Scenic Hills Retreat for many years to come! Thank you Brad and Jenny for being such amazing innkeepers and providing such a wonderful experience at Scenic Hills Retreat! See you soon!

    The Scenic Oaks Meadows Edge Cabin was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and well decorated. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. It was quiet and we didn’t see another person the entire weekend. The hot tub was so relaxing and an added bonus. The owner responded to every question we had in a timely manner. She even made us some amazing little pecan muffins and provided us with breakfast items. We would definitely recommend this place without any reservations. It was a lovely stay.

    My girlfriend and I spent 3 night in the Spa Vistas Cabin and it was very nice, the provided breakfast items were really enjoyable, those pecan muffins were to die for, we loved how private it felt and was even with a neighbor 40 yards away. The privacy we had was really nice because it just added to the fact it was our private vacation. We will definitely stay here again one of the best trips we taken so far.

    We stayed in the Spa Vista and absolutely loved it. Cabin is very private with a hot tub and massage table. My wife and I loved the two story birds nest for enjoying the morning and sipping coffee. Cabin was super clean. Great couple of days! We will be back! Thank you Jenny!

    The 1890 log cabin was a great getaway location. It was quiet and peaceful and private. The cabin was tidy and clean (I could even walk around in socks without my socks getting dirty, like has happened at some hotels). The sheets and towels smelled fresh, the bed was super comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast items were great! The reservation, check-in, and check-out process was smooth and they gave timely reminders, accurate directions, and clear instructions. We would definitely stay again!

    Lovely secluded spot with a wonderfully comfortable bed...the spa cabin feels as if you are up in the trees. While I didnt have time to use it, the hot tub on the porch looked like a fantastic way to spend an evening.

    These cabins are such a hidden gem & such a great place for a stay-cation. The beds are very comfy, soft sheets, always clean, beautifully decorated, and surrounded by beautiful surroundings.     We spent 2 nights celebrating our 42nd Anniversary. Scenic Oaks Meadows Edge cabin is literally a cabin in the woods!. Only birds around us. Everything about the cabin is awesome. Even the shower... No internet and very spotty cell service makes you put away the phone for once. We did watch one DVD movie. We will be back to try other cabins as they all have excellent reviews. Just a terrific location and hospitality!

    This was our second stay and it was terrific again! We stayed in the Retreat cabin because it’s the only one with WIFI (even on holiday my husband has to be accessible for work) and enjoyed the space and area. We were able to make Thanksgiving dinner in the full kitchen and then spend the evening soaking in the hot tub. We had family staying in another cabin and shared leftovers and games over the weekend. We love everything about this place. Can’t wait to book another trip! And we’re very appreciative that we can bring our dog! 🐶❤️

    Such a wonderful experience. Great for a quick weekend getaway. The cabin & property was very clean & maintained. The cabin was cute and comfortable. It was clean & had everything you needed for a romantic get away. Very peaceful & relaxing location. Oasis cabin was perfect! Hot tub was perfect with fresh clean water. My husband told me to book another trip before we even left. Our only problem was we didn’t book a longer stay..2 nights wasn’t enough. ❤️

    This will have been the second timeI have stayed at the cabins. I am very pleased with the whole experience. Easy drive from Houston for a short reprieve. I needed help one time with the oven in my cabin and they were very responsive and efficient in remedying the problem. Hot tub was used every day- just with temp turned down since we came in the heat of July. It is a cabin so expect bugs (not necessarily inside). But I don’t mind it. That’s why I chose to get out and feel secluded in nature. Woke up each morning feeling like I was in a treehouse. And the items provided for breakfast is the perfect touch! Only suggestion for the resort would be robes. Always nice to get out of hot tub and have a robe ☺️.Highly recommend this place. We stayed in the Hidden Grove cabin this time for reference. We will be back.

    My husband came up with this idea and we absolutely had an amazing time at the Spa Cabin!! The nice touches of home made muffins to all the little things you’d need even to be able to cook. We loved it here!!! We will definitely come back again when it’s cool like this time. The foot bridge looked like it’d been sooo awesome! It was amazing to destress and enjoy nature and each other!!     My fiancé and I came here for our 4 year anniversary. It was the perfect setting for us to reconnect without distractions of children, animals, TV and technology. We rented the spa cabin and plan on a trip for next years anniversary. We enjoyed watching the cardinals and squirrels. We loved hearing the soft bellows of cows and the night songs of the frogs. We enjoyed local restaurants that were also top notch. The hot tub let us melt the stress of everyday life away. We loved reading the guest book to see what others that stayed there had to say. Thank you for sharing a little bit of the country with us!

    Scenic Hill Retreat is the perfect place to get away, relax, and unplug. My wife and I came here for our anniversary weekend, and it was perfect. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, very private, and stocked with breakfast items! Very cozy. Our cabin had a hot tub which was wonderful. One of the pleasant surprises was a DVD player with a nice selection of classic movies...we enjoyed just laying in the king size comfy bed and watching movies like we used to, the old school way, LOL! We took several short trips into downtown Brenham (less than 10 minutes away) to have meals, drinks, and browse the shops. Such a charming area! Overall, a fantastic trip! We highly recommend staying at Scenic Hill Retreat!!

    What a great experience! We celebrated my wifes birthday/NYE and stayed two nights. The property was so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining guests with cocktails, grilled quail and black-eyed peas. The hot tub was the perfect thing at the end of the day. We slept like babies after a nice long soak. We will definitely come back here!

    This was our second time here, and it was very romantic. We are in love with the Oasis! These quaint little cabins are a great getaway from the hustle bustle of the big city. An addition of a charcoal grill or two in the meadow would be a great addition, but thats not a game changer for us at all! 5 stars!!

    This was our second time staying here for a weekend getaway. We chose a different cabin this time and it was still perfect. Everything is clean and stocked with what you need. We always choose the hot tub option and it’s a great way to relax and unwind. We can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s important for couples to get away and this is the perfect place to do so.

    They went above and beyond from chocolate covered strawberries, breakfast items just everything. The location is perfect serenity, and having a hot tub seals the entire ambiance. So many options to include couples massages. We also were only 10 minutes from brenham and about 15 from round top. You can do as much or as little as you like. We will definitely be back soon.

    We had an amazing time here! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and it was such a relaxing weekend! Internet and cell coverage was iffy, but we expected that in the country, so we bought a mobile hotspot device and it worked perfect! I really don’t have a negative thing to say at all. We will 100% be back!!

    Stayed here many times over the past 3 or 4 years. Excellent secluded and private. The Oasis is our favorite but the the Meadows Edge is also great. They are all great. Super clean and welcoming. It’s the perfect place to get away with you significant other and reconnect! Highly recommend!

    Beautiful cabins, contact less check in. Very quiet and peaceful. Would recommend to anyone for a nice get away. Bring your own food and coffee if you like special flavor. They supply plates, dishes, towels, etc. it was very clean and organized. We walked a trail on the scenic hill property and found the bridge was out so you cannot access the other side of the trail to get to the game area you have to drive right now. There was caution tape but it was ripped down. Game area had volleyball but not set up and horse shoe area but it had weeds that has not been cut. So you would probably be better bringing your own games. There is a map on the website that i found after we were there so we passed up the entrance my mistake. We had to call and the lady on the phone was very helpful. Cant wait to stay in other cabins. They are close enough to brenham to leave for dinner but have that country alone feel.

    We absolutely love staying here. It is the perfect setting for a weekend getaway. Privacy is taken seriously here. Very secluded and peaceful. Able to reconnect with my husband and escape the Hustle and bustle of the city and life in general. The Amenities were excellent and the breakfast items provided were not only convenient but delicious and fun to prepare each morning. I can not recommend this oasis high enough.     Very private house! Very clean and well furnished. There were ants in the hot tub frame, so be careful if you get in there at night. The house was well stocked with games and amenities. We turned on our hotspot to get on our Netflix… Verizon works great there.

    Loving our visit here at The Grand Spa! It’s very quiet and peaceful but you can hear the vehicles pass by on the highway. Far enough away to where it’s not a major issue though. We love the hot tub nestled in the trees and have had lots of fun with the shuffleboard in the living room. No Wi-Fi is definitely a bummer but we’ve made do - connecting our computer to phone’s internet connection for work. Cell service is ok with AT&T. The kitchen was very well stocked - we’ve found everything we needed it it and more. Thank you for the very comfortable bed! Very soft sheets and high end mattress! This is so important to me on vacations and can ruin a trip if not provided. The living room large sectional sofa has been great for stretching out together, watching movies at night. Also, the light up disco ball in the middle of the living room was unexpected but added a fun factor at night for sure! We definitely plan to return. Thank you!

    Book it now! This place is awesome. My wife and I stayed at the Spa Vista, we had coffee in the treetops on the observation deck, massages in the afternoon, and night caps in the hot tub. Simply relaxing. The place had everything and was beautifully decorated. Nicely done!

    Me and my wife stayed in the veranda over the weekend. We would recommend staying here to anybody who wants to get a private getaway. Room was very nice and jacuzzi tub that was amazing. The Treehouse at Scenic Hill was a perfect location for us being central between Round Top, Brenham, and Chappel Hill. Very private and cozy.     Exactly what we needed! Private, quiet and beautiful. We will be back, the meadows edge cabin had everything we needed. We didnt have to leave the property, enjoyed the trails and nature.     Meadows Edge: Had such a great time! Went for our anniversary and to get away from all the stress Houston and kids bring us. On the way there you see nothing but land and trees, zero traffic. Very peaceful. Upon arrival you see your cabin surrounded by nothing else but trees and trails. The cabin was very well kept, like new. If you can imagine sitting in a hot tub while the weather is 48 degrees outside, listening to nothing but the wind hitting the leaves and knowing there is no one else around but you and your spouse... that’s exactly how it was. Everything you can possibly think is needed, was provided. DVDs, board games, breakfast and mini muffins await you. Outdoor gas grill and hammock was available. Visited the nearby Royers cafe, which was a little pricey but good. H.E.B not too far. Loved this place and will definitely be back!!!!

    The Homestead cabin was the cutest! It was clean and well stocked, complete with a hot tub on the porch which was amazing for the cool evenings! We would love to come back for another visit :)

    Adorable, romantic, rustic-sheek cabins in the woods. We stayed in the Spa Vistas, which was a restored old log cabin, completely updated and beautifully decorated, with a 2 story tower-deck. It came with a hot tub and massage table, breakfast items to make (eggs, sausage, biscuits), and we booked Gloria to come out for private massages. She was fantastic, incredibly professional and gave a wonderful massage for me and my husband. Our only complaints are with this particular cabin: the tree coverage around the cabin is really dense so even from the tower you dont get much of a view. And this cabin was extremely close to the road so we could hear traffic driving by non-stop at all hours of the day/night, which disrupted the solitude (something we specifically were hoping for when we booked this place). There are a ton of cute little places to explore in this area, and we enjoyed some of the recommendations off the website of things to do. We would definitely come back and recommend here, only wed stay in a different cabin (as most of the canins are situated further back off the road).

    My husband and I stayed here for 5 days to escape the bustle of Houston. We absolutely loved it! They anticipated amenities we didnt even THINK of! Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to a family emergency, but, the owner was amazing AND understanding and only charged us for the nights we stayed. We ABSOLUTELY will be going back SOON!

    Jim did a fabulous job of making us feel at home. The Homestead Cabin is antique yet modern and the view out the window is beautiful. The cabin and jacuzzi were clean, tidy and the amenities and environment made for a relaxing, peaceful getaway from the busy-ness and congestion in Houston. This will be one of our favorite vacation spots in the future. Overall, a wonderfully rewarding and peaceful time!

    My family and I stayed in the farm house we celebrated my dads 62nd birthday he grew up on a farm so brought back a lot of memories for him. The kitchen is full stocked with utensils and pots pans basically everything you could think of. Lot of indoor and outdoor games to play. Beautiful farm house very peaceful.

    My wife and I come here to escape.It feels very private. It is by a main road but you wont even care. When you first get there the cabin is perfect, it takes your breath away. We visit the local winery and a few attractions, but its hard to leave even for just a bit. If you need to leave for supplys the local walmart is about 15 mins away. This is my second trip and my wife and I are sure to go back again very soon. If i can only find a gun range and a spot to hunt hogs, I might not ever come home.

    We stayed here in March 2013 and loved it. We stayed in The Treehouse, which was a really fun experience! Everything was very clean, and the price was reasonable. We will definitely return here. I recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet getaway or a unique change of pace from hotels.

    We stayed at the Grand Spa for our 25th anniversary and loved it!! When we walked in we were blown away!Beautiful cabin with everything you needTotal relaxation..the beds are to die for soooooo comfortable..movies..games..hot tub..breakfast in the fridge..disco ball..peace..quiet..close to town..gas grill..all the amenities..walking trails..trails are lit up at night..PERFECT FOR COUPLES!! What we love about it the most is no one bothers you and you are not sharing a house like most B&B. I told my wife we need to build a cabin just like this.We will definitely be going back. We are thinking the treehouse next time. We wish we would have found this place sooner.This is just what my wife and I needed. I am ready to retire.....LOL
