    Just spend 2 days at The Sandollar. The room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Nestled between the sand dunes so it was hiden away from the rest of the beach which was perfect. The view was amazing which is exactly what my husband and I wanted. Highly recommend you check out this gem. This weekend it was a bit chilly but so thankful for a place so close to the water. The owners are wonderful and we enjoyed chatting with them. We will definitely be back.

    The pictures of this property just don’t do it justice! The fact that you have to literally drive on the beach to get to this property should say enough. Our younger children were awestruck by how close the ocean was. The views and atmosphere were absolutely amazing.We did encounter a few hiccups with our room that were beyond the owner’s control. However, the caretakers, Ashley and Keith, were incredible! They addressed the issue immediately and made sure we were well accommodated.From start to finish, they were on top of everything—answering all of our quirky questions and handling any concerns with care. I highly recommend Sandollar Sity for its stunning views and the outstanding service provided by the caretakers.We will absolutely stay again, beautiful scenery, location and service, why wouldnt we!

    My husband and two boys (5 and 7) stayed at Sandollar Sity for New Years and had the best time! The owners were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any and all questions. The rooms were comfy and had everything we needed, but the views and location are what make this place really special. Walk out the door and you are literally on the beach! Since you can only access it from the sand, it feels secluded and peaceful, and truly “off the beaten path”, but it is still minutes from everything. Rent a golf cart from Island Carts (another local family-owned business) and cruise the shoreline or drive around town. 10/10 highly recommend. We will be back for sure!

    Love this place! Right on the beach. A balcony with a great view of the waves. In a secluded nook in the dunes. Comfortable rooms and a great host/hostess to ensure your stay was good. The only reason for 4 stars on the room is because the bathroom may be a little small for some people. A tip: I would suggest bringing a larger mug than the coffee cups provided because the coffee-pod machine overfilled the cups on the lowest setting. I would highly recommend Sandollar Sity for anyone wanting a cozy stay on the beach in Port Aransas!

    Cozy, home feeling right on the beach! Nestled between the dunes, this place has the best views. The kitchenette was well stocked and we were able to cook breakfast and enjoy the morning sunrise over the water without having to even leave the room. Private patios, comfy beds, easy to get to. We didnt bring a 4wheel drive vehicle but its the equivalent of a city block of driving on the packed beach road, no problems for any vehicle IMO. Perfect beach for shell hunting, close to everything. We loved our stay and especially how secluded it was, not your average crowded beach resort. Definitely a laid back feel. Highly recommend especially for the price! Cant wait to come back

    My hubby and I enjoyed a perfect quiet getaway at Barefoot Bungalow at Sanddollar Sity and it was FANTASTIC. This place is a gem. Quiet, laid back, fun and funky vibe. You are literally in the dunes and less than a minute walk to the water.The view from the deck was amazing. We were there during a full moon and watching it rise above the water and over the dunes was super cool - lots of photo ops.The beds were comfy, the shower was hot, and the kitchen was a great size for a few meals. We watched live sports on the Smart TV and had no problems (we were worried about WIFI being so close to the beach.)One of the things we loved best was that it was owned by a local family who truly care about their guests comfort and the area. When my husbands truck battery was dead, we called to ask for a local tow service and the owner headed over immediately to jump us off, although before he could arrive another guest helped us.We will come back, again and again - already have reservations for Sandfest!

    If youre looking for the opposite of a crowded condo beach vacation, this is it. Sandollar Sity is a small set of charming family-run cabins just a few steps from the beach. The beds are comfortable and the nights are quiet. Weve stayed with them several times through the years. Its the best lodging weve found in Port A.

    We were in town for my nephews graduation. Our family unit of 14 utilized three rooms and our extended family took up majority of the rest of the facility. Our room was clean and was very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The grounds were great. Beach was just a short easy walk. Loved it and hope to go back soon.

    Absolutely fantastic! We were blown away by the stunning ocean views and how close it is to the ocean, just a short walk to the beach. The houses are well-equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and high quality linens. The fact that it accommodated 35 of us was AMAZING!!! I cant wait to go back!!

    LOVED OUR STAY! Of all the places I’ve stayed in Port A this is hands down my favorite. We felt as if we were RIGHT ON THE BEACH so it was easy to take a break for lunch in the room and hit the waves again without having to fight traffic or lose our spot on the beach. I will always choose Sandollar Sity for my Port A trips in the future.

    We rented almost the entire place for the whole family. It worked perfectly! The location can’t be beat and the rooms were just what we needed. Highly recommend. ❤️

    Stayed in Pelican Perch a week ago and had an amazing time. First, this place is one of the only that is directly on the beach! Literally walking distance from the room with free beach toys and boogie boards available onsite. The room was clean and the access to a full kitchen made my stay amazing. I never had to leave the island. They even offered grills out back for grilling and the office has a wide selection of adult beverages along with child friendly options. This is not a corporate run Resort, its family owned, so dont expect high amenities. It was so perfect for such a beautiful location. Most our time was on the beach and it was so nice to just walk to the coast and enjoy our vacation. Very unique, eclectic Port A vacation rental and totally worth it. I feel the negative reviews were looking for a chain Hyatt or something, but trust that you and your family will enjoy your stay. The amazing staff makes you feel at home. We will definitely be back!

    You just can’t beat being right on the beach in Port-A. The owner and staff were all very nice, helpful and eager to please. We stayed in one of the efficiency style units and it was much more roomier that anticipated. AC was cold, outdoor shower was nice to rinse the beach off instead of taking it in the room with you. Small, quaint, one of a kind, gem on the island.

    Great view. We stayed at one of the bottoms rooms. Did not like sand was there at the door. Our kids kept bringing it in in shoes. But of course we were there to enjoy the sand :). Lol. Things are still a little rusted, not sure if they are panning on replacing things or not. Room smelled like dust, or old water. BBQ grill were rusted and old. But over all we were so happy, did not need to rent a car. We were able to walk to the beach without having to worry about getting are vehicle full with sand. Will stay here again.

    We spent spring break here with 4 children, we had amazing time , this property is on the beach and was super cozy. Friendly staff we really never needed anything. We spent most of the days on the beach boogie boarding and enjoying the perfect weather. We rented a golf cart from top deck golf cart company and was able le to cruise the beach at ease. The property had pleanty of parking for it. We will definitely be back.

    Super Kitschy, beach-eclectic! My family loved it- exactly what we were looking for! It was very nice to be able to walk out to the beach and back at will. Come prepared with books, games, puzzles, (-they have an Amazon Firestick!) food, shampoo, soap, extra beach and bath towels, paper towels, and dish towels- but we actually liked that there wasn’t any maid service interruption! We can’t wait to come back next year and maybe bring the extended family!

    Nice place. Best views. Needs a bit of clean up for the $245 a night we spent it didnt have TV the wood floors were raw wood. Smelled a little musty. The people running it were super nice. I give it 5 stars for the on the beach and perfect views

    We stayed here a few years ago . loved it! my brother is in a wheelchair and it was perfect for him. we stayed in the studio and it slept 4 people comfortably. cant wait to visit Port A again . We plan to stay at Sandollar Sity . Its clean, quiet and not trashy like some of the other places I have seen on the beach.

    This was a nice place to camp the beach. There are no showers close by and the store is a ways away. But the ocean is right there and what we were looking for. It was busy because it was memorial day weekend. But not overly crowded to the point of stepping on people trying to get to the water. Overall it is a nice place to camp.

    Place is clean, very well kept. Full kitchen with everything you would need. Coffee maker, toaster and microwave and dishes. I stayed 3 days and plan on staying there again. Cant beat the location, its on the beach!

    Absolutely wonderful stay. Beautiful view and friendly staff. Rooms were very clean. Has stove and refrigerator. Even a place to wash and dry your clothes. Looking forward to next visit.

    Right on the beach, nice people. Picture is from our deck on 2nd floor. They are rebuilding after hurricane damage and they are making progress. Its not perfect again yet, but it was a small condo that you can only access from the beach...
