    My husband and I spent a week in room#403. The view was great! The room had everything we needed, including a washer/dryer combo in a closet. The only drawback in the room was the shower curtain needed to be replaced, it was a little moldy on the bottom, I did tell the front desk at check-out. They said they would let housekeeping know. Also, someone is building a house next to the condos and the construction crew was working every morning at 7am. It was very loud from our balcony (I do understand that is not the fault of Sandcastle and is beyond their control). The walk to the beach was 5 minutes and we were able to rent a golf cart on the property which made getting around town and the beach very easy. The staff was very friendly and made our stay very pleasant. We will be back.

    On Location, for site inspection. I Enjoyed another visit with a Bride & Groom for a Wedding in June 25.This is the square foot venue that provides multi stall bathrooms and a professional prep kitchen.Occupancy: 150 (seated) 300 (social), but they only provide seating and tables for 80. Additional tables and chairs for your guests will have to be rented.

    Great place to stay, highly recommend the off season. A lot quieter, pricing is reasonable, weather is perfect and it’s easier to find a place to eat around town. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Would come back for sure!

    Sandcastle is close to town and on the beach. Kid friendly with a very large pool area and spa. Been here many times over the years and always enjoy it.

    We stayed in unit #331 last week and it was nice. Bed and chairs were very comfortable. Our view from the patio of the pool and ocean were great. We rented late and didnt have a big selection but it was a good one. The only thing the unit could use is some hooks in the bathroom and also the shower (which is very nice) is very slick. Overall we would definitely rent this room again. Staff is great too!

    Third time here. Great service, on-site buggy rental, pickle ball both added since last stay. Easy beach access. In the morning, when full occupancy, we do notice hyper kid voices in hallway but otherwise quiet prevails. We WILL stay here again. Oh, and two 48amp chargers, 25 cents per kwH, about what tesla supercharger costs. Be sure the email address you use for checking is what you use to enable the Ez2charge app, then it works easily.

    I wanted to come back and give an update. I had an issue with a reservation and the girls up front and the manager were so helpful. Resolved my problem on the spot. Ive lost count of how many times weve came here now, but every one has been a really great experience overall. I do still think the beds could use updating since my other post.Loved staying here. Going back in a few weeks. Our only complaint was the bed. Everything else was amazing

    Stayed in room #105, the view was amazing! The room was new and modern with massive televisions and cold AC! Everything was great about this place. There were no cameras as someone stated before and there was plenty of privacy. One minute walk to pool and feeding the turtles, and two minute walk to the beach. This place is has music and events going at the pool all weekend long, it is great!

    Sandcastle Condominiums exceeded my expectations! Check-in was so easy and the front desk staff was so pleasant. I stayed in unit #419. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was very nice! This unit had everything I needed and then some! But the greatest attraction was the VIEW from the balcony! You can’t get any better than the view of the Gulf of Mexico from here! The balcony also overlooked the large pool! At night, it was nice to sit on the balcony in the comfortable Adirondack chairs and feel the breeze from the Gulf.This is definitely my new favorite place I’ll stay every time I’m in Port Aransas.

    We picked Sandcastle bc of how close it is to the beach. You can walk directly onto the beach and rent a chair/tent or drive using the access road adjacent to the hotel. Super convenient. Stayed here years ago (before the hurricane) and holy smokes the renovations are awesome! Inside and out! Everything seems to have been remodeled. The pictures on the website are 100% accurate. The staff/service were awesome (fast, friendly, attentive). Our room #536 is an efficiency room. Comfortable king size bed, full size fridge and oven, pretty well stocked kitchen, plenty of storage (even came with beach toys and chairs) perfect for 2 people. We barely heard any noise meaning the rooms are pretty well sound proofed. Heads up: no dishwasher, and the wifi sucks (TV kept buffering).

    The perfect location! Walk or better yet, Golf Cart to the beach or favorite diner. Easy access to everything! Beautiful beach views from #402. Destiny was a perfect Hotel receptionist. So kind and knowledgeable. Thank you all for a wonderful vacation 💕

    This condo hotel is fabulous! The room was perfect, from the view to the furniture to the fully functional kitchen and nice balcony. The hotel has a great pool that is huge with 2 adults only jacuzzi for 10+ people. The boardwalk to the beach is easy to use, lighted and secured. There is plenty of parking and elevators. The staff were great, always nice and helpful for everything. Thanks Sandcastle Condos, we look forward to returning this year 2024 for our wedding on the beach with many of our friends and family!

    First time visit and surprised at how nice the condo unit was. These have been all recently renovated and very nice. And they have several that are connecting if you have a group. Would recommend getting one on the 4th or 5th to take full advantage of the views Location on the island was great, close to restaurants, activities. Pool area very nice and large.Only slight downside was the beach area was a bit “muddy” but others said it was due to rains the previous week. Water was much nicer than expected. (We are spoiled with the Florida beaches) Would definitely come back for a quick beach vacation. And splurge on a golf cart. Yes it is the preferred mode of transportation and appears to be part of the entertainment of the island. Plus you can drive on the beach and find your best spot to spend the day

    This condo hotel is amazing! Super clean and modern don’t let the outside full you! Clerks were super nice. Trip with a good friend, but definitely coming back with my daughter for her birthday! Beach is a walk away..

    We stayed in Unit 409 this time (its our second time here). Lovely view of the gulf and the pool. We stumbled upon the week before Sandfest when all the prep is taking place. It makes the beach a lot less walkable, but we loved watching the artists make giant sand sculptures. They offer sand castle building lessons, too. Probably really fun, though we didnt try it. The unit is nice and spacious and clean. There is absolutely nothing edible in the kitchen, so bring your own salt and pepper ... and coffee! The front desk staff is lovely and will replace dirty towels with clean ones and provide additional toilet paper or soap if you run out. Laundry room by the parking garage takes quarters or Apple/Google pay. Parking is free! We will be back here again. Port A is one of our new favorite places.

    Such a gem! Perfect location, as close as you can get to the water and right across from the sweetest family owned golf cart rental service. Room was remodeled and upgraded. Bathroom was plenty big enough. Also has a pool which is a great option when you grow tired of the sand but still want the water. Friendly staff. room came with everything you need to be comfortable. Already rebooked for next month.

    I help clean these Condos. So i know you will love and have a good experience. Excellent views of the beach from the bed in the room looking thru the crystal clear glass from the balcony. The rooms are spacious with so many different options your sure to find one that will meet your needs. If your looking to visit and wanna relax this is the place. You will not be disappointed.

    Room 304 was great. Lots of space. Beautiful view of the ocean. Plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, and dishes. Only complaints would be the boards in the parking lot I’m assuming for construction. If you have a lowered car or a sports car it could be damaging and/or prevent you from being able to drive into the at all. There’s very large gaps and ruts. Also would make it much better if the pool area was open past 11PM. The hours aren’t listed anywhere online or in any paper handouts they give. The beach is there in the day, it would be nice to get done at the local restaurants and bars to come back and hop in the hot tub.

    Great area to be in. We loved it. Very clean and maintained. Clerks nott so friendly, they were kind of sad looking instead of cheerful and happy. No smiles just there. But the property and rooms were great. Only one elevator worked on the side we were on , so if you were towards the end of the building like we were it was stairs .

    We had a fantastic stay! They don’t stock consumables for length of stay but getting additional supplies was easy. Only one complaint: no children under 14 or 16 and pool wasn’t heated so the kids didn’t have a warm place ti swim a couple days it was pretty cool.

    We always stay in the condos numbered 37 on 2nd or 3rd floors. The views are great. The sun comes up in front of the balcony. The units are nicely decorated and well maintained. The only complaint is the TV system is hard to navigate and we could have used an instruction sheet.

    Ive been coming to sandcastle for a while. They were reasonably priced, have a decent pool, and direct access to the beach. The hurricane and then closing due to damage put a stop to that. I was happy to hear they finally remodeled and reopened. Of course, with the pandemic, we still stayed away but finally returned in 2023! The website needs to be updated. You still have to check in in person in the lobby. Get your key. The keys stopped working prior to our last day. Luckily, we always had a person available inside to open the door. The pool is nice, but the fountain needs an upgrade, and the pool walls need to be cleaned. There is a bit of black mold. There is nothing to give it less than 5 stars for the price.

    Absolutely amazing accommodations. I would highly recommend Sandcastle. We had a one bedroom condo with an amazing view of the pool and the gulf. It was extremely clean and well appointed. There were his and her closets in the bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates and cups, coffee mugs, flatware, pots and pans, toaster, blender, and many other kitchen essentials. Our unit had a washer and dryer as well. They start you off with one roll of paper towels and some kitchen towels. They give you a fresh unopened, kitchen sponge, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher tablets. If we ran out of something, we just ask at the front desk, and they happily replenished. If you’re gonna wash clothes you will need to bring your own laundry soap. The staff and everyone we talk to that worked there was very, very friendly. All the restaurants and shops are close by. Everything is within a five minute drive time. We did not get a golf cart but purchased a $12 beach pass because you can drive right up on the beach. We will be back 😄

    Good location; right on the beach. The room was nice; we could hear the people in the room next door. Great AC! Far accommodation; expected a bit more for the price. The elevators were not working properly; we either had to walk to another elevator and hope it worked or take the stairs (our room was on the 4th floor). My daughter and I stayed for 5 days. There were only 2 towels in the room, and it took a day to get more. There were only 2 filters for the coffee pot and it wasnt even the right kind. No coffee or fixings available in the room.

    We stayed in unit 320. Great location and awesome view. I love that I could wash dishes or cook lunch and stare at the water. I knocked a star on the room because it smelled bad the first night and we realized it was from the large living room curtain. When we opened it we immediately smelled animal urine. It stuck around till the next day after housekeeping came by to help fix it. We never opened the curtain for the rest of the stay in fear it would smell again. Also, the living room carpet is absolutely awful. This thing hasn’t been vacuumed in awhile and is in need of a deep clean. We couldn’t even sit on it and that sucks with a baby who spends most of their day on the floor. We had to lay blankets down. I shared a couple of photos showing how much this thing sheds. Hair and fuzz is coming off of it so bad. Otherwise, the property was nice. I personally love that it had a tub. Most units do not but it’s so helpful with children. We used the pool a couple of times. It has the boardwalk to the beach. Destiny at the front desk was very helpful. All the staff was really nice. We definitely plan to come back but probably a different unit.

    Had a great time in unit #113! Very clean. Have a blocked view of the water due to the dunes, but still nice and you dont get the direct sun. The beach Tue-Fri wasnt crowded. Had an issue with the bed that maintenance was able to quickly fix. The legs for the middle support were half missing. They are stingy with towels so just pack your own shower towels. Its very much a hotel so no blanket for the couch. Thanks to previous guests who left their streaming apps logged into the TV. The dryer filter had 10 pounds of lint and sand in it and seems like a fire hazard. They need to have room service clean these out and not rely on guest.

    Overall a great experience. Service was incredible - had to change reservation twice and the staff handled it quickly (even late-night reply!) and pleasantly. The room was very bright and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, dishes, and cookware. Since my husband drinks decaf coffee and I drink regular, our preference is a Keurig rather than a regular coffee pot. A set of tall balcony chairs would have been great since the railing blocks the view with the current ones. Suggestion to next guests, bring: 1) wash cloths (they provide bath towels and hand towels), 2) beach towels, and 3) hand soap. Overall a great experience, and we eagerly await our next visit to Sandcastle as this has become our go-to for our future Port A visits!

    We booked a studio & it was nicely furnished & had a great view perfect for a mom-and-dad-only getaway. It was, however, missing a few essentials, like a washer & dryer and simply a dish-drainer for hand wash dishes. Access to the beach was a bit challenging, since their walkway has several stairs going up and down before accessing the beach - we chose to wheel our wagon down the public beach access road instead.

    Everything about our stay here was excellent! The renovations are beautiful, the staff is super helpful and friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is kept clean, and the resort security does a great job monitoring the lot and resort. The location and views can’t be beat, and our unit was beautiful! Thank you for a fantastic stay!

    Our experience in unit #418 was great overall. Pros: modern decor; clean and reasonably well maintained property; comfortable bed; well-stocked kitchen; great views; quiet; blackout curtains. Cons: weak/spotty internet; minimal towels + wash cloths; housekeeping forgot to restock soap or paper products before our check in; elevator broke down. Overall we would stay here again, but just keep your expectations in check - its not gonna be like the Four Seasons but its still a great place for small families and in a great location.

    Absolutely magical! Right off the beach, has a boardwalk from the condos straight to the beach. The pool is huge, super clean and beautiful. The employees were super nice and our room had an incredible view with beautiful indoor accommodations.

    The staff was very friendly, the location was amazing, and the room was beautiful and nicely updated. There were issues I couldnt overlook. I could not overlook the beds. They were terrible. Im not sure if they are all that bad, but it was one of the worst I have ever slept on. The pull out coach bed was even worse. The other issue we had was that you can easily hear whats going on in the condo next to you. There are doors that connect the units and sound travels right through them. We unfortunately heard EVERYTHING that our neighbor was doing next door.

    The rooms are beautiful, the view is beautiful, i love how it feels very homey. BUT... the floors were Gross! You can tell they DO NOT MOP THE FLOORS In the Condos, because the1st night there we already had black stains on our bare feets and when we decided to wear Socks they ended up black too.

    We love the Sandcastle and came to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We were excited when it opened back up last year because its one of our favorite places to go on the beach. Everything was great! My only issue was they said they would call when our room was ready and they never called. It also showed that our room would have a coffee pot but no coffee pot. But other than that it was a great time and well definitely be coming back!

    The good stuff: Beautiful condo(#211). Friendly and just lovely front desk staff. Wonderfully hot hot tub. Good parking.The not so good stuff: We pay a cleaning fee. This studio condo did not have a dishwasher (which I am normally fine to load) so I did dishes by hand and brought our trash out to the dumpster. Humm.I hate the wrist bands. Hate them.Hard to get in and out of the shower without slipping.So even though weve mostly stayed here for over 30 years, we have booked a different site for our June trip.

    Great long weekend in October. Beautiful rooms and views were great! Weather was perfect and this condo has one of the best spots on the beach. Loved the live music on Saturday. Close to town with great restaurants and boat cruises. Will definitely come again.

    Stayed in unit 211 while there 7/5-7/9/23. Walked in and my room wasnt ready from housekeeping. The room stunk like Nasty trash or someone cooking bad food. Finally the smell dissipated. Enjoyed the view and the stay otherwise. We will be back for sure. An awesome place to stay on the island.Destiny at the front desk was awesome....Kuddos!!!

    My family, friends and I have been staying at Sandcastle over the span of 50 years. We have always had great customer service, clean rooms with great beach views at a good price! My husband and I recently stayed and found the rooms totally remodeled/new due to the hurricane. Sandcastle is cleaner than ever at reasonable pricing. The staff was so very accommodating as we moved a couple times since we kept changing our departure date! Will continue to stay at a place we call our beach home! Great job Sandcastle!

    Sandcastle Condominiums is a wonderful location. The view from unit 516 is amazing. You can hear the calm of water, see the beach and beautiful pool. The condo was so comfortable and very clean. Sandcastle is walking distance from the beach and within minutes of restaurants.We will stay here again and have referred to several friends already.

    Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. Very nice rooms (with a nice beach house vibe, fully stocked kitchens, comfy bedding, and modern appliances) and scenic views of the beach. The private walkway to and from the beach with water hoses to rinse yourself off is a nice touch too. Also found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is that the unit I stayed in (506) was not well soundproofed at all. I could clearly hear the people in the unit next to me when they were talking or watching tv (and not just muffled voices, I could easily make out every word said) even though they weren’t doing either at a loud volume. It was like there wasn’t any wall dividing us. It had me concerned they’d be able to hear me too even if I wasn’t being loud and thus I had to be a lot quieter than I’d expected to be. Not sure if this is an issue in all units (and was wondering if maybe the people in the unit next to me had the doorway connecting the two units open on their side and that made them easier to hear), but I hope it’s something the staff will look into. Overall I’d say this is a great place to stay for its amenities and close proximity to the beach (especially for the price), just be wary of the soundproofing issue.

    Condo #508 has a beautiful view of the beach and sunrise 🔆 Very roomy for a couple & couch pulls out into a sleeper sofa. The king size bed in the bedroom was similar to a TempurPedic and I slept the best I have away from my home 💗 we visited last in December and the pool is not heated but we did get in the hot tub. Beautiful location on the beach close to town.

    #511 was a really nice unit! The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the balcony had a great view of the beach. The weather was nice enough to sleep with the doors open so we could hear the waves.

    We stayed here during Labor Day weekend and had a condo on the top floor with an amazing view of the beach, ocean and pool. The complex and pool was clean and they even had live music on a Saturday afternoon. If you stay here, look for a room in the 500’s to be on the top floor. I think you can see the beach from any room!

    Stayed at Sandcastle Condominium These are newly renovated, 175 a night and right on the beach or with a beach view! I got a one bedroom condominium it was about 1000 square-foot, I do believe these are privately owned, if you are going to iron anything make sure you bring your own ironing board and iron. Other than that it is fully furnished. There is no maid service here, i’m completely good with that, And everything else I got throw away. Definitely recommend these condominiums, everything is right here fishing spots, restaurants, or you could choose to cook they have all the utensils, pots and pans, and everything else. Bring your own salt and pepper shakers, heads up ⬆️ I would just go downstairs in the garage where they do laundry and I would get towels daily, I would ask Miss Cindy for everything and she would give it to me. Everybody was very nice and pleasant here. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family members. It is not a full-service hotel it’s simply a condominium, that is independently owned and well-kept.

    Best place to stay in Port A! The pool plus the beach makes for a great trip. The condos are nice and clean and the front desk even provides complimentary parking passes for rented golf carts. The ocean view from all the rooms is amazing, and the front desk ladies were always so nice and helpful.

    Stayed in unit 415 over Easter weekend 2017. The place overall is nice, but not fancy. Its well maintained though and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms balcony faced southeast so it was nice to not have a ton of sun hit the back door in the morning (you know, if youre not a morning person).Our cable was out when we came back late one night and the maintenance guy came up really quickly, then stayed to chat with us about the area. Really nice staff.During the day we had the patio door open. We decided to take a nap. Folks were enjoying the pool so it was a tad noisy; we closed the door, sound gone... well built! Great nap! :)To sum up, its easy access to the beach. Family friendly. No pets allowed though. It has a nice pool, hot tub, and exercise room. The property even has a hut where you can clean the fish you catch.Its a 6 minute bike ride to most of the eateries and shopping on the island. Great location!

    Very happy with our room (213) and view! Security is highly visible, friendly, and well respected among fellow guests. 11pm pool curfew is enforced, and everyone happily complied. Very family friendly. No problems with the front desk with early arrival (our room wasnt ready but we were welcome to use the pool and beach access), and very easy to get sheets for the pullout sofa-bed and coffee filters (found those later with the dish towels - oops!). Our 1 bedroom unit is bigger than we expected! My second stay here, and I will book again!

    First of all I would like to say that I have been coming here for many, many years. Yes, the facility is an older one, but I think its charming. I have never had a bad experience here, and I plan on returning for years to come. I think its a shame that one negative event would result in a 1 star review.     Rented a beautiful condo in which the balcony faced the Gulf and had beach access. Sandcastle Condos have covered parking, a beautiful pool as well as a hot tub & onsite self laundry facility. Check in is staffed 24 hrs. It was an awesome & wonderful stay.

    We went a couple months ago, March7-9 for Spring Break. The weather was bad!!! We stayed in room 204 and absolutely loved it! We made the most of our time away despite the rainy weather. The furniture was in great shape, rooms were clean. We had every utensil needed for eating and cooking. The basic kitchen needs were available, i.e. paper towel, dish washer soap, etc-thats a plus! Overall, I really loved the room we had, it had an island beach theme. The only thing I have to complain about is the construction noise that took place almost all day but that just means they are working on getting rooms updated or fixed. When we plan on going back to Port A, Sandcastle will definitely be a choice to stay unless we rent an actual beach house!

    This place was dope, super dope. Clean rooms that have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Balcony view was great. Short walk across the dunes to the beach. The pool and hot tubs looked nice but we didnt use them. Also they have a wash station to wash the sand off before you head back into the room witch was nice. This place is close to everything you will need while in port A. We will definitely be back.

    We were really disappointed last time we saw Sandcastle. It suffered a lot of damage after Harvey but its back better than before. We rented unit 307 and had a great weekend. Unit was clean, well-furnished and quiet. Totally enjoyed the stay. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Nice place to stay, the condo was very clean and neat everything inside work very well, great kitchen,spacious livingroom, nice balcony, although the bed little hard on my opinion, Great facility and very cool outdoor pool and hottubs with life music to enjoy, fantastic staff and great service.     Price was very good since I went in November and it was off-season. Off-season is very different than on season. Tell entire island seems to be better in my opinion since there arent as many tourist/guest. Ive stayed here before so the rooms were normal to me. It isnt 5 star quality however isnt 1 star neither. I would say I like this place.

    Me and my family come here every summer a week before July its a great place with nice rooms nice ocean views and a big pool.For us we stay in 233 and 238 (single deluxes)one of us sleep on the couch and the other two sleep in the bed since theres three of us in total.Overall we really enjoy the place and the short walking distance to the beach

    The location is great! Just a short walk to the beach, and if salt water isnt your thing then hit up the phenomenal pool! The facility is very clean and the staff is helpful. I didnt use the fitness center, but at a glance it has the basics. Id recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to experience a Port Aransas vacation.

    Good: Beach is in walking distance, decently spaceous, lovely aesthetics. Neutral: Slightly obsolete entertainment options--only a DVD player, older flat-screen TVs. Pool wasnt heated. Bad: Some minor maintenance issues popped up, and the futon is way too firm. Overall, a pleasant place to stay and very conveniently placed.

    My wife stayed there 30 years ago with her Mom, before my daughter was born we stayed, and we came back 11 years later with our daughter. First, the condition of the pool was excellent. I observed each morning maintenance was cleaning it. We extended our stay week of July 4th and front desk accommodated us by giving us a room on the same floor. All but one front desk worker demonstrated excellent customer service. Yes, some individual rooms need updating but we pretty much just used our room to sleep. The location of condo on island is very convenient.

    What a great place! Unit 318 is an wonderful one bedroom with floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows that look out on the pool and the ocean. You definitely know you are at the beach. Condo has short boardwalk to beach, large lagoon pool and two hot tubs. We really like it because it is just blocks from the middle of town. Very relaxing and comfortable. Will choose this unit again, especially with its in room washer dryer!

    The rooms are all beautiful and uniquely decorated. The pool is big and there are lots of chairs. The boardwalk to the beach makes walking to the water a whole lot easier. Theres plenty of parking and a fish cleaning house.

    We have had an awesome time here. The room was clean and actually very big! We had a 1 bedroom. Our patio on the 2nd floor was a beach view it was very relaxing. Beach only about 200 feet away. There is a boardwalk from the resort to the beach or walk around like we did and seems quicker lol we have enjoyed our stay so far.we still have 2 days left! The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like to see is more free weights. The fitness room is small but big enough for 2 treadmills, eliptical, 2 bikes, sitting bike and a universal weight lifting maqching. This machine is actually pretty neat you can workout all areas of your body. Sorry Im a workout type person. You will surely enjoy your stay!

    My wife and I came the middle of Sept. It was our 40th anniversary. We love 337, it looked like they had none work in there. We go every year love,love, it. As for the pool ID, I like, it keeps people out that dont pay & I feel safe there. Wish I had the money to come every three months. Cant wait until next year. JUST BEAUTIFUL !

    As a former Condo Owner in Port Aransas, I know what makes a great rental and Sandcastle is indeed great. I cant imagine that that any short term rental facility has come back from Harvey better than Sandcastle. Its truly a Resort.We were owners at another complex for 40+ years and this was our first time as renters. Wife and I stayed all of January in Condo 533, a 1 BR withGreat layout, monster screen TV, King Bed, great kitchen and great view. Maybe the best part is a very comfortable and nap-able Sectional sofa. (A Big plus).The view of the beach is outstanding.The other pluses: The hot tubsStayed open in the winter; The Sandcastle staff was outstanding and the maintenance crew were doing something everyday to make it even better (hard workers). Highly recommend Sandcastle and 533 if youre needing a 1BR.
