I stayed on the ranch per the suggestion of a friend of the owners. I had a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful experience with the land, duck, ponds, river across the road and easy access to my events. My 1 bedroom cabin was adorable, clean and very comfortable. Right in the heart of the hill country, I couldnt ask for anything better. I would definitely recommend and return for another stay.

Love this place so much! My family has been coming to Roddy Tree for about 20 years now. I have booked one or two cabins at a time for a small family getaway or a church retreat. We have also booked the entire ranch for the weekend for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and absolutely well maintained. Property owners/managers are always quick to respond with any needs that we might have in a friendly and professional way. You can swim in one of two pools, game room, play sand volleyball, disk golf, go for long walks on trails, fish at the stocked pond, canoe/float the river, or just hang out and have a drink at the outdoor bar listening to live music at the Lazy Canteen bar/pavillian while the kids run around in a safe environment catching fireflies or playing basketball. I have never had a problem with any of the house being dirty on arrival and kitchen/bathrooms are all fully stocked with pretty much everything that you needs. I cant recommend this place enough. My family looks forward to our Roddy Tree vacation ever summer. They can fill up quickly so book yours sooner rather than later!

I absolutely love this place. It has been the favorite place that my Grandkids chose for a Summer trip. The houses we have stayed at are excellent, well kept, well stocked, and very comfortable. We have been several times throughout the years. You will not be disappointed. The Ashburys are the fantastic hosts, they will do everything possible to make you stay the best.

Was looking for an authentic Texas experience for my kids coming to visit us for the first time and this was excellent! Due to the pandemic they had postponed and then the cabin we chose was occupied so they upgraded them to the Pecan Springs Farm and it was so spacious and beautiful! What an awesome experience for them. Will definitely be back!!

We had an excellent time at Roddy Tree! Our kids loved exploring the property, fishing, playing horseshoes, and so much more! The staff is great, and they are so accommodating! You can have a wonderful, relaxing time on the property, or you can venture out and explore different attractions in the area. Its a great place to stay to sit back and relax, and it would also be great for retreats. We will definitely be back many, many times! Oh, and if you ever get a chance to hear the owners sons band, youre in for a real treat! James Keith and the Moondogs put on an excellent show at the Lazy Days Canteen right there on the premises. Weve been going for years. During the regular season its nice because there is both the pool and then lake access. There is a fishing pond, albeit with lots of snakes, but the fishing pond has fish that bite and can be fun for the kids. The pool is for those who maybe more squeamish of the river and snakes, but still really nice.In the office season it was really nice as well, just that some of the options maybe more limited. Lots of ducks to still play with, who enjoy being fed.There are a few houses on the property where people live year round, so it sometimes is a bit weird, kind of getting a sense of who maybe vacationing and who lives there. We did have some difficulty finding our location at night because of how dark it was and now being familiar with the lay of the land.I would double check wifi access. Although the website says that it is there, we were in a cabin/house that did not have it, so had to go and use the rec room/community building, sometimes late at night, because we were left without other options.

This place was a wonderful surprise! I had to quickly plan a very last minute stay in the Kerrville/Ingram/Hunt area and it seemed cabins and cabin communities were more prominent than traditional hotels. I chose Roddy based purely on the photos from their website and the fact they had WiFi since I would be working while I was there. Btw the internet worked great. Id never stayed in a cabin before and wasnt sure what to expect but was blown away, with the kitchen specifically. It had everything you could imagine youd ever need, including a pizza slicer! All we had to do was take food and drink, the rest was already there. We enjoyed the pools a couple of times (the one closer to the office was our favorite), but unfortunately that was all we had time for in terms of fun. My family plans to go back in the near future for an actual vacation so that we can enjoy more than just the comfy cabin. On that note we stayed in the Roost cabin and it was very tidy and a great amount of space for three people. Honestly, when we were leaving I saw online that there was a cabin still available for the weekend and highly considered booking and just moving our bags over, we just didnt want to leave! I dont know if all communities like this are as great but this definitely was a super experience I want to do again.

I love the homey-ness of the building, we were in the gardening shed. I loved it was close to everything but out of the way just enough and the views in the morning were great- I also loved the soap! I would have like a little more privacy with window coverings and coffee. we were there in November so the place wasnt very active and had this feeling of being forgotten- maybe spruce up some of the areas.

I went yesterday afternoon to their Crawfish boil/Carnival event with live bands. The music was nice, weather was warm but not too hot, the crawfish werent too expensive of $15 a plate with boiled corn and red potatoes and tasted pretty good not spicy.

Great Location to bring family and relax. The grounds have amenities so you dont have to leave as long as you have food you can bbq or cook ya own meals. Enjoying the wildlife and chilling by the pool or pond with the ducks you have a blast feeding. Can kayak also through the tunnel. We will be ba k there is about a 30min drive to Fredericksburg.

This venue is so much more than what I expected! So quaint and cozy! Service was very friendly, polite and fast! Quiet, peaceful and magical! If you are looking for a perfect country getaway to enjoy and connect with nature...this is the place to go to!

We are the only guests this period. It seems there are other permanent owner/residents much like a condo complex. We were upgraded to the Wildflower cottage.Lesson 1. Dont feed the ducks or theyll pester you forever. and they poop on the porch. On the other hand, theres sugar to make bird water to fill the hummingbird feeder.This cabin is very well outfitted. The fridge was cold and the icemaker full when we arrived and the AC was on. Comes with Dish, DVD player.The pool with spa tub is immediately proximate with numerous chaise and other chairs and tables under pergolas.Weve been coming to the area at this time for several years and well seriously consider this next August.

This gem of a Hill Country resort has beautiful views, a nice variety of cabins, pools, river access, and a fun venue where you might be able to catch some great tunes depending on the day. Stay up late and enjoy the stars following a vibrant sunset.

Quiet and you can see the stars at night. This is our layover for a month until or house is ready. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The accommodations are suitable for our needs and we can relax in the middle of our move.A much better choice than a hotel or binning with relatives.

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. It was very clean. Nice size. Beds were comfortable. Only a small fridge and microwave but that was fine. No cable. They do provide a DVD player and they have a huge selection of dvds to choose from. No Wi-Fi and data is very limited in the area. The river access was really nice. Staff was very friendly.

Its an experience you have to try atleast Once, Twice, Well lol okay ...Youll keep going back to be honest 💯👌.If you can appreciate the outdoors and all Its beauty, this is certainly the place to stay .A Love Story at every turn and well I wont spoil the surprise!!Come on down and experience it for yourself or bring your friends, family reunions would be perfect!!So much space!! One of the best places to stay in the Hill Country! It is our home away from home. The cabins fit groups from 2-16 people and are rustic and charming. A really great venue for family reunions or weddings!

This place!! We take every opportunity to go. Great place for my son to explore and bring his friends to experience the outdoors. Pools, River, Fishing and Live Entertainment! This is a young boys paradise. The disc golf course is a new addition. Fun for kids and adults! We love RL’s Wrangler! 2 king size beds spacious rooms plenty of space to bring in a roll away bed or blowup mattress to sleep extra guest. DirecTV (great for a hot afternoon break)Love RTR!

Love the Lazy Days Canteen. Great for music, and they usually have good, large homemade plates of BBQ or catfish for cheap. I wish they had a full bar, but the prices are also reasonable. Ice house feel.

Spent Spring Break weekend up here and it was great. We rented Corbells Cabin, affordable, cozy, and relaxing. The guy in charge in the office was very helpful and polite. I cant wait to come back.

Set in Texas Hill country individual cabins of different sizes and styles are available for multi night booking. Within walking distance to the cool Guad. river but also available two nicely sized cement ponds for those that prefer something a bit more civilized. Definitely a place to stop the computer work put away the cell phone and get you mind a bit more at peace. Great for rest and relaxation buy isnt so far from first world pleasures that Kerrville or Fredricksburg can offer (hospitals, starbucks, malls, etc).

Location was awesome, property has two pools (during summer) be fabulous. Even though we did get in … we watched the stars super serene always from all city noise. Close to Kerrville and Fredricksburg. It had everything we needed to recharged. Access to dam we went canoeing and had a blast. Come and take a look. We will return again.
