We come here every year or every other year..it had become a tradition and we are always looking forward to this trip. The cabins are comfortable and very nice (fully stocked). The grounds are beautiful and spacious. The river is amazing. You can rent kayaks or take your own. We love this place!

Third time to stay here…most beautiful point on the river. The cabins are well equipped for relaxing, sleeping, cooking... The views from the windows and balcony are amazing. Kayaks, tubes, firewood, ice…all available on site. Beautiful Baylee, the property’s cat adopted us this weekend and bonded with my 9-yr old daughter. Close to town for groceries and restaurants. The grocery selections for a small town are pretty impressive. The restaurants in Leakey are impressive for a small town and get better every time (new, modern, upscale but standard reliable hole-in-the-wall too). Be sure to check open hours for the time of year before you go. Great place to relax & reset. Our happy place…

We did not stay here but walked around. I would definitely consider staying here, though. Beautiful facility. Nice accommodations for various sized groups. We didnt get to look inside the rentals, so I cant make a rating on the rooms. Right on the Frio River. There are plenty of kayaks, paddleboards, and tubes for summer fun. Management is very friendly and accommodating. They are worth checking out for a great stay on the river.

We loved staying at the Rio Bella Resort! The cabins were beautiful, modern and clean. Its in a great location right by the river so you can spend all day swimming, kayaking and tubing.The little town Leakey is nearby were you can buy everthing you need during your stay and it has a few restaurants.

We have been staying at Rio Bella Resort since 2016. The cabins are always very clean. The view of the river from the porch is great. The staff at Rio Bella are very friendly. They are always accommodating and making sure we enjoy our stay. They are great on communicating with you to make sure you are enjoying your stay. We have stayed at several places on the river. Rio Bella is definitely my favorite. Cabins are beautiful and I love drinking my morning coffee seeing the river.

My husband and I very much enjoyed a weekend stay at the Rio Bella Resort. Our cabin was beautifully designed and decorated and provided us with beautiful views and sounds of the Frio River. The public areas which included lawn chairs on the grassy banks of the river and swings with a view of the river were great places to relax outside of our cabin. Management was friendly and responsive. Location is great for spending time at Garner State Park and having meals in Leakey. Will recommend this place to all of my friends for a great weekend getaway!

This was our second trip to Rio Bella. We enjoy the quiet and peaceful nature of the time we spend there. It was a good three day getaway to decompress. Even Bailey the famous Rio Bella cat wanted to hang around but Im sure shes like that with all guests. Looking forward to our next visit.

We are a recurring visitor to the Rio Bella Resort, when something works it works and this place works for us every time we spend our time in one of their great cabins perched on a hill overlooking the Frio River. Booking a weekend at Rio Bella is now a family tradition for us. Enjoy the hill country drive to the resort, friendly staff, comfortable and clean accommodations, beautifully landscaped on the banks of the Frio River. And, always nice to see Bailee the cat each visit!

Had a great 2 night stat with our family of 5. The place is beautiful and right on the Frio River. Its easy to get to and would be a wonderful spot for a big family reunion. Good space for cooking both indoors and out.One note - be sure and bring your own shampoo and soap.

We stayed at the River Haven Cabins and had a wonderful stay. The staff was there to great us and they were really helpful and answered all our questions. They gave us information on management expectations which were easy to follow. I will be going back next year to ride my motorcycle on the 3 Sisters.

We just got back from our second visit to Rio Bella Resort, and it felt like coming home. Staying in the Blanco Cabin again was a dream – the place is just so beautiful and well-maintained, right by the Frio River. Celebrating our anniversary here was the perfect choice. Ana Lisa and Rob were amazing; they really made our stay comfortable and fun, especially with the kayaks. Its great being so close to Garner State Park, and we absolutely loved Leakey Drug Coffee and Wine Bar nearby. Big thanks for another special weekend. Oh, and Baylee, the resort cat, is the sweetest – definitely the cherry on top of a fantastic stay!

This place is amazing. We just had a very large family reunion here and the accomodations were excellent. The owners and staff are very accommodating. My family and I have been going to Rio Bella since the very first summer they opened. It is truly more like a resort than a place to go “camping” or even “glamping,” as some may say. My daughter graduated from high school in May, and instead of going to Cabo with her classmates and parents, she wanted me to bring her and her four best friends to Rio Bella — so much so that she was willing to risk not going anywhere while waiting for a last-minute cancellation. She was ecstatic when I told her something came available and we were going to get to go for four nights. It was a very special time for the girls and me!

This was our first time to the resort and it was absolutely amazing! The river was beautiful and we fell in Love! I had so many friends/family asking for the resort details from my pictures! Ana Lisa was super helpful and sweet! She made sure our stay was great! Rio bella is secluded, spacious, and so relaxing! The cabin had everything we needed and more! The cabin we stayed in had an amazing view of the river, as do the rest of the cabins and my boys loved it. I didnt mind the clean up one bit, a place that beautiful deserves to be kept clean!! We just returned from our wonderful three night stay at Rio Bella and are already dreaming of the next time we can visit. It was the perfect, relaxing getaway for our small family. Great from the moment we got there. The water is beautiful and the perfect depth for all ages to enjoy! The cabin had everything you needed. Property very well kept and manicured. Trust me, they have thought of everything! The kids also enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores, tetherball, corn hole, hammocks . The staff and owner are so nice, you can really tell they care about your stay at Rio Bella.Absolutely coming back for more!!

Great stay for us and our three kids at Rio Bella over the Labor Day weekend. Our usual extended weekend trips include us getting out to see local sites, but the cabins, river, and grounds are so nice here we had a first - show up in the evening and not leave the grounds until 3 days later. Everything is very well maintained and the cabins well provisioned. Their river stretch had the perfect mix of float/swim dam section and flowing lower section for kid tubing and exploring. Will be back.

My family always takes a yearly trip to Garner State Park we have stayed in other rental properties but this year we stayed at Rio Bella let me tell you nothing compares to Rio Bella from the amazing views, the clean cabins and the wonderful staff. I’ve come to the Frio every year with my family since I was a toddler. I’ve stayed at may different places and this was my favorite place so far. The resort was really beautiful, the people were friendly, and the staff were kind and helpful. I enjoyed the privacy and the relaxation. The river behind the cabins was convenient and so awesome! The cabins are well kept and absolutely beautiful. I was there all last week and got engaged to my fiancé Wednesday night. We are planning to come back for our wedding.

I can’t say enough nice things about this place. Our stay was fantastic. Our cabin was clean, staff was friendly, and the grounds were stunning. We would highly recommend anyone to visit, especially small families as even the smaller size cabins have lots of private space with the bedroom and loft. The grassy area with hammocks was great plus the rocky area below the waterfall. Rentals and snacks are available onsite. We didn’t even make it to Garner because the resort was so nice. The only downside is they expect you to clean the place, take off bedding & pack out all garbage etc which we thought was a bit much for a resort. Still.. it’s wonderful.

I stayed at the Rio Bella Llano cabin in late October 2018. Excellent place. I had 2 kids, 3 and 4 yrs with me. The Llano cabin had two levels. My kids occupied the loft, I had to stay at the first level. I could not sleep comfortably while sharing a queen bed with my kids. Therefore I had to run stairs back and forth to make sure my kids were doing ok overnight. This was the only inconvenience. Everything else was superb. The cabin was super clean and nice. Location is fantastic, just above the river. The balcony was our favorite place to eat. The views are outstanding. My kids really enjoyed the area - there is enough space to walk and play around the Rio Bella, in addition, the Garner state park was just 10 mins drive. Perfect vacation spot. Highly recommended.

We just returned from 5 nights at Rio Bella and we all had an amazing time. Our cabin was clean, just the right size, and the balcony looking down over the water was a great place to hang out. The property is well maintained and the section of river theyre on is quiet and never crowded. Definitely would like to come and spend some more time relaxing here.

We recently visited the Concan area for the fall foliage, and had a pleasant stay at the Rio Bella Resort. This resort is a hidden gem in the hill country: friendly and helpful staff, modern and cozy cabins with beautiful views, and convenient location to nearby Garner State park and Lost Maples Nature. This was our first trip to the area, and will definitely come back and stay at the resort. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

First time visitor. I was first met by AnaLise at check in. AnaLise was one the owners apart from family. Super nice people and were able to accommodate just about anything needed. Great staff and service. I stayed in the Nueces cabin. This cabin had its own parking spot. When I entered the cabin it smelled fresh and clean and everything was nice and neat. It had two rooms that we hardly stayed in due to having fun on the river all day. I had some family rent a cabin five down from us and that place was bigger and just as awesome. People around were super friendly and easy to talk to. You can fish, float the river, bbq, kayak all in the resort. Really no need to leave unless needing to restock on items that you have ran out of. Very kid friendly. If you plan on making a trip to the Rio Bella Resort, I highly suggest on getting the cabin for at least 6 days and enjoy the peace they have to offer. A place to make memories with family!

This is our fourth year to spend 5 glorious nights at Rio Bella, 3 generations of our family together in the Rio Grande House. Rio Bella is more than simply accommodating. It is “The Frio State of Mind”, where you are made comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for. The grounds are not only spotless but charming. The home is clean, with a well supplied kitchen, ready for great family time. The location is the best spot on the river. We are already looking forward to next year! Moody/Parks family.

Rio Bella is the nicest place to stay on the Frio! Our cabin was so cozy, clean and beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. We stayed in the Trinity cabin. We had four adults and one toddler and had plenty of space. The air conditioning was kicking and made it perfect to come in and relax after spending a summer day out on the river. We loved the areas to hang out right outside of the cabins too. We made a fire, played games, and roasted marshmallows. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. They seriously have the perfect spot on the Frio river to swim and relax. I cant wait to go back!

We had a great time at Rio Bella on our girls weekend! It was so peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the Trinity cabin and it was perfect! My only small suggestion would be to have something other than tea for the keurig. The location was great if you want to explore Garner or Lost Maples and it’s just a few minutes to Leakey if you need anything. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Just got home from our second stay at Rio Bella Resort. This place is the best of the best!! Beautiful location with the best of both worlds because of the dam...Waist to chest deep calm water you can swim, kayak, and paddleboard on PLUS the other side of the dam with moving water that has shallow areas you can set your chair in and chill. The grounds are in pristine condition and the cabins are all brand new and beautifully decorated and clean. The owners are delightful and you feel like you are staying with old friends as they make you feel so welcome. They have tubes and other things you can rent, a cute gift shop, fire pits so you can make smores, volley ball, hammocks, etc. Books up fast so make your reservation ASAP!!

My wife and I made a last-minute decision to take a trip to the area this past weekend sure are glad we did. We stayed in the Trinity cabin and the view was amazing. The grill came in handy as we were able to enjoy a great steak and some wine while listening to the peaceful river below. Analisa provided written directions, which are helpful with the cell coverage in the area but Waze brings you right to the office. We will definitely be back.

We booked 3 cabins for a cycling weekend and were so pleased with the accommodations. The Cabins were clean and comfortable. The riverside location was perfect. It was so nice to be able to walk down and enjoy the river after a day of cycling. We also used the fire pit at night to make s’mores. This is now our “go to” place for trips to Leakey. Loved it. Wish there was a place to post some riverside pictures.

What a fantastic place! While attending the MotoGP race in Austin, we wanted to also ride the Hill Country of Texas on our bikes, so we trailered them out from Ohio. The folks at Rio Bella couldnt have been more accommodating. We had a couple of specific requests and they had no issue at all helping us out. We stayed in two different cabins there across two different weeks and both were spectacular. Sitting out on the private balcony, enjoying the sounds of nature and listening to the water run over the spillway on the river was very relaxing. We even got to watch as one of those famous Texas thunderstorms rolled in after dark. It was quite a light and sound show. Even though Rio Bella is far away from any major metro area, you still have all the comforts and connectivity of home, if you want to take advantage. Cell service (we use ATT), high speed internet, and Direct TV for entertainment. While maintaining a rustic feel, the cabins are well constructed and very comfortable in every way. We cannot recommend Rio Bella highly enough.

Outstanding! We just had the most wonderful weekend in Leakey and a big reason was our cabin and the Rio Bella Resort in general. These cabins are amazing - perfectly designed, beautifully constructed, immaculately maintained. DirectTV, wi-fi, powerful heat and AC, and all the kitchen stuff youd need for weeks of in-cabin cooking.The price is also amazing. If they were closer to any major city theyd cost twice as much. Lastly, the service from the owners is amazing - from the initial call to inquire and reserve, to checking in and making any minor adjustments to make sure everything is perfect.Weve stayed at other cabins in the area and there is simply no comparison. Rio Bella is like staying at the Ritz Carltons version of river front cabins, and at Motel 6 prices!

The combination of the overall natural setting next to the Frio and immediate proximity of the accommodations create a great experience. The water sports, dam, and ducks all add to the fun. Since I love to cook, a full kitchen and BBQ pit is very useful and cost effective in executing a creative menu for camping. Just about any family would love the stay here. Highest recommendation!

These are the best-looking and most luxurious cabins in the Leakey area. We stayed for two nights, and our experience was excellent. They are not so much cabins but high-quality small houses with great views of the Frio River through the large windows and the large patios. AnaLisa did everything to make our stay wonderful. This was our second year here with our family. Its beautiful and relaxing, waking up with a cup of coffee, sitting on our private deck overlooking the pristine Frio River. Enjoyed the paddle boards that are so conveniently leased on premises. The staff/owners were very nice and helpful. Absolutely love this place! Family owned and operated. They love their guests and treat them like family! This is a family atmosphere and they dont tolerate blackout drunken partiers or those looking for BS. Analisa, Rob and Carol are the best. Weve been going here every June for 6 years now and we have all but 2 cabins on the whole property the weekend we go.

Absolutely amazing! 🤗 We will be back when my husbands work allowed down and we can get away for a weekend. This is the perfect get away spot. Its so beautiful. Its the perfect distance from the city away from the traffic n hustle n bustle to relax but close enough incase you need things. Hammocks to relax in, chairs to sit in the river, lounge swings to relax in. I couldnt imagine any place more perfect!!!

Absolutely beautiful cabins! We stayed here the week before Thanksgiving and had the place to ourselves. That along with the river and wildlife made for a very peaceful and relaxing experience. We will definitely be back!

Rio Bella is a wonderful resort located on the best stretch of the Frio River. Three generations of our family had so much fun there and thought it was glamping at its finest. The cabin was awesome with a well supplied kitchen, comfy beds, and spacious bathrooms. The balcony was a perfect place to enjoy a meal or a cool beverage. Other perks include wagons to ease packing, floats and kayaks, shade and chairs in the river, hammocks, fire pits, and outdoor games. The cherry on the top was the super friendly and helpful onsite staff. This is something you dont get with most vacation rental services.

Awesome cabins and property. Very rustic, beautiful cabins right on the river with hammocks, chairs available on the property. They even have kayak and other boat rentals. Cabins are excellently designed with ample lighting and views of the river, woods, hills. There is even a sliding window/door for the 2nd floor loft bed area for nighttime peace and no light. Having tue Kurig/K-cup coffee maker is just awesome!!

The Rio Bella Resort is a relativity new (est. 2015). Its clearly a well a well planned designer influenced resort. Both the layout and the incorperation of the natural eco system mades this partcular resort stand above all others Ive seen in the Frio River area. In my opinion, the quarter mile area along the river is much more gorgeous than Garner State Parks Frio river dam area. I recommend this place for a beatiful Frio River ecperience.

💎This lil gem is definitely worth the trip! We wanted to escape from the city for fresh air, a lil nature and R&R, re: covid-19, 2020. Analisa was absolutely an amazing host! Their office has basic water supplies like aloe vera, water shoes, cute tees, sunglasses, waterproof phone cases, etc. (which we bought all of and more, ha!) The cabins are completely stocked with pretty much everything you need, including the bbq utensils! You do need to bring trash bags but I didn’t know and she was gracious enough to leave some out for us after hours. The entire grounds are very well maintained with on-site Kayak and Paddle boards to rent. River access is right there, multiple entrances. My son and his gf really got a kick out of the grounds cat, Baylee. I’m sure you’ll be greeted by her, too. ☺️ Note: we ended up grocery shopping at the HEB in Hondo, about an hr out. The town also has smaller and locally owned grocers that I would have loved to support! We will next time.All in all, we absolutely enjoyed our short stay at Rio Bella and will absolutely be returning, hopefully very soon!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
