Wow, what a gem! We stayed on a Saturday night in the Norwegian Wood cottage to celebrate my sons 13th birthday. We fished morning, noon, and night. Andy, our host and guide was fantastic! Friendly and put us right on the fish. He was kind and patient with the kids as well! My son and his friends caught bass, catfish, and perch, some within ten minutes of putting our hooks in the water! We grilled bratwurst and had candlelit birthday cake on the porch of the cottage. The boys all slept in the loft, which of course they thought was the coolest thing ever. We will definitely return to fish the pond and stay in the cottages!

Recent stay at the end of June. The property owners were very kind, responsive, and accommodating to our needs, really great people. I loved our little cabin, very clean, cold (it was hot weather so the extra AC was really nice), the bed was very comfy and it was an easy check in and out. I highly recommend!

Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Outcast Landing! This is a small and local gem. Highly recommend a visit with family or one! Thank you to Andy and Reagan!

Our stay here was amazing! Most places we stay do not have cleaning supplies…or even enough toilet paper but everything was fully stocked here and decorated super cute! I highly recommend fishing in the back pond…it is catch and release only but we had so much fun! They also have live bait you can buy while you stay. The owners communicated very well and their little cabins were extremely clean and well kept. They are also dog friendly and have dog runs beside your cabin which is a major plus! We will definitely be back with the kiddos to fish soon!

This place is Awesome! We had the best time staying in the blackbird cabin it was nice comfortable and very clean. They have everything you need in the kitchen. All you need to bring is food and your clothes. Short walk to the pond and we caught so many fish. Andy and his wife are always available and helped with anything we needed. Our 2 boys had a blast just running around and loved fishing all day. This place will not disappoint it’s so worth it. We will be back for sure.

We visited Outcast Landing this past weekend and it was very rainy and cold but the owners made it a great experience! They were very accommodating, extremely nice and made you feel very welcome. The cottages were very clean and fully stocked. I would recommend anyone with or without children to visit this place. Thank you Andy & Reagan!

Penny Lane was an amazing place to stay for two! Cozy, clean, quiet and, with the backroads to Austin and Bastrop, we avoided all traffic backups! Amenities included bed linens, towels and washcloths, hand towels, shampoo, body wash, coffee, coffee filters, and creamer. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to make breakfast in the morning. Randy is super friendly and gave us great dinner recommendations. We will definitely be back next year!

My husband and I decided to have a honeymoon weekend at Moto GP at COTA and chose Outcast Landing so we could be more comfortable than we were at a hotel last year for Moto GP. Our son was with us as honeymooning with your kid is sometimes a hilarious necessity. Our stay was wonderful! Andy gave my husband and 7yo son fishing tips and our kiddo caught his first fish ever plus a few more.🤩 I caught my first fish in 29 years, yay. The races were awesome and our stay was excellent. I highly recommend this lodging option as it is far more comfortable and clean than many hotels and your hosts are frie days and helpful.

What an amazing place, had a terrific visit! Perfect location, not too far from downtown Austin, yet still in the country. Loved fishing with the kids, my son caught his first fish and we’ll have that memory. The hosts, Andy and Ragan, are the best and answered every question and had all sorts of good suggestions. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed at Penny Lane and it was beautiful! The rooms were super clean and had a full kitchen with refrigerator as well as complimentary farm fresh eggs! I loved this place and did not want to leave!

My wife and I stayed at Outcast Landing near Bastrop and HAD A BLAST! If you like catch-release fishing and/or you want to stay in a posh little camper or cabin overnight, this is the place for you - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We stayed in the Roadrunner RV, and it was posh, clean, and COLD (2 A/C units)!
