We stayed a weekend at the Caddo Cabin, which accommodates 2-4 people. It was perfect; and I thought the price was extremely affordable! The screened in porch was my favorite, alongside the included access to the kayaks and canoes. I could spend all day on the water! The owners really make you feel at home, stocking whatever you may need, including ice, condiments, extra blankets, and books, to name a few. There’s a fire pit area and grill provided too. We had a curious/hungry lil raccoon come visit us by the fire one night! It’s a self-check-in and check-out cabin, which is super simple. Located a short walk from the water and by a not too busy road. The cell service is pretty spotty, but that’s the only “complaint” I can think of. The Caddo and Slough View cabins are relatively close to each other, but there’s enough privacy. I can see why they have many repeat visitors! Thanks for the memories!

Had an excellent stay at the Slough View Cabin. The cabin is a bit bigger than a hotel suite and most of the basic amenities are provided for to make the stay easy and comfortable. The whole place was clean including the bed and bathroom. Location wise, it was very close to the Riverbend and Shady Glade cafe as well as a grocer. Short distance to boat launches was also nice and having canoes and kayaks was great since most were rented out the holiday weekend. Would definitely stay here again!

I probably dont have enough room to say how much I LOVED staying at the Moon Beam Cottage, but it was absolutely perfect! Our hostess just really has the gift of hospitality! The screened porch was probably our favorite place to hang out, but it was a close tie with the dock overlooking the bayou or the personal courtyard. This was just one of 3 great lodging options, depending on your purpose. I would recommend Beverly and her properties to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with easy access to Caddo Lake!

We’ve stayed at Moonglow Lodge several times and in all three properties. Unless we are Caddo camping, we never stay with anyone else. Beverly is a fantastic person and we love the quirky decor and lake access (and free canoes!). Each comfortable cabin features just everything you need for a relaxing get away (television, dvds, cds & player, kitchen supplies, coffee, games, reading material, etc.). It seems every detail has been perfectly thought out. Also save on boarding since all properties are dog friendly! Here are some things we’ve learned about each property:Moonbeam: Great for couples wanting a hot tub. Has a Murphy bed which is pretty unique. Cute garden patio, however no private fire pit.Moonshine Cabin: The most private of all the cabins, but furthest from the water. Has a fire pit, hammock, full kitchen, washer & dryer and two screened in porches.Moonglow: The largest of all the cabins. Has huge screened in porch with hammock , two toilets, full kitchen, and a wonderful fire pit area with the adorable blue, 1950’s style chairs. This is the closest cabin to the water and has several sleeping areas. The dock is quiet and feels private. We’ve caught huge catfish on the dock with worms. Grocery store, Johnson’s Ranch and all of Taylor Island is within reasonable walking distance. Every time we’re here I never want to leave. Truly my happy place.

We enjoyed two nights at the Caddo Cabin. The location is almost spittin distance from the lake, and in a quiet part of Uncertain. The occasional car didnt bother the symphony of natural wildlife sounds. The cabin itself feels new, and despite being advertised as small is plenty for two people. The dual porch arrangement (screened and unscreened) worked well. The kitchenette is well stocked with pots and pans, and the joint living room is tastefully decorated. King bed was very comfortable, and A/C & heat worked just fine. Wifi worked fine for checking email but is just a DSL so dont plan on streaming videos (you are here to get away, after all!) Our only disappointment was that the lake was flooding due to the recent heavy rains, so we didnt have a chance to use the complimentary canoes. The owners were kind enough to email us a few days in advance with an opportunity to cancel our reservation, but Im glad we declined! We really want to come back at some point in the future and get out on the water, and we will certainly stay here again.

The cabin was lovely and very clean. There were unexpected amenities provided and our stay was very comfortable. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be coming back.

  • Review 7 (2018-08-02 - Rating: 5)

We loved the cabin, it was clean and provided everything we needed except food. They provide a golf cart, bicycles, canoes and kayaks for exploring. Sitting outside at night you will see deer, owls and hear so many nature sounds. This is a beautiful place to visit and we highly recommend Caddo Cabin.

Although looks old outside, its not bad inside. Owner is an artist. The decorations inside and out are really beautiful. Easy access to lake with free access to kayak or canoe on multiple decks.

This is a beautifully kept Classic Caddo Cabin full of history and charm. The neighborhood has an eclectic charm full of art and sculptures. The cabin itself has an inviting screened wrap around porch with plenty of areas to sit play games and visit. Equipped with a set of bunkbeds and hammock on the screened porch perfect for napping in natural lake air. When you walk in, there is a inviting living room with wood fireplace and you can feel the charm and history right away. Hardwood floors throughout. Decor has so much charm many blasts from the past. There is 2 bedrooms one with 2 twin beds and one with a king bed. There is a half bath and a full bath with shower (no tub) although bathrooms are side by side they are well placed and add to the charm of this cabin. There is a bonus room with 2 more twin beds this is a walk through room no doors for privacy but in vacation mode adds extra sleeping area to add to your memorable stay. Finally the kitchen and dining area with a table that easily sits 8 and a fully equipped kitchen. Bring the groceries and you never have to leave this peaceful place while you are there. The lake is short walk down a quaint path with a pier that has two levels one built higher in the tree for a better viewing place equipped with 4 chairs and a table. The lower pier makes for a good fishing spot or photographers dream. Walking around the neighborhood you will see so many delightful sculptures including several Volkswagen bugs adorned each with a different theme. If you like history and true Caddo charm over new construction or cookie cutter lodging this is the place for you.

Sweetie and went over a three day Thanksgiving Weekend. The cabin is really cute, great drive up appeal. It’s bigger than it looks. The interior is country cuteness with lots of adorable touches. There is a very subtle theme of doors and door knobs that I really liked. The place was spotless. Nice new towels, comfortable bathroom. We both noticed how good the TP was, it’s usually awful in septic tank systems. The linens were suitable, there was a beautiful old quilt, hand embroidered. I loved imagining how many had slept under it over the decades. The views are spectacular. The screened in porch that faces the woods is amazing. The scenery changes slowly through the day. When you want to feel like a true tourist, jump on their electric frog, some call a “golf cart”. Ride it down to the Shady Glade for breakfast. The owners were very easy to deal with. They answered all my questions and responded quickly to an easy issue. We never met them in person and that’s fine by us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Caddo Cabin!!! The cabin was clean & furnished with all necessities. We enjoyed grilling, riding the golf cart through the area, a drive to Jefferson, coffee on the porch, and the peace and quiet. Our two grandkids had a blast!! We will be back!

  • Review 13 (2018-05-19 - Rating: 5)

This was the perfect place to spend an anniversary trip. My husband and I love Caddo Lake and had been before, but our last cabin didnt have any access to the lake. I dont think we will ever stay at any other cabin again. The sitting area on the lake was just stunning and the cabin itself was cozy the front garden looked and smelled heavenly

  • Review 14 (2021-02-05 - Rating: 5)

This is a great place to get away from everything. Cabin was comfortable and clean. We did not plan well so had to go into town for most meals since all places to eat are mainly Fri thru Sun. It was too cold to take advantage of the canoe or kayak but riding around on the golf cart was fun. Definately want to come back when it gets warmer. Big foot was a no show but maybe he stayed indoors too. 😉

  • Review 15 (2021-05-07 - Rating: 5)

Caddo Cabin was everything we hoped it would be and more! Not only extremely comfortable and clean, with absolutely everything we could need, it’s the perfect home base for exploring Caddo Lake. We were just a few minutes from our boat guide, Caddo Lake State Park, the nature reserve, and a couple of wonderful little restaurants. In a walk through the neighborhood, we met Stoney who directed us to various points of interest, including whimsical works of art, and a wonderful dock with amazing views. Stoney also invited us to enjoy a walkway he built through the wetlands by the slough. Everything about our visit to Caddo Cabin was wonderful, and we hope to come back soon!

  • Review 16 (2017-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Patti and Jay Webb have several properties where people can come stay while visiting Caddo Lake. I stayed at Caddo Cabin, which was in a prime location, close to Caddo Lake, a walk away from Taylor Island. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious- more than enough room for 2 people, and very well maintained. We came at a cold time, and the heat worked so well, I was shocked when I went outside to find it was 25 degrees!!They offered complimentary use of their canoes and kayaks, of which we gladly took advantage. They live close by, and Patti was quick to respond when we had a question about billing and had to change how we were paying. I loved this place and their hospitality. I will definitely be coming back!

  • Review 17 (2016-12-29 - Rating: 4)

My wife and I stayed here on Christmas Eve 2016 we were supposed to stay Christmas night as well, but I decided to go back home. There were a few things that I expected to be better that were in the owners control and a few things that were not in the owners control. As for the environment, It was peaceful, the cabin was clean , and over all it was the perfect little escape for two and the screened in porch and fire pit were highlights of my stay . Disappointments that were not in the owners control: The furniture was very hard to get comfortable on for me. the bed was too firm and the couch (being a sleeper sofa) had a sag in the middle and hard edges. Overall I could not find a comfortable place to sit or sleep I do not fault the owners because thats the nature of a commercial mattress and sleeper sofa. Disappointments that were in the owners control: There was no way of cleaning the grill. There was an old grill brush there but there was absolutely no bristles left and it was a flat piece of plastic. The grill was not clean and it was not ready for use. Also, when I was cleaning the ashes out of the grill it was very apparent that the catch for the ashes was almost completely rotted away and it made it difficult to get the grill ready for use. Just as I expect a clean cabin, since the grill and the gas cook top are the only way to cook besides the microwave, I expect a clean grill. My wife and I wanted to watch our traditional Christmas movies there, but the DVD player would not work. They obviously know there is a problem with the remote because they have taped the battery cover on. but try as I might, the player would not work. So, we decided to play trivial pursuit (a game provided at the cabin) instead only to find that one section of the board is completely missing and the parts that are there are ratty and tattered being held together again with tape. There are gaps around the fire pit on the bottom, which isnt a big deal, a fire has to breath, but this being fall, there was nothing there for me to rake leaves away from the fire pit to protect from starting a fire. I basically had to kick the leaves away and spent the rest of the night playing smokey bear keeping watch into the wee hours . So, about mid day Christmas day after finding out that the DVD didnt work, the game was tattered and incomplete, and that I would not get comfortable, I sent an email to the owners (Didnt Call cause it was Christmas and they deserve a day off too) letting them know that I would be vacating early. That was 4 days ago and I havent heard a word back from them asking if everything was alright or if there was a reason for my early departure. I gave 4 stars because I think for the most part that the cabin is a great getaway for a couple, and if you come prepared for the disappointments, then there wont be any. Also, bring foil and plastic wrap if you need them. They have you covered on almost everything else.(added after owners response) when you say you made contact with us on the porch, you make it sound like you came over and introduced yourself as the owners of the property. My wife and I were outside on the porch, a nice couple walk by and said Merry Christmas and also something about snow in Nebraska. If that was the two of you, how on Earth am I supposed to know that you were the owners of the cabin? How on Earth am I supposed to know then Im supposed to tell you whats wrong with the cabin? Saying that you made contact with us and I should have told you that then is a bit disingenuous. Again I liked your cabin and Im not giving it a bad review, Im just telling people to be prepared for the little details that you guys neglected. Quite frankly, I shouldnt have to ask for the grill to be cleaned, just as you mop the floor every time you clean the cabin, the grill should be cleaned. Or at least thats my opinion

We stayed in the Caddo cabin a couple of weekends ago. Our goal for the weekend was to have only relaxation. We didnt plan any outings except for Sonic Ice cream in Jefferson and RiverBend restaurant on Caddo Lake (excellent seafood and environment). The facilities were great and more than adequate for what we needed. I cant think of anything lacking. We always take a few essentials like ziplocs, foil, firewood, cling wrap, etc. because we like to stay in this type camp and the supplies vary so best to be prepared. As a plus, Caddo cabin was perhaps the best supplied place we have stayed. We took the bikes on a trip on several roads out of the camp and viewed the countryside. The road is paved, and the traffic flow was light. We went to the dock where the canoes are, but just visited the area. We didnt canoe at that time. We watched DVDs and TV, made campfires, and cooked out. We slept in and went to bed late. It was a perfect 4 days for relaxation. Part of relaxation is the mind set you take with you. We didnt get good phone reception at the lake, but we just informed everyone when we could get through. It was an excuse to go into Jefferson for ice cream to send an email to everyone we were not getting good phone reception. Take a vacation attitude with you on vacation!

Fantastic cabin. We stayed 3 nights and felt right at home. It was super clean and had everything we needed, except food. There were a few packs of snacks, coffee, tea, creamers and sugar. There was a mid-size fridge, toaster, coffee maker and bean grinder. There was a nice size table and an assortment of games. The tv had DirecTv and there was a fast internet connection. There was a king size bed that was extremely comfortable. We spent most of our time on the furnished screened in porch. It was so peaceful and the crickets and owls were right there. It was a short drive to the State Park, Swamp Thing boat tour, the wildlife refuge and a small choice in restaurants. Although we didnt meet the owners, we did visit online and once on the phone, they were extremely friendly and helpful. The residents of Uncertain were all welcoming and ready to share their knowledge of beautiful Caddo Lake. We plan to visit again.

    Caddo Cabins

  • Review 47 (2020-02-22 - Rating: 5)

Caddo lake Cabins enchanted us. We stayed 2 nights in the smallest cabin. Everything was practical, the kitchen very well equipped, the bathroom large with shower, a good very large bed and a very pleasant living room area. Our hosts welcomed us very kindly, offering us soup, bread and crackers because the restaurant and the grocery store were closed! The canoes are a 5 minute leisurely walk from the cabins but you can reach them by bike or golf cart which puts them 1 minute from the canoes. Very fun and practical! Caddo Lake is a magical place filled with a very special atmosphere that I recommend.... In short, I highly recommend Caddo Lake Cabbins and its owner Patty!
