Wow, loved our stay! Texas Star was perfect for our girl weekend getaway. The location was awesome, but most importantly clean, tranquil and quiet. We will definitely be back. What a nice haven!!!

We’ve stayed multiple years at MooCow. We weren’t disappointed this year. Great views. Nice amenities. Plenty of space for our group. We hopped on tubes at our cabin and got out down at Lonestar the first day and launched at Little Ponderosa the second day and floated back to the cabins - a great time.

Booked the bluebonnet cabin for a weekend for June 2024. Cabin was stocked with basic amenities and a 1 minute drive to mountain breeze which was perfect for floating the river. We had one problem with a tree shedding a branch but property management handled the issue quickly and the property owners were so kind in rectifying the situation. 10/10 will rent again from them.

Booked the Sunflower cabin this past weekend to get out of the city with my wife and son for awhile, had a great experience all around. Terry was very friendly and helpful, the cabin was the perfect size and incredibly clean, in fact the 3 of us were so perfectly comfortable in the main room that the bedroom went unused, though it was plenty inviting. My goal was to fish all day Saturday, and the proximity to the river was nice, its not right on the river but it was an easy walk even with a kayak on my shoulder. I tore up the rainbow trout and my wife went into town and came back with a bunch of antiques, Id say we both had the perfect weekend. Well be going back just as soon as we can, maybe bring the rest of the family when summer comes.

This is the 3rd time we have gone down and stayed at the Red Barn. Terry and Larry are the perfect owners. They take care of their property and it shows from the moment you walk in the door. There are plenty of beds in the Red Barn. It will comfortably sleep 16. You can fish right off of the pier, you can sit and enjoy the outdoors. It is absolutely beautiful.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Moo Cow Cabins is the ONLY place we will stay in New Braunfels. As a matter of fact, we have rebooked and rescheduled vacations around the availability here.If we go as a family then we rent the red barn cabin. Its awesome and perfect for a large group. Normally its my husband, me and our two kids. Then my sister and brother-in-law and their three kids and then my father in law. Almost ALL of the kids bring a friend along too. No worries, the red barn has PLENTY of room to accommodate everyone. The Red Barn is described as a two story, but is actually a three story. It has the two main floors and then the basement is an entirely separate living space, which is where all the teenagers stay. They can stay downstairs and play games all night without keeping the adults and two little kids awake. Its perfect. Also, the red barn has a nice little deck at the edge of the water and there is water access via the stairs. Theres also a nice big deck on the main floor that overlooks the property and the river. Awesome family retreat lodging. Now, if it is just my husband and I getting away for a few days, we will rent the Winecup Cabin. Its quaint, cozy and perfect for just us. The Winecup does sleep 6, but we like having the extra room to ourselves. Both cabins are located just about a 2 minute walk from Mountain Breeze campground (via a private road, so no walking on river road!) where we rent the tubes from. Also, if you mention you are staying at Moo Cow, you get a tube rental discount. The folks at Mountain Breeze are really nice and helpful. We have them drive us further up the river to Rocky Beach, get in there, float back down to Mt. Breeze, go to our cabin and have lunch, then jump back in the river for more floating. We get out at the last pick up for Mt. Breeze which is Bezdeks. Typically we will float for 6-7 hours this way.The cabins and grounds are always immaculately clean. All amenities are onsite and private to each cabin (coffee pot, televisions with cable, restrooms, showers, etc.) which makes this MUCH nicer than roughing it in a tent or base cabin. The only issue we have ever encountered was the A/C going out in our cabin. I contacted Terry and immediately she offered to put us up in a hotel in town, but then realized she had the Bluebonnet cabin (right next to the Winecup) available for the two days we would be there, so she had us stay there instead. The A/C guys were out that same night trying to repair the A/C (within an hour of us calling Terry) but had to order a part, so it didnt get fixed until the next day and we went back. Worked like a charm and almost froze us out!Last but certainly not least.... the owners are phenomenal! I just love Terry. She makes booking this property such a breeze. And as mentioned above, if there is ever an issue she responds asap. She is very sweet and helpful. Dont hesitate to ask her a question! If youre going to New Braunfels, it is definitely the best place on the river to stay.

We have our annual fraternity reunion each fall at Moo Cow. We stay at the Texas Star & Wagon Wheel with our wives since the houses are next to each other. We relax on the river during the day and the front porch at night. It is our favorite place to stay on the Guadalupe

We have stayed in a couple of the Moo Cow Cabins over the past few years and always leave to head back home to Houston after the weekend is over feeling relaxed with a smile on our face along with the sound of the kids in the back whining that that dont want to go home yet (which is always a sign of a great vacation :) Thanks again for the wonderful time this past weekend, we will definitely be back!
