What a beautiful and amazing place! Stayed during the off-season for 3 nights and pretty much had the property to myself. Plenty of trails and natural areas to explore.The cabins are the perfect size with plenty of amenities. The spacing of the 3 cabins means that even with other people staying, you are still secluded and quiet.The property has amazing views and is perfect for stargazing at night.If you are looking for a quiet place near Garner and Concan you cannot go wrong with Lost Canyon. Cannot wait to come back!

Such a beautiful place. If your looking for some quiet time, or just a awesome view and even more awesome view of the sky at night. This is your place. This was my first time and definitely have to make more trips.

This place was amazing. We were in the canyon breeze cabin its the last cabin at the end of the road. It was perfect! It fit the 4 of us perfectly and had everything we needed. Very quiet! The cabins were spaced out well, never had any problems with noise, and the view was great. Only a few minutes from the river and Garner State Park. We cant wait to come back!

Beautiful cabin, clean and spacious. I didn’t care for the resorts river access, but it’s a short drive to garner.

Very clean 3 cabins, the property itself has quite several activities such as walking trails, you can bring your mule/ATV here to enjoy riding, volleyball court, lovely views … near Garner State Park, private access to Frio river….perfect place to get away from pollution

Was there for a friends birthday and we loved the cabins! The other resort of theirs is so nice. Loved the pool and river access.

We stayed at Steppin Back Guest Ranch earlier this year. It was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Austin. Easy drive to get there. The cabins are fresh and clean with all the amenities you need - outdoor grills, inside kitchen, appliances, satellite tv, comfortable beds, bathrooms with showers, couches etc. It was like have the nicer things from home, but the outdoors right at your finger tips. These are not junky cabins, these are nice, clean and comfortable. Plenty of walking trails all around and youre literally just a mile from the river. Very serene and quiet with crisp fresh air to breathe. The views are beautiful from each cabin too. It was a great time and we certainly hope to get back there again in 2013. I highly recommend renting one of these cabins for a relaxing family type getaway.
