First time at the Log Country Cove, and we loved it! Stayed at Meagan Breann with 2 kids (10 and 8) for 4 days in Nov. Perfect location, right on the water, with 2 decks, a grill, fire pit, steps away from the common area and the small beach. The cabin was smaller, which we anticipated based on the pics, but good for the 4 of us, especially with the 2 outdoor dining areas (on the deck and down by the fire pit). The staff were gracious and accommodating. Love that they had motorized boats and jetskis for rent and free kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. We boated down the LBJ lake and canoed around in the quiet waters. Lots of wild birds and deer on the property, pecan trees, very beautiful and relaxing. The kids loved the place so much, we just stayed on the property. The gaga ball game was a huge hit. Will definitely have to return in the summer!

We had the most wonderful vacation at Log Country Cove! We stayed at Manda Shae (the duplex). The cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was right by an inlet of the lake with big oak trees shading the front. My daughter (4) loved the hammock. The only minor complaint I had was the stove burners were crooked, and 1 didnt work. Also the pans were rather scratched up. But really, there was so much provided for our comfort that that didnt affect how amazing our stay was.Also, the amenities were so great! I thought wed have to rent a kayak, but theyre right on the beach for you to use at any time of the day. We got to try paddle boarding, too, which was so fun. My daughter loved the water trampoline and mini golf.We had such a fun, relaxing time that we hope to come back in the spring. It was so affordable for all it is, too! Highly recommend!

This place was AMAZING! Great place for the entire family, or just couples! Tons of things to do on the property that you won’t want to leave to go anywhere. The privacy around each cabin is perfect. The cabins are like home away from home and all you need is clothes and groceries.The owner, she is just super sweet and I could sit and talk to her for hours. This was the perfect little getaway I needed, peaceful hidden gem I never knew existed. I HIGHLY recommend and can’t wait til I come back this summer!!

My husband and I looked for several months for something we could fully enjoy with, or without having to leave whichever we decided. We found this cabin that was perfect in the area we were looking for and had our kids with us for two nights of the 4 nights we were there. They absolutely loved this place, WE absolutely loved this place. We were able to fish, hike, cook with everything we needed tjere in the cabin. The gas fireplace made it perfect on our cold nights and the porch was perfect for our cool morning coffee. We are definitely coming back

Great placeWe all loved the cabin, the kids all loved the playground and mini golf area.We brought fishing gear with plans to fish but everyone was having so much fun doing everything else we never even got the poles out of the truck.Exploring around the property both on foot and by golf cart was great too.

A most wonderful escape from a stressful work life, This was our 4th time and we will definitely be returning. So many options for fun on site and in the surrounding area. We absolutely love everything about Log Country Cove. Aside from the lakes and recreations associated with that, there is amazing rugged countryside, hiking trails, and beautiful wildflowers in the surrounding area.

This place was amazing. Came here for a company retreat and had the best time. Loved that you can jump from the balcony down into the pool. The main house is built from all Canadian trees and theres not a single sheet of drywall in it. The owner is also really cool and humble. Overall I was really impressed with this place. Cant wait for next years retreat.

This place is absolutely amazing! We went for Memorial Day weekend as a mini vacation. We stayed at the Steen cabin. Site is right next to the water. Cabin was clean when we arrived. Lady at the front desk was very sweet and willing to answer an questions. You get all non-motorized items rent free. All other with motors are decently priced, (I.e pontoons, jet skis etc.) not too far from town but far enough to get away from the city. Was really quiet here even with it being a holiday. Definitely will come back for another stay!

We stayed for Christmas 2022 and had a wonderful time. The lodges are beautiful and well-designed. The fireplace was gas and turned on with a light switch - was disappointed at first, but quickly got accustomed to instant warmth, not having to deal with firewood and loved not having to clean out the firebox at the end of our trip. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms well decorated, and the property is well-designed with cabins close, but well-placed for privacy and a beautiful view. We’ll be going back! 7 minutes from Inks Lake State park and close to Kingsland HEB and small-town adventures amd restaurants. On-site trails are short, but nicely Kaye’s out for an evening stroll. We had a great stay!

We had the best family trip ever at log country cove! We rented a jet ski we swim in the pool and hot tub and we had so much fun on the water trampoline and the rope swing. Renting a golf cart made it a fun adventure for the kids, and we loved doing hikes on the trails with some beautiful views. We hope to go back annually!

Such a cozy little getaway. I’m not one to do a log cabin out in the middle of nowhere but this was actually pretty cool. My family and I (6 adults and 6 kids) really enjoyed our selves. Minus the tv, all of our kids stayed tech free which was awesome. They really enjoyed themselves playing in the pool all day and visiting the lake along with a platoon ride and some serious volleyball fun. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because our cabin wasn’t the cleanest. Whoever stayed before us obviously brought along their dog and that was not cleaned up before our arrival. If your not a pet lover it’s pretty gross to walk around and have dog hair covering your socks (yuck!) we reached out to have it cleaned up but no one ever came by address it, unfortunately. Other than that we had fun and the stars at night are absolutely breathtaking.

Celebrated my birthday here. Was a perfect weekend. I love this part of Texas so much. The house that we stayed in was beautiful. Renting a boat was painless. The family even left a nice note and s’mores ingredients for us. Had an unforgettable weekend. They even allowed our dogs!

Nice water front . It is big . Feels like a community. The cabin (Maagen ) I dwelled is cozy , clean , beautiful and has nice water view. The price is reasonable . The people quite nice. Shawn called me knowing I might be late for checking in. Appreciate Gary for bringing in extension cord to help me hook my Tesla to the outlet.

Spent the weekend in Hill Country with the family and we rented the Rockin J Cabin at Log Country Cove, everyone had a great time! The cabin was very cozy and there were so many activities and little games spread out for each age group we had. Everyone really enjoyed the pool table at the front of the cabin, and we also loved sitting outside near the fire at night. We loved walking the trails and also enjoyed the area next to the lake with swings and nice scenery. My only recommendation is that they put better lighting in front of the house where the pool table and foosball is, at night it gets very dark and we couldnt see the foosball table, we had to use our phones flash. Other than that, it was a great place to stay for the weekend with beautiful scenery!

Beautiful place! Houses are so much fun. Such a joy to stay here by the lake and enjoy the beautiful grounds. There are swings and play areas for the kids as well as boats you can rent. We rent one of the larger houses and we never want to leave. Keep it up guys!

We stayed in Longhorn Cove, a two bedroom cabin. This is a beautiful and well kept cabin. We stayed just a couple of nights during our mother/son camping trip, and this is the way to camp. I would highly recommend this cabin and the whole Log Country Cove establishment. The staff are super friendly, and there are lots of amenities. I hope to come back with my husband.

This place is so beautiful!! Im a city girl and not big on country life, but this is so nice! Its quite scenic. We are here for a church retreat with the womens department. Theres 2 cabins with plenty of beds. There are about 25 women here. We are at Coyote Moon Lodge.

Lovely area and awesome cabins! Reminds me of a bed and breakfast, although Ive never been to one. But theyre not your typical cabins. Water everywhere and several different activities available. Great for family reunions because of the different size cabins!

Great cabin and great location. We stayed here for our 4th of July family trip. Everyone had a blast and though the place was awesome! The only downside we had was with the boat rentals. Our last day we rented a pontoon to spend the 4th of July on the lake. Unfortunately, the pontoon stopped working and left us stranded on the lake which was not fun with small kids. The staff was quick to recover and tow us back, they mentioned the boat may have had bad fuel. It was a big damper on the trip especially since it was our last day! Would like to give them a second chance in the future but might think twice about the boat rentals.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! We used it for last years ladies retreat, and cant wait to go back! The cabins are beautifully decorated. They have full kitchens, beautiful views, quiet environments, and many also have pools/hot tubs. You wish you could live there year-round!

This is our 8th summer staying with Log Country Cove continuing a tradition that goes back 4 generations. We have anywhere from 28 to 35 family members who come to stay for 5 nights and celebrate family together. We stay at the Big Timber and not only are we near the lake, we have a private pool with a slide, hot tub, and access to a rope swing and volley ball. Boats and jet skis can be tied in the cove for quick accessibility and fishing can be enjoyed by all ages.The kitchen is large enough to accommodate our large family and the extra long counter in the adjoining utility room makes for a wonderful, breakfast, snack, and dessert pantry. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms have plenty of towels and their is plenty of room for table games or puzzles. It is wonderful having everything you need right at your fingertips.When issues occur there is always help available. For example this year the new A/C in one room had a temperature adjustment issue and we had one group sleeping in very warm conditions. Maintenance came that night with extra fans, and the next day technicians with a temporary unit for a quick fix; then continued to come to work out the problem and rectified it.While staying at Log Country Cove you not only have shopping for lake toys and food nearby, but you also have the availability of Marble Falls, Johnson City and Fredericksburg to give our Moms a day out.As with any accommodations there are a few shortfalls. The many stairs can be an issue for older family members, but this issue can be worked around with a little planning. The kitchen refrigerator while very tall is not very deep so some large dishes wont fit and even though there is an extra fridge in the basement, it would be nice to have one in the utility room.We as a family look forward to more years of visiting Log Country Cove and continue what is a 50 year tradition. It is a wonderful place to relax, laugh, rest, have some fun, get really wet and love big!

Awesome cabin ! We stayed in the Steen. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the ac doesnt work in the bedroom and the shower spout doesnt work well but they did have extra fans which was nice and also the jet tub was awesome! They have almost everything you can think of incase you forget something. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! The staff was friendly and so were the other people staying near us.

We love Log Country and have been coming for years. Our 2nd visit this year. We stayed in the Tree House. Very cool house. Multi-levels and a spiral staircase down the middle. Beautiful trees, views and stocked with games and other amenities. A great dog-friendly home and recommend for families with kiddos 5 and up. For the reviewer that was disappointed there wasnt a Spanish translator lol!!!

A group of 7 friends stayed at Riverside recently, and we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. Riverside has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, large closets, and a well-appointed kitchen (a crock pot, blender, and electric griddle - and more!). There is covered parking for 2 vehicles. The best feature is the view of the Colorado River. We were at first disappointed that there was not availability in the log-style homes for the dates we needed, but Riverside ended up being the better location for us. It felt very private. The beds were comfortable with quality bedding. We are hoping to make the trip to the Riverside home an annual tradition.I would also like to commend the staff at the Log Country Cove office. I called several times with questions about the property. I was always treated with patience and had all my questions answered.

I attended my cousins wedding here at Log Country Cove and stayed the night in the Dustin Cabin, which was beautiful! The landscape and cabin itself were both gorgeous and comfortably rustic. The staff I interacted with were very helpful and made sure the wedding went off without a hitch! Overall, I would definitely come here again in the future!

The Tuscan Villa at Log Country Cove was really nice. 95% of the entire 7 bedroom house was amazing and well kept. The house was equipped with everything needed for a large family/friend stay. The 5% lacking were a broken gas grill, chairs in the media room need replacing and a few other small furniture items not in the best shape. However, we had a great time!

We rented Cowboy Cove for our family of 12, 4 generations. The house was set up perfectly for our needs, lots of fun things to do after dark, pool was big hit but very expensive to heat for 3 days. Only 1 drawback, the house is very dark, lights are either ON or OFF, no dimmers nor lamps, and the master bath has one small light, no lights over the mirror. Lighting is important to set the tone and mood at dinner and in the living room,suggest lamps with 3 way bulbs and dimmers on the overheads in dining room.

We stayed at Log Country Cover for 4 nights with our extended family. The house was spacious enough for 4 families and the living/kitchen/dining room area was huge and perfect for big family gatherings. Theres plenty to explore on the property (Texass largest outhouse, anyone?) and there are also state parks nearby, including Longhorn Caverns. Wed definitely go back!

I didnt book this place myself, so I have no knowledge of pricing or anything like that, but the cabins they have are huge, luxurious, and awesomely rustic. The facilities are pretty sweet too, with pools, jacuzzis, fire pits, volleyball courts, and who knows what else readily available behind the cabins. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys this kind of log cabin setting. The only problem is that we havent been able to get on the wifi since weve been here, but that may be something were doing wrong.

Our daughter and son in law were married at Log Country Cove on March 23, 2013. My husband and I stayed at the Leanin’ K Log home while other family members and guests stayed at various homes on the grounds. We cannot begin to express how the helpful and courteous the staff was. They were truly instrumental in creating a unique and memorable experience. We would especially like to thank Maegan Martin and her family for being so accommodating and kind. Additionally, Log Country Cove maintains beautiful grounds as well as spacious, well maintained, and extremely clean cabins. Our families and guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We hope to return for a relaxing vacation again in the future.

Stayed at Big Timber. The place is huge. Theres so much to do here. Right on the lake. There are swings and water volleyball. Plenty of places to jump off into the pool the jacuzzi is nice and warm theres a media room a shuffleboard room plenty of places to sleep the air conditioner works great lots of fans the house is wired up smartly so that you can dim your lights and so forth. Plenty of room in the refrigerator up top and a refrigerator Down Below in the shuffleboard room for all your drinks and food. The views are great right there on the lake the beds were super comfortable.

Its like a little zoo mixed with a snake farm. There are a little more reptiles than zoo animals, but it takes about the same time to go through each section. The zoo animals are all outside mainly with areas you stand under an awning. However, the reptiles, bats, and half the lemur cage are inside.
