Perfection! Before the end of the first night, we were ready to start planning our next trip back to this location or possibly the NM location. Jackson, our German Shepherd, LOVED the extra large backyard of the Large Cabin (Texas). He played ball well into the night while the fire pit roared. We hiked the beautiful wooded trails of the nearby Davy Crockett National Forrest and explored the downtown area of Lufkin. Every detail was thought of and the entire experience was more awesome than we could have hoped for. Thank you for providing such a delightful place that felt like home and a vacation at the same time for us humans and more importantly, our pup. We will be back! -

If you’re looking for a peaceful oasis away from the city where you can bring your dogs, this is it!We unplugged and loved it! Big cabin has a huge backyard that our pups enjoyed running around. We grilled and made a fire at night, of course s’mores were involved!Angela was very attentive and responded swiftly if we had any questions. Definitely going back and cannot wait to check the New Mexico property. -

Had a great time staying in lazy pines little cabin with my two dogs. The cabin was set up perfectly for the pups and their humans. The area was very quiet with a nice view off the porch into the woods. We spent the afternoons exploring the hiking trails at nearby state parks and evenings hanging out on the cabin porch. Host provided all the information we needed to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. -

So glad we found Lazy Pines! We had a fantastic 2 day stay in the little cabin with our 2 reactive pups! This was much nicer than any cabin we have stayed in before! So many little thoughtful touches and if an issue were to come up, the owner stays in touch so they can address it quickly.Dog treats, even some homemade treats, were waiting for the boys along with puppy blankets, bowls, towels and lots of toys. We literally could have shown up with the pups and their food and needed nothing else for them. It made my heart so happy to watch our boys relax and enjoy the nature around them. They loved time in the fenced yard and in the cute dog bed/throne on the patio. For the puppy parents, in addition to a nice king sized bed, there was a comfy leather couch, propane grill, propane firepit, hammock (so relaxing), even an electric skillet if you didnt want to grill. There are some short walking trails on the property that were cutely decorated for the holidays. That was a nice surprise. We also enjoyed Rainbow Road and the opportunity to engrave a tag for furbabies who have passed. Such a small thing but very thoughful. We will definitely plan another stay at Lazy Pines. -

We (2 adults, 2 dogs) stayed at the Lazy Pines Little Cabin in east Texas and have no complaints. The joy of securely fenced yard for our two dogs! It’s so nice to not have to have them on leash 24/7. Plus, the dogs beds, bowls, and old towels/rags to use for dirty paws made everything easy. Aside from that, everything else was perfectly appointed. In fact, I was sick with a cold the whole time but was never annoyed or inconvenienced by a lack of anything. You can tell when hosts actually stay in a unit and so they know what it needs for renters. The gas grill was great—we used that for all our meals across 5 days. It was beautiful and because it’s right off the highway, you have easy access to the nearest grocery store and Lufkin. Highly recommend. -

Omg!!!! Husband and I havent been on a trip in years together. The two males of my three dogs cant be out of kennel at same time. Found the Lazy Pines tiktok and knew I had to take the aggressive male with me while grandma watched the other two. My aggressive male was the most well behaved. He loved having a yard to himself. Be able to sleep on the bed with us and snuggle on the couch. The little cabin was a great escape. My normal barking dog was so relaxed we didnt hear him bark the whole time. Drive to Lake Livingston was peaceful and Chief loved the water. The cabin is a great get away for a couple and their dogs. Snacks, coffee and dog treats. Who could ask for more? So glad I found them as we really needed a stress free break. Oh and chief really liked the toads the first night. Lol. One last thing. The rainbow bridge and being able to add my dogs that have passed was a nice surprise. Again loved it!!! -

We had the most wonderful stay for my husband and our chocolate lab Maxs birthday at the Big cabin in Texas. The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, with all the pet friendly amenities you could ask for. We have stayed at other pet friendly cabins that do not want your pet on the rug let alone near the furniture. There are dog beds, dog blankets and things like that. The fenced in yard is wonderful! Our four labs loved being able to run freely and securely in the yard, they loved exploring the trails and loved having their photo taken at Pups Passage which they have claimed as their own personal trail. They enjoyed each trail. It was wonderful watching them run and play.Communication with Angela was seamless and refreshing. She made sure to check with me prior to our stay to give us all the access information as well as checking in during our stay to make sure things were going well. She arranged to have a birthday surprise waiting for my husband. It was absolutely the best chocolate cake!!We loved hanging out at the cabin, exploring the trails, relaxing on the porch, playing corn hole, and Howard and River loved chilling out in the hammock. We loved it so much we have already booked again! In fact, we talked about Lazy Pines becoming our pet friendly destination. It is clear that dogs are at the forefront of the mind at Lazy Pines! Thank you again for creating such a wonderful place we can share with our pups! -

Lazy Pines is a dream for dog pawrents! Especially for us since we moved from IN to TX and have been in an apartment for the last 8 months. We live about an hour and a half away and just wanted a weekend getaway to unwind and relax. The property was beautiful and the dogs were in heaven being able to run around in a fenced yard. Its hard to find truly dog friendly places. Most dog friendly properties/hotels have restrictions on number of dogs, weight limits, breed limits, dogs cant be o the furniture, and then there is no where for them to run. We stayed in the small cabin and it was the definition of dog friendly...dog beds, dog treats, dog bowls, even towels specifically for the dogs. The huge windows let the light in and even with another cabin on the property, it was private. We enjoyed the trails, the rainbow bridge memorial, and the beautiful views and sounds. We are already looking for a weekend to go back and figuring out a week to make the road trip to the New Mexico cabin. Angela is a fantastic host. She communicated with me prior to the visit, during and after. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. -

Our family had the BEST time at this great property in East Texas! We loved the short drive from Houston. The best part is that this property is designed with dogs in mind! No extra fees, no weight restrictions, and no limit on the number of dogs! The big cabin has a huge yard which is completely fenced. The little cabin has its own fenced yard and the setup was perfect for our family with two dogs who live in different houses. Our family rented both cabins so we had the whole property to ourselves which was really nice. The dogs were able to run wild off-leash in the big yard and then have their individual spaces when they needed a play break. The cabins are extremely clean, well-stocked, and well-maintained. We went a couple weeks before Christmas and both cabins were decorated for the holiday which made it feel cozy and just like home. We cant wait to go back to Lazy Pines Texas and one day we want to try the New Mexico property too! Highly recommend this property for your family, friends and pups!! -

If you’re looking for a fun family-friendly cabin that’s peaceful and private with great amenities, games, and activities AND is dog friendly, then this is your place. My family of 6 + our Beagle stayed at Lazy Pines Big Cabin in January and had a BLAST!The fenced-in large yard was so much fun for my Beagle. He’s a runner, so having this sense of security with the fence was a huge selling point for us. There were also trails we could walk him, dog beds and bowls, and the best part… no pet fees!My family played corn hole, horseshoes, volleyball, and several of the board games inside the house. We did s’mores both nights on the fire pit, took naps on the hammock, and enjoyed the stillness of the pines. The cabin is thoughtfully set up and was spotless and very cozy, with plenty of parking available. The hosts are so kind and are excellent with communication. We are Lazy Pines fans and plan to stay again in the future at their other properties! -

This was the first and absolutely the best quick getaway we’ve booked that included our golden. We stayed in Lazy Pines Cabins TX (small cabin) and it was exactly the quiet, tranquil, geophony, relaxing 3 day stay we needed. Instantly fell in love with the tall pine trees and so happy our pup Shadow 🐾 had all the space and more to be able to run and relax. They even had a small pool for him to cool down and small trails on property for small morning and evening walks. We explored the area and some trails at nearby Davy Crockett National Forest that were stunning. We’re already looking into booking the New Mexico location soon. Happy to also say we’ve told our family and friends about it that even booked shortly after our stay, upgraded to the big cabin and have already said they’re too going back! -

My family and I had the best weekend getaway at the Corrigan big cabin!!! Angela is an amazing host, and the whole experience was dog friendly and truly wonderful. We cherished our time there and wouldnt change a single thing. Highly recommend, especially for dog owners!!! Your pups will have a blast smelling all the things in the yard and on the property trails! -

Lazy Pines cabin is absolutely gorgeous, my family and fur babies enjoyed themselves. The cabin is furnished beautifully, and stocked with everything you need, as well there is a grocery store about 10 minutes away. It was definitely a beautiful place to escape, my fur babies played from sun up to sundown. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. 🐾 -

Lost pines in Corrigan was absolutely perfect! We love taking our dogs on trips with us, and Lost Pines makes that so easy! The house was beautifully finshed with all of the thoughtful touches needed to make my stay cozy. The huge yard was a great place for my pups to play and hang out. And then the trails! Meandering through the pine forrest, they were even decorated with fun fall surprises. My dogs loved everything about this great place, and so did we! -

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Lazy Pines! The pups and I had so much fun staying in the big cabin. Cabins were super close to several hiking trails as well. I am very much a Glamper and NOT a Camper and this cabin was perfect. Clean and the owners were helpful and immediately responsive to inquiries. -

Review 17 (2024-11-17 - Rating: 5)
I stayed at the Texas Big Cabin, it was so lovely! The cabin its self was beautiful, but the absolute best park was the huge fenced in area for my dogs! Echo and Daphne had so much fun running around the area, chasing each other, balls, and pinecones! We brought our own dog supplies, but the cabin came fully stocked with toys, several dog beds, poop bags, and there was a surprise treat for the pups (Echo is alergic to chicken, and he was still able to eat it!). There are nice little trails on the property good for a quick walk. On one of the paths we found the rainbow bridge, it had dog tags honoring fur babies that people had lost. Near it was a kit with dog tags and an engraving tool so I could add a tag for my angel puppy. When I was there, the small cabin was empty, so I was able to peek at it. It was so cute too! Angela the host was so courteous, she checked on us several times to make sure everything was going well. In short, I can not wait to visit again. -

Our stay at Lazy Pines Tx (big cabin) was excellent! The cabin was decorated perfectly, stocked with kitchen supplies and had everything we needed for our stay! Brookshire Bros (grocery) was not far away so we were able to grab some food/bev items for our time there. Our two pups loved the huge fenced in yard! Plenty of space to run plus horseshoes, cornhole, fire pit and more. So peaceful and relaxing sitting on the rockers on the front porch! Angela was quick to respond to my texts/emails and was super helpful… even emailed us to check in during our stay to see if we needed anything. We can not wait to come back with our girls for more relaxing fun. This will definitely be one of our regular vacation spots! Thank you for creating a great spot for us to vacation with our fur babies. -

I went on a solo trip with my 2 dogs, and this small cabin was perfect for us! Spacious property that lets the dogs roam, but still gated so that we stay safe. Beautiful and clean, and only 20 minutes away from the larger cities that have all the restaurants and stores you need! We will definitely be returning! -

Shiloh and I live a busy city life. Well, at 10 years old Shiloh doesn’t work as hard as he used to as a facility/therapy dog. But he still goes to work every day. Getting away with no agenda was great. The little cabin of Lazy Pines was the perfect retreat. They truly cater to dogs. The fenced yard was the best part. Other pluses: electric skillet (the little cabin doesn’t have a stove), comfy bed, all the dog amenities, porch). Actually, Angela takes the prize for communication. The best ever. We will be back. -

Its a great little setup! There are lots of things that are thoughtful, more than typical cabins/Airbnb do. Most of the details revolve around dogs, but as a dog owner, those things matter a lot. Our dogs are like our kids, and our main priority is keeping them happy and healthy (and bathed!). There are a few small things that could be fixed like the microwave is louder than any microwave I have heard in my life. But the appliance works so its not a problem per se.Really liked the setup and decore. We had everything we needed and then some. We will for sure think about coming again! -
Review 22 (2024-06-08 - Rating: 5)
We stayed in the big cabin for a long summer weekend to reward our dogs and to relax. Wow was Lazy Pines as advertised! The dogs absolutely loved being able to run around and we loved watching them do it without having to worry. This truly is a total escape for BOTH dogs and their owners, and Angela is so communicative and thoughtful there is almost no chance you will have an inconvenience on your stay. Highest possible recommend and we will be returning soon for sure! -

The cabin was clean and thoughtfully decorated, well stocked with snacks, coffee, tea, and a grill outside to cook! Our favourite part was that its dog friendly! They even provide poop pick up bags to make clean up convenient! The hosts were great to communicate with and they answered all my questions before we arrived! We would definitely stay again. -

We had the most wonderful weekend at the little cabin in Texas. The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean and communication and check in was seamless. The fenced yard is perfect and it was amazing to be able to just let our pup out to explore and sniff to her hearts content, knowing she was safe and secure. It was the perfect weekend getaway and we loved just hanging out at the cabin, playing cornhole, grilling and chilling out in the hammock. We would absolutely love to stay again! It is clear that dogs are at the forefront of the mind at Lazy Pines! -

We stayed in the smaller cabin and it was great! They have an electric skillet which was very convenient. Our two dogs enjoyed the stay and very thankful for the fenced in area. They have a waste scooper so no need to bring that. Loved the rainbow bridge for the doggos that have passed. Will definitely be back, the big cabin looked amazing. -

We can’t say enough good about Angela and Lazy Pines! We stayed in the big cabin with our two labs and we had the most relaxing weekend we’ve had in a long time. The yard is huge and fenced in, so the boys had an absolute blast. The house is gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. We loved using the fireplace and relaxing by the TV. We are going back in a few weeks and absolutely can’t wait! -

We stayed at the Little Cabin for 3 nights and fell in love with it! Wyatt, our dog, has added it to his list of Happy Places. It is perfect on its own, but the dog centric touch gives it a step up for dog pawrents who like to travel with their canine. Cant wait to return. -
Review 30 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 5)
I found Lazy Pines in Texas on Instagram. When I saw the dog friendly description I immediately thought that it was a perfect opportunity to introduce our rescue, Betty, to car traveling. Believe me, this is no small thing for Betty. She was stressed in the car and I had to sit in the back with her. But after getting there and letting her go roam in the fenced area, she was a happy pup! It was a great get away with our pet. The little cabin has all of the essentials and is comfy! We recommend hitting up Rusty Axe for some yummy food in Lufkin, too! We hope to make another trip in the near future. -

The three doodles and their pawrents loved the cabin and yard so much.
