We stayed here the month of November 2024. We travel full-time in our 5th-wheel. The park is located with easy access to major roads and highways, but while at the campground, its quiet and relaxing. It is a basic campground but does have a laundry room and clean bathrooms and showers. The park staff is super friendly. -

Quiet, peaceful & beautiful park. We did not need WiFi service so we were given a spot in the back of the park along the Medina River. We loved it! Definitely be going back when we visit San Antonio! -

My husband and I greatly enjoyed this gem. So nice to be in the middle of nowhere and yet so close to anything you wish to do in the San Antonio area. The hosts were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The grounds were immaculate. The community was friendly. Big rigs with HDTs are not a problem. -

Quiet campground, about 20 min from river walk and SeaWorld. Saw rabbits and deer. Nice areas to walk. Camp hosts very friendly, clean bathrooms/showers if needed and laundry. We had a wonderful time! -

Hidden Valley was my home until my job took me elsewhere. The environment, the nature, & the people are wonderful. It’s like an extension of family. Ms. Teri adds a special touch whether it be Saturday morning gatherings at the outpost, or bonfire activities on a Saturday night. Folks look after one another & it’s so peaceful. Added a few pictures from my time there. -

Loved our stay here. The staff are wonderful, and they answer the phone when you call. We stayed a week, very affordable and convenient to the city. Bathrooms were great and had large walk in showers. So nice for us in a small camper! Will definitely be back.We walked a mile (both ways) to Benjamins Kitchen and loved their food. The walk was nice and when you hit the main road, there was a sidewalk the rest of the way. -

This was a great spot to stay! Very quite, clean restrooms and laundry facilties. The staff was friendly and helpful. Concrete pads were wonderful as well. -

Book at Hidden Valley and stay safe, close to San Antonio’s Attractions. You won’t regret. We had such a great time, such a peaceful RV place. We joined the Saturday night 🔥, met sweet people. Our host organized everything, wine and homemade snacks, such a wonderful evening. She was so welcoming, friendly and very helpful. -

Hidden Valley RV Park is my happy valley. It has the very peaceful feeling of being in the country, while at the same time having quick and easy access to downtown San Antonio. The grounds and facilities show every sign of being well cared for. And I offer a special shout-out and salute to Teri and Josh who have shown me so much warm, friendly helpfulness. -
Review 11 (2024-09-09 - Rating: 5)
My husband & I recently stayed there. We were extremely surprised! Its a small, well kept, nicely landscaped & safe campground. Its located a short, easy drive from San Antonio but its located in the country! We saw deer every night grazing in front of our site near the creek. Teri, the owner, was extremely helpful. She was able to give us great directions & suggestions of what to do in the area. We enjoyed this campground so much, we have already referred 2 other couples to this gem! -
Review 12 (2021-03-04 - Rating: 5)
What an amazing hidden gem. We are so happy to have found this beautiful campground.Just close enough to everything but far away from all the hustle and bustle. We absolutely love it here. Clean, great owners, terrific staff and the perfect place to be.You can even fish in the creek, no license required.Laundry room is spotless and even a little store on property.Country camping at its finest. Level and spacious sites, picnic tables, weekend non fires, quiet and enjoyable. Safe and secure as the park has security camera’s.The owners truly take great pride here and it shows. -
Review 13 (2024-04-14 - Rating: 5)
Great location and great services. We got an awesome spot on the gravel area (we have 3 dogs and from the map it was looking more isolated when we booked it). However once there weve realized that even some spots on the concrete (that of course are more expensive) are watching the green so next time no doubt on which one to reserve. The landlady is so kind and helpful and the park is pretty close to the San Antonio river walk area. -
Review 14 (2024-09-18 - Rating: 4)
Thanks for your response, Hidden Valley! Very understandable about the road. You may have us confused about the delivery driver incident. The driver I was talking about was a white man who did speak English very well. He was very rude and disrespectful. The restaurant actually redelivered our order as the driver had ruined it. We definitely agree with your policy on delivery orders. Sorry if you thought I meant we didnt or that it was an issue. We did give instructions to stop and not enter the park verbally and in writing. He had no excuses. Thanks again for your hospitality!RV Park itself is very nice and peaceful. Campground Road getting to it is horrible. The road is very bumpy and dusty. We went really slow so as not to throw rocks and as little dust as possible onto our truck and trailer. That will not help traffic that will go flying by you. Office staff is friendly. There is a rule of no delivery going to your site. Never had this one before, but ok. We had food delivered one night, and the driver did not heed my instructions of stopping at the office and calling. I purposely did not put our site number on the order. I also have the email order confirmation showing my instructions. He did call but would not say anything to me. Bill went out to find him, and the office called me. I was nicely told he was going all over the campground trying to find us and that for now on please tell the delivery to stop at the office. I told her we did, but obviously, he did the listen or care. So if you order good luck with the delivery driver. Could not really get out and enjoy the patio or campground as it was way too hot (August). Again, nice place. -

Beautiful spot limited shade. Limited when one can pull in, yet the sTaff works with you. Staff is like a well oiled machine. -
Review 17 (2017-06-12 - Rating: 5)
Has two camping areas the one in the front has pull throughs for large trailers and motorhomes, one in the back by the creek ,has large open grass areas, nice trees and shade. Very helpful and friendly owners. Super washer and dryers. If youre camping near San Antonio this is the place to be. -

Great rv park near San Antonio. Easy to get to. Nice big level spots. Very friendly staff. We will definitely be back again. -
Review 19 (2024-07-21 - Rating: 5)
Greatest RV park Ive been to in a long time! My daughter and I both booked sites because we were staying 3 nights for my grandsons graduation from Air Force boot camp. I try not to stay in RV parks usually, because I dont like being in a parking lot. Typically, I try to stay in State Parks so theres a little privacy and trees and foliage and trails. But my grandson couldnt be outside the loop and I wanted something not too far from the base, so I chose Hidden Valley RV Park. IT WAS FANTASTIC! It was like we had our own State Park! This was absolutely perfect for us. I highly recommend this park. The only complaint, (and its not the RV Parks fault so i probably shouldnt mention it...but i will) is that there are very tall weeds at the end of the driveway so its hard to get out on the road because you cant see traffic coming from the right. Im not sure whos responsible for that ditch, but chopping those weeds once in a while would help tremendously. We didnt have that much trouble getting out on the road, it would have just been easier if the tall weeds were gone. Again though, one of the best RV Parks I stayed in. This park had everything I would look for in a State Park, but its an RV Park! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Any time were in the area in the future, well be staying there! -
Review 20 (2021-10-25 - Rating: 5)
Outstanding park and staff. Quiet and folks are friendly. Nice large level pad that fit my 44ft 5th wheel. Easy to get into San Antonio. Good water and power. I would definitely return next time I come to San Antonio. -
Review 21 (2022-10-03 - Rating: 5)
Prices are higher but close to town. They did call me back with a cheaper spot that is working well. Liking the spot, just not the long slow gravel road to the park.We have birds churping in the morning and have squirrels, rabbits & deer in the area.Saturday night campfires and Saturday morning coffee. They are upgrading the electric for the longer stay people. You will soon have to pay your electricity on any of there sites. -
Review 22 (2019-06-10 - Rating: 4)
The park is respectable, and quiet (most of the time). It isnt far off of the interstate, but its hard to find the first few times without navi. The staff are very nice, and friendly. Amenities are a little below average, but it is clean and well maintained. The internet, however, is terrible - and bring your cell booster. The lake looks nice, though. I think I might go drop a line in there one morning, and see if its got anything worth taking home. Overall, I like it, but Ive seen better parks for less money. On a side note, the wildlife and landscaping here are beautiful! -
Review 23 (2024-12-27 - Rating: 5)
What a great park! It is close enough, but far enough from San Antonio. The grounds are clean and the people are friendly!! We would go back again!! -
Review 24 (2021-03-20 - Rating: 5)
This is a beautiful park, well kept and very clean. The staff is fabulous and helped us on several occasions. Pull through sites are large, with grassy areas and a patio / picnic table, so enjoying outdoor meals or just sitting in front of the camper watching the birds was great fun. It has a very country feel for walkabouts, but youre also just minutes from San Antonio, the River Walk, Missions and restaurants! Weve stayed here twice and will make it a regular winter layover. -
Review 25 (2022-03-06 - Rating: 5)
We have enjoyed a month here at Hidden Valley RV Park. The manager is friendly and helpful. The park is located a half mile off the road so it is a quiet and peaceful location. It is convenient to all the exciting locations that make San Antonio a fun place to visit. Our full hook up site was spacious and well maintained. Wifi worked better than any previous campground we have visited. AT&T reception was four bars! We would book this campground again. -
Review 26 (2024-04-06 - Rating: 5)
Excellent location with friendly hosts. Bonus: The main hostess is very knowledgeable about local tourist attractions. They had a BBQ event one evening we were there. They advertise the place as a dark sky park but a nearby auto area had their parking lot lights on all night. (Why bother setting rules about outside lights and closing RV window blinds?) Would happily stay there again. -
Review 27 (2024-03-10 - Rating: 5)
We spent two very pleasant winter months at Hidden Valley on one of their luxurious pads surrounded by open lawn and wildflowers. The park is quiet and private, out in the country, yet barely 25 minutes from San Antonios Riverwalk restaurants.I thoroughly enjoyed my daily hikes along Medio creek, exploring literally miles of the park.Teri is an exceptional hostess who goes above and beyond to ensure the comfort of her guests. She nurtures a genuine sense of community, and made our visit feel like a home away from home.We look forward to going back! -

Review 29 (2021-11-17 - Rating: 5)
Stayed here for a week. So peaceful. Very clean park. Great FHU 30/50 amp. Level sites. Nice restrooms showers. Laundry well maintained. Benjamins Kitchen was right down the road with excellent Mexican food. When we are in the San Antonio area again, we will stay. -

I just arrived this week but will be here for the next 6+ months. So far everyone had been very friendly and my site is quiet and has a nice view. -
Review 31 (2019-09-28 - Rating: 5)
We just finished our stay here at Hidden Valley RV Park. Right off the bat, Terry is absolutely incredible and so attentive to the park. When we arrived she was weed eating some spots. She saw us getting ready to back in, made me stop so she could weed eat it. The spot was perfect before but I was impressed with her drive. The grounds are immaculate, no trash, no weeds, everything ship shape. Hook-ups were very easy to use and in good shape. Plenty of room for slides but the spots are not huge; however, knew that going in and was completely satisfied. If you are looking for a park with a pool or playground this isnt your best choice. This park is quite cute and there is a large creek in the back but the real charm is the country setting and peace and quiet. In the evening after quiet time there are no streetlights or noise from ANY campers. This has to be one of the things we enjoyed the most, just sitting outside and listening to the evening sounds and the occasional truck way off in the distance.Lastly I would like to address the road issue that people are talking about. This is without a doubt one of the most well maintained, free of potholes, level roads I have ever seen. There are two speed bumps right by marked telephone poles, but I imagine that keeps people at the 10mps speed limit. The road is such a non issue I am having a hard time understanding who would even complain about it. If you do travel on the road, take your time and go slow. The ride in treated us to beautiful cacti with prickly pears were ripe and purple.Without a doubt next time we are in San Antonio we will be staying here.I am adding a picture of the road just so you can see what I was referring to. -

What a hidden gem!!! Only stayed one night - it’s a park with so much room and space. Terry could not have been nicer - did not try the wifi - so unable to comment …. Would 100% recommend this campground - truly one of the prettiest ! -

Hidden Valley is a very quiet and peaceful park. Out in the country but close enough to all of San Antonios delights. -
Review 37 (2024-02-27 - Rating: 5)
We had a great experience at this RV park. We stayed in the area that was very private. (down the hill). The owners were great and the showers and bathrooms were clean and private. It is only a few miles from San Antonio but in the country. -
Review 38 (2023-11-21 - Rating: 5)
Staying here for a 5 month work assignment. Park is nice, the owners are putting a lot of attention into the surroundings. Its very quiet, and there is a fair amount of privacy in some spots. I see deer almost daily, along with the occasional road runner. The only down side is the half mile gravel road to get there, but a small price to pay for peace and quiet. -
Review 39 (2023-10-25 - Rating: 5)
Very nice rural setting at the end of the gravel road. Great place for a few days or a few years! Tidy, and a creek runs through it. Features are an enclosed dog park, laundromat, shower/bathrooms, covered pavilion. All kinds of wildlife are seen: armadillos, deer, wild pigs, rabbits, and all kinds of birds. Very well managed and maintained. -
Review 40 (2023-12-05 - Rating: 5)
Great place to stay if its just for the weekend or longer. The premium sites are nice and you feel a bit of privacy. The Medina river flows through the property and it holds fish. I would highly recommend this park for your stay when visiting San Antonio. -

Review 45 (2023-02-22 - Rating: 5)
We had the most wonderful time while staying at Hidden Valley for almost a year. It was our home and we will always have a place in our hearts for the park and for the amazing folks that run it. Hidden Valley is im close proximity to the local SA attractions, dining, and state parks. The common facilities are always clean and you get a good night sleep thanks to the quiet hours at night. Management as well as other visitors are always super friendly and the grounds are super safe. I never had an issue with my package deliveries or with theft. I look forward to coming back to visit in the future, thank you for your hospitality! -
Review 46 (2023-08-10 - Rating: 5)
While were not able to stay at Hidden Valley, my interactions with the staff were stellar!! They were very nice, helpful and accommodating. Even while I cancelled, I received a call to make sure everything was alright. When have you had a personal phone call like that these days. Thank you very much, next time we are in San Antonio, we will definitely be staying there. -
Review 47 (2023-08-07 - Rating: 5)
Stayed two nights here in August in the hot death of TX heat. Yes it was hot, but the RV park was great. We checked in and the host offered another spot that had more shade with trees. We parked down the hill which was less crowded and quieter. Nice shaded open area by the creek with benches. Grass was short and groomed. It was almost like a small hidden valley. If it wasnt for the death heat wed probably would have wondered around the creek more. Only thing I had a issue with was the dirt road. I had washed my truck the day before and the RV park is located down a very dusty dirt road. My truck was covered in road dust just pulling in. Not a issue, but just get ready to wash your vehicle when you leave. Great place to stay. 25min from SeaWorld which was the main reason for us staying here. Lots of gas stations and Walmarts near by to choose from. Will consider again when we plan a trip to San Antonio again. -
Review 48 (2023-04-15 - Rating: 5)
We spent 11 days here while checking our San Antonio. It is the perfect getaway to be out of the fray of the metro and be out in green open space, yet still only a few miles to all SA activities. We loved being in the lower valley area, nature at your doorstep. Friendly hosts. Highly recommend. -
Review 49 (2023-03-04 - Rating: 5)
Quiet, off the beaten track. Barely noticeable highway or train noise. And this morning, Saturday, there was coffee and cheesecake. A nice send-off. The only downside to this park is the dirt/gravel 3/4 mile road to get to it. But thats why its quiet. A walk along the creek is peaceful, and last night we had a great view of the two close planets because of the dark Sky. You must arrive before 5 pm. No later is acceptable. -
Review 50 (2023-11-10 - Rating: 5)
Hidden Valley is a hidden jewel! The campground truly feels like an oasis; the creekside trail is so peaceful and the entire campground is quiet and relaxing. The owners are wonderful and do a great job maintaining a family friendly atmosphere! -
Review 51 (2021-12-13 - Rating: 5)
Hidden Gem!!! So close to San Antonio but you would never know it. Green grass and trees everywhere! Everyone who worked there was friendly and accommodating. Our kids had lots of space to run and play next to the creek, really great location. Spaces were level and well kept and reservations online were clear and simple. Laundry was clean worked smoothly. We will definitely be coming back! -
Review 52 (2023-04-19 - Rating: 4)
My husband Doug and our friends stayed here over spring break 2023. We loved our RV spots. We stayed on the lower secluded part of the part - lots of grassy area and quite. We will be back. Teri greeted us when we arrived and she greeted us as we were leaving. Not very far from the River Walk and /or The Alamo. Thank you Hidden Valley RV Park San Antonio -
Review 53 (2024-02-25 - Rating: 5)
Had a nice quiet stay🤠 Well run RV park in the country and only a short drive to downtown. -
Review 54 (2020-10-29 - Rating: 5)
Hidden Valley is a lovely campground with a feeling of country living. However, its convenient to just about anything you need. The manager, Teri, is wonderful and so hard working. She makes sure the grounds, laundry room, and shower rooms are neat and clean. There are Saturday night campfires for all residents to relax around and enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 months stay. I would highly recommend this gem of a place to anyone. -
Review 55 (2021-06-05 - Rating: 5)
We absolutely loved everything about this campground. Its rustic and nice and the owners truly care about each and every person that is in their Park. One of my favorite things was the campfire on Saturday night when everyone gathered in the lower part of their property and talked. It was nice to meet new people and talk with the owners more. We have told everyone that we know how great this place is and we definitely plan on making a stop there again when we come through San Antonio. Thank you Teri, Mark and Rachel, it was the best. -
Review 56 (2022-03-27 - Rating: 5)
A slice of the TX Hill Country just outside of San Antonio. This park is remote enough to feel like an escape, but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants for convenience. Mark, Teri, and the rest of their team are incredibly welcoming. The community campfire was a highlight of our stay! Super hot showers and very clean and private bathhouses. We stayed for three weeks and loved every minute. Book your stay yesterday! -
Review 57 (2020-10-01 - Rating: 5)
This review is long overdue. We had the pleasure of staying here for over 9 months. The place was exactly what I hoped for when we knew we were moving to San Antonio. Its a quiet, clean, wide open, and close to San Antonio. More than a few times I left my RV or car unlocked but I never worried because thats how safe and at home you feel when you stay here. Teri was amazing, she was nice, helpful, and fair. We had an issue with our dog and instead of just kicking us out she explained the situation and gave us a second chance which we will be forever grateful for since people getting second chances is a rare thing nowadays. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, country feel this is the place for you. I know its the only place well stay if we ever get to go back. -
Review 58 (2022-11-17 - Rating: 5)
Great place. Reviews from 2021 or older made it feel like a 50/50 shot on whether its be a good experience or not. Day 1 of 3: so far, this place is our go-to campground when in San Antonio area. Greeted at the office, set up at our site, WiFi and utilities hooked up all with greatest of ease. Had trouble enroute with online booking and called the office. We left a message and they called us back within minutes, took care of a reservation over the phone. Store/office is very nice. Lots of tourist pamphlets for things to do on the racks. Lots of other information available, business cards of local shops and services. Camp rules are easy to follow. PA discount is a bonus for us. Too bad we can only stay a few days - would love to stay for a week and enjoy a Saturday night here. -
Review 59 (2021-03-18 - Rating: 5)
Nice park, plenty of room between sites, well maintained and away from everything enough to feel totally safe. The managers of this park are fantastic. I stayed here before and after having surgery in San Antonio. They held my space for a couple of days past my reservation just In case I needed more recovery time after leaving the hospital. They texted to see how I was feeling and make sure to let us know that our site was open to us if we needed to stay longer. Thank you doesn’t cover how appreciative I am for their kindness and care. Great people, great RV park. -
Review 60 (2018-02-07 - Rating: 4)
Stayed at the campground in January. Teri and her staff were very helpful and friendly. The sites were a good size and we found the campground to be very quiet and within about half hour to an hour from all sites we wanted to see. The washrooms/showers were large and very clean. The laundry was also very nice. There was a mix of long term and short term campers. The only negative I would say is that the wifi was weaker at one place than another. The strongest spot seemed to be at the downhill section. Teri said this was going to be fixed in April. They also have 3 campers for rent and one cabin. Reasonable cost for the month. Would stay there again without hesitation, even with the gravel road to get there. -
Review 61 (2020-12-29 - Rating: 5)
We cannot say enough on how nice, safe, and peaceful this park was. We stayed in the lower section close to the creek and woods taking walks daily. It is very well run with super clean large sites, incredible WiFi , with easy access to San Antonio! The owners even updated people of weather changes in the area. You will not be disappointed by staying here! -

Review 63 (2022-11-27 - Rating: 5)
This RV park was great, very quiet and well taken care of. Terry(sorry if I spelled that wrong) was so helpful checking us in, she gave us a great map of the area and gave us great pointers for parking at the Alamo. The park is a little off the beaten path, but those are usually the best ones because they are more secluded, which we tend to like. They had wifi too, if you are expecting blazing speeds then dont set your expectations so high, but it was good enough for us. We had our phones and we brought our own internet for streaming. It was good as a backup though for checking email and getting on Facebook. They have a laundry facility (we didnt use this) and bathrooms that have showers which were very clean and well kept. If we ever make it back to the area we would definitely stay here again. -
Review 64 (2018-11-12 - Rating: 5)
Great park. My boyfriend and I just started full timing and this was our first stop. The park feels like you are in the country, which is exactly what we wanted, but close to all the amenities of a city. All the staff are so nice and helpful. Our dogs loved the dog park and it was kept clean and mowed. We stayed a month and would definitely stay here again. I hope we are lucky enough to find more parks like this on our travels. -
Review 65 (2022-11-18 - Rating: 5)
The people are so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. And the site is lovely with the creek running through and the trees. Amenities (laundry, showers, etc.) are lovely and clean. And the location is convenient for getting around from the south of San Antonio. -
Review 66 (2018-12-09 - Rating: 5)
Little hidden treasure here. Very quiet with a chorus of crickets to help you sleep. We were in the lower campground and loved it. Some trees, picnic tables, grass on good sized lots. Terri at the office very helpful, friendly and went overboard to help us navigate San Antonio. Location is at the end of a 1/2 mile private road. Take it slow and the washboard road isn’t as bad. Easy to get anywhere in San Antonio from this location. We spent 5 days and would definitely go back. -
Review 67 (2022-04-12 - Rating: 5)
We just left this beautiful hidden peaceful RV campsite where you can find nature and a beautiful creek. Prices are reasonable and the #1 is the host “Teri” and her daughter “Rachael” was so friendly and welcoming! We highly recommend this place if you want to visit San Antonio since it’s only 20min away from downtown. Plus they are pet friendly! ❤️🏕 🌲 -

My husband and I stayed creekside at this campground. The grounds were very clean and felt extremely safe. Check in was easy and the owners were very hands on. Our campsite was easy to find and the space was large and level. We attended the evening campfire and were able to sit and talk with other campers. If your looking for a family oriented campground, this is it! -
Review 69 (2022-01-22 - Rating: 5)
Very nice campground. Quiet. Friendly and helpful owner. We were able to enjoy all the sights in San Antonio and not worry about leaving our camper at this campground. We had an old picnic table that need to be updated. But everything else was great. -

We loved everything about our time at Hidden Valley! Our little ones even loved it!! Our only regret is that we didnt stay longer!! The owners are very friendly and they really care about you! The area is very beautiful and quiet! The restrooms, showers and laundry are very very clean!! They even have a little store and time with their guests around the fire! We cant wait to visit again!! -

We stayed a little over a month from April to May 2017. This is a family owned park that is clean and quiet.Terry manages the park and is great to talk with. She knows the area and things to do. She always has a smile. She makes the stay nice. The sites are large grassy sites with gravel to park on. This park is big rig friendly for sure. We stayed in a 40 foot Montana 5th wheel. The park is in a country setting and is quiet and peaceful. It is just a couple of minutes from the interstate, fuel, stores, things to do and food. You get the best of both worlds staying here. The facilities like the bathroom, showers, and laundry room (4 washers and dryers) are new since 2016. They are all kept very clean. There is only one thing I could say that some may not like is the gravel road coming into the park. Some may not like driving on gravel, but if that holds you back, you missed a great place to overnight or hang your hat for a longer stay.We will be back when we are in the area again as we totally enjoyed our stay here. -

We had a site Down on the lower level - creekside, which is not really near the creek, but the sites are spacious. They are Gravel and we had a little trouble leveling. But it was very quiet and peaceful. We got a lot of emails and instructions, which was nice.As noted by others, there is a dirt/gravel road about 1/2 mile to the campground. By the time we go to our site, the coach and especially our tow vehicle car were covered in dirt. Not a big deal for us, but others might have an issue. Will definitely be back when in the area. -

A wonderful RV park, conveniently located on the very outskirts of San Antonio. Teri made us feel really at home. We stayed in the quiet treed area near the creek, even though it was bit of a hike to the spotlessly clean bathrooms. Lots of space to walk that would be especially appreciated by travelers with pets. Highly recommend this place. -
Review 76 (2020-12-30 - Rating: 5)
Such a nice, quite, clean park. The attendent was very friendly. The park even hosted a group campfire Saturday night.Loved the easy access of our pull-through, full hook-up spot. We could have chosen a concrete pad instead of gravel, but it cost more and our site was fairly level, so it was ok.They had clean showers and a nice, clean laundry facility that was very affordable.Prices are high everywhere during this pandemic, so their price to camp was about average.Theres no pool and not much to do at the campground. Not really a very good bike riding place, but plenty of places to walk around on the roads and by the creek. We are seniors and it was a great place for us, but maybe not so fun for kids in the hotter months. We dont have any pets, but saw plenty of people with dogs. Everyone kept their pets doo-doo picked up and I noticed there were cute little stations set up for owners to deposit their pets leavings in. There were no problems with dogs barking or running loose.Strict rules on visitors, but Im sure theyre in place for a good reason. Had to get permission for our son and two granddaughters to come over for a visit.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here...it was nice, clean, very quiet and relaxing. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and hard work into keeping this place nice.Well stay here again when we visit San Antonio. -

A hidden treasure. Prices were very reasonable and the hosts and staff superb. My wife and I travel extensively and have not come across more friendly or accommodating people. It rained heavily north of the park and the host came to us and said they were concerned the creek we were parked near may overflow its banks. They made a site ready for us on higher ground and urged us to relocate. Kudos to the staff at Hidden Creek. We stayed in a 38 motorhome and I WOULD return. -

We were pleasantly surprised with this park. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was an easy drive into San Antonio, yet we had a quiet and comfortable place to relax in the evening. Terry offered a wealth of information about what to visit, where to park, etc. Would definitely stay there again. -

We are staying here to go to the River Walk in San Antonio. Which is only about 25 minutes north of here. This is a hidden Gem. So beautiful and clean , out away from everything, but close too. And Terri at the office couldnt be more friendly and helpful. She knows the River Walk well and was very helpful with how to enter and the best places to park. They also have the nicest large showers and bathrooms. And a laundry room as well . This place is fabulous ! -

Teri arranged for us to have our camp site from the previous year for this year, perfect. My friend had their camper and I had ours, so we were camping next to each other. The place is especially clean and pretty, bath house is above the usual, clean, private and roomy. Terri is so sweet and helpful, she does what is necessary to ensure that all expectations are met. The camp ground os quiet, grass is manicured, hookup neat and easy access and work well. I will go back as soon as I can, love this place. -

We are glad we chose Hidden Valley for our campsite with our travel trailer while traveling down south for the Fall/ Winter season. Our first outing was for 8 nights. We have currently stored our camper with them because we feel they offer a safe secure place for our camper along with security cameras onsite. We will return soon for another 8 days camping and then will make yet another return later for further storage and a couple more days of camping. Teri and Mark and their daughter Jessica (I believe that is her name?) were very friendly and accommodating for our needs. The serenity of the property is what it is all about. Community activities are available as well. The machines in the laundry center are quite new and clean and showers are very clean as well. -

My husband and I have traveled for 3 years full time in a 25 ft Mercedes Leisure Travel RV. We have been to 38 states and well over 100 RV parks. This park is one of the best we have visited. Heres why. The park is conveniently located near San Antonio but when you get to the park it feels like a real campground out in the country. Space between sites, grassy areas, a couple community fire pits. The location and campground facilities (laundry and bathrooms) are super nice but what really sets this campground apart are the owners (Terry and Mark) and the employees of the park. You immediately feel welcome and part of their family. Sitting around the community fire pit and chatting with the owners, employees, and fellow campers felt so wonderful. This RV park/campground is a must visit if you are in the area. We will always remember our wonderful Hidden Valley experience. -

Hidden Valley RV Park is a great place to stay at when in San Antonio. It isnt kid friendly, so it is generally very quiet. The new clubhouse/laundromat is clean and well maintained. Terri and Mark are very accessible and quick to respond to your needs. A variety of activities help build a sense of community. -

Very friendly and helpful. We only stayed 2 nights to see Alamo and Riverwalk. They offer 1 night discount for Passport America. The area is double the cost of most places we have been. Some places wanted $67 a night, I just want to park in your field, you dont have to make my bed and give me continental breakfast! This one wasnt as much as their competitors $50. It was very quiet in the last campsite area down the road. I would stay here again. -

This place is right off high way 35Two ladies at the office were very helpful and camp sites were kept clean. I didnt use their bathrooms but I bet they were clean, too.We have passport America so 50% discount. Initially we just want to spend one night but we liked this place so even second night was regular price, we decided to stay..This place is about 11mile to Lackland AFB and 15 mile? to River Walk and Alamo. The ladies at the office would help you for your stay. On would come back. -

Review 92 (2022-01-11 - Rating: 4)
Actually, this is a very nice, very quiet RV Park. Staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about San Antonio and the park itself. Although it is close to I-35, (its about a mile off), so the interstate traffic is all but impossible to hear. We did hear some very distant train horns in the distance, but so far away, we kinda liked it. Some sites have concrete pads but we were on a hard packed gravel site in the back of the facility which was fine with us! There are WIDE grassy spots between sites which we really liked - again adding to the quiet. WI-Fi was plenty adequate for our needs for email, etc. Good 50A and plenty of water pressure. The laundry room was very clean - small but nice and clean washers and dryers. All in all, a highly recommended RV park near all of the San Antonio things to see and do.Except...The inlet road to the park is about a half mile of crushed concrete / gravel that creates an unbelievable dust storm when entering and exiting the facility. I mean, weve never seen such a mess! If you are a clean / neat freak like me, this is a deal breaker. We arrived in a spotlessly clean tag axle motorhome with freshly polished aluminum wheels. By the time we drove through the road to get to the rv park and to our site, our rig and towed SUV were COVERED in grey dust! I truly was astonished. So, I spent the rest of our arrival afternoon washing the motorhome and towed car. (not sure if washing was allowed but I didnt ask nor care). Of course the car got filthy in our comings and goings during our 8 night stay, but the motorhome still looked okay until we departed. So, do we recommend Hidden Valley? Yes, very much so. But if youre a clean freak like me, no. We would never stay here again. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Park in a Motorhome. -

Back again for our 2nd visit - and even better. The drive into town is quick and easy, lots of services easily available on this side of town, and the county setting is perfect for us! Enjoy the sunsets, listen to the birds, and meet great fellow travelers. And the owners couldnt be nicer. -
Review 94 (2017-12-19 - Rating: 4)
A little remote, but close to freeway access. Really dusty and long entrance road made me chuckle about the ability to wash the RV before we would depart...Back down the dusty, long entrance road. ;~] The rigs camera lenses will have to be cleaned off at the exit again at the least..Be careful when entering from the East...IT IS THE FIRST RIGHT-HAND TURN, which is slightly blinded. The big entrance sign is actually BEYOND the turn.Did I mention the dusty entrance road? Well, after a lot of rain, it all turns into a swampy mess of slippery, non-draining clay. In my opinion, a tad expensive for the basics, but a wonderfully cheerful staff and a quiet, river and park-like setting down the hill makes for a nice stay, that is if you dont have an inch worth of rain over four days. The Internet access is different than what we have experienced at other parks: One code per device, which is only assignable ONCE. Three device codes are offered for free, but many RV needs surpass three devices. More codes can be purchased.Great place for the good, old-fashioned hospitality without the frills. We would consider staying here again, but we havent been to any other San Antonio sites to compare yet. -
Review 95 (2022-01-04 - Rating: 4)
Sites are spacious, rates are fair. Staff are very polite and informative. The only reason I dont give a 5 star rating is bc the 3/4 mile driveway is gravel, and dust is unavoidable driving in and out. Otherwise its a pleasant quiet place to stay. -
Review 96 (2018-04-04 - Rating: 4)
We spent March 2018 at this park. Teri and the staff were very nice and helpful, and the park is very quiet and clean. It is a bit rural so you will need to use your vehicle to get around, but we often drove to the Madla Transit Station a few miles away and parked our big dually truck and took the Via Transit Buses into town for the day, rather than deal with parking and the $$. And the Medina Nature Reserve which is a few miles south is a lovely place for walking or biking. We enjoyed our stay at hidden Valley RV Park. -

Review 98 (2020-07-20 - Rating: 5)
First time here, definitely not the last. We LOVED this place. Not a single complaint. Just like anything else, it all depends on what you’re looking for. Sometimes we take the kids to campgrounds with water slides and tons of people, and sometimes we just want peace and quiet. This was one of those times. It was so tranquil and serene. Regarding things that may be a little different here:Don’t know about the quality of their WiFi because we travel with our own hotspots ALWAYS since we occasionally have to work while out, no issues with phone service though;Yes you’re a little ways from the bathrooms if you’re staying in the “lower part” but, our RV has them and it’s full hookup; there were no fire rings allowed but they provide a large friendly campfire on Saturday nights and we’ve also gotten pretty good at stovetop s’mores in the camper; yes there are some gravel roads... it’s the country. In Texas. And since we’re hauling a camper we’re in a truck. Our littles were able to ride their bikes and the toddler’s ride on toy all around the loop and they were clearly visible and had plenty of space. The creek was AWESOME! There is a little area at the end where you can see the tiny “falls” as it goes over some rocks on the bend. We were able to fish and I was surprised by how many gar we could clearly see coming to the surface and swimming along it. My husband saw what appeared to be a bass break the surface too. It was nice and dark at night, perfect for star gazing. Only minutes from San Antonio but felt like we were worlds away.I can’t say enough nice things about Teri. She is so welcoming and friendly. When I mentioned I forgot the chocolate bars for s’mores she met me up at the office where they had some for sale. Everyone is making sure to keep their distance right now to be safe and that is perfectly fine with me. Loved it and will be back soon. -

We love it here! Its beautiful and very peaceful! The price is great and we feel like we are at home in the country. It is a safe place, so you wont have to worry about relaxing here. You can go fishing for some catfish, or hang out around a bonfire at night. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend this RV park over any others. -

If youre looking for a beautiful setting to escape and relax, this is the place. Operators Mark and Terri Blaschke and daughter Rachel are friendly and welcoming.Located just south of San Antonio, the country setting is peaceful, with plenty of space for long walks. We were there from November 2019 to May 2020. Before social distancing took over, campers were invited to intimate Saturday morning coffee at the office and Saturday evening campfires either at the new pavilion or the fire ring in the valley area. The park offers shower rooms and inexpensive launder facilities. The basic wifi just had a major upgrade, as did the extra-cost Gold wifi.Youll arrive a stranger and leave as a friend. -

We have stayed there 2 times and each was very restful and enjoyableWe were close to the air force base so we could visits our grandson. Our pet squirrel Peanut got out and decided to stay there. Although it broke our hearts to leave her we had no choice since she refused to come back.It was time for her to be on her own since she had just turned two years old. After seven weeks we drove from Tennessee back to San Antonio just to check on her and believe it or not she was still running around now that should tell you what a great place it is stay she still refused to leave. The RV park is nice, clean & well taken care of.Teri is very friendly & helpful, having extensive knowledge of the area & attractions. The K9 area is large & fenced in. We stayed 5 nights.Teri was kind enough to drive into San Antonio & pick us up at the San Jose Mission when City Tours driver left us there. She even called City Tours to try & help us get a refund - which we did not get. Teri offered us a free night because of our terrible experience with City Tours, which was really nice of her.The only thing we didnt like was the long, dusty, bumpy gravel road that was the way in/out. -

My wife and I are new RVers. We wanted a place close to home to take our new travel trailer. I hit google and looked at the places with the best reviews near by. Hidden Valley was at the top. I checked tripadvisor and they had excellent reviews there, too. Hidden Valley is about 15 minutes from our home in San Antonio, but driving that mile long gravel road takes you into the country. Help Hidden Valley be a good neighbor and obey the 10MPH speed limit. The wind frequently blows towards the houses at various places along the way.Teri and her helpers have great attitudes, helpful advice and were a pleasure to deal with. For those from out of town, they have a lot of excellent suggestions for things to do while in the San Antonio area. There are a fair number of long term folks staying at Hidden Valley and all we met were very friendly. The sites are well maintained. The full bathrooms are nicely done and clean. Some people dont realize, the light on outside the door means that one is occupied, though. They have occasional campfires and Saturday morning coffee and sweets socials. There are some areas to go walking around. For those that like to bird watch the lower area (I think they call it the valley) is a great place. Sitting outside our camper, we saw Ladder-backed and Golden Fronted Woodpeckers, Bewicks wrens, Verdins, Lesser Goldfinches, Cedar Waxwings, Northern Cardinals, and a number of others I dont remember off the top of my head.I highly recommend Hidden Valley RV Park. Its clean, friendly, well maintained, reasonably priced and a quiet pleasant area to stay. -

I called just after 8 OClock in the morning to make a reservation before I saw that the office was open from 1-5. The phone went to voicemail so I hung up and planned to call later. Immediately, Terry called me back and was able to assist me right then. I was so impressed with her willingness to help, but the park is also wonderful nice gravel, level spots with full hook-ups and wi-fi included. We are leaving in the morning and know that we would definitely stay here again if we are passing through. We felt welcome and we felt safe. What else could one ask for? They do have laundry and bathrooms which we did not use. -

Not far from highway but super quiet. Stayed in spot 19. It was perfectly level. The sewer lines are placed a slightly sloped so waste will run downhill. I highly recommend this place. Wifi had good, strong signal. Lots of ocer air channels for TV. Note: the road is not paved. Drive slow. You will end up with some dust on your vehicles. -
