The cabins are very cozy with plenty of things to do at the retreat. Was a much needed relaxing mini vacation, and even tho it was cold the fire pits kept us warm. We still went kayaking but just were extra extra careful not to fall into the water lol, definitely will be back in the warmer months to jump in

This was such a charming getaway that housed more than we expected. The hammock on the underbelly, the deck sitting area, the quiet surroundings. We absolutely loved it. The TV wound up not workingā€¦ but we had so much more to entertain us, we were not disappointed. The bed was amazing, the shower was huge, kitchen easy to manage

Even though it rained majority of the weekend we had so much fun! Stayed in the Singing Cloud, it was absolutely beautiful! Was so relaxing! Beds were very comfortable! Loved the hot water in the shower lol. Went with a few co-workers and wanting to go back with my whole family of over 25. We will definitely be back!

  • Review 5 (2025-02-18 - Rating: 5)

We booked this lovely treehouse accommodation at the last minute as we were driving across country. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The living space and property in general is clean and beautiful.

  • Review 6 (2024-12-09 - Rating: 5)

This place is great! Not far from the city, so you can unwind after a fun day in San Antonio. You have a private bathroom that is well maintained. 11 out of 10 would stay here again! Why 11, you ask. Because someone will go twice.

  • Review 7 (2025-02-24 - Rating: 5)

Very family-oriented location that will be fun for the whole family. Lots of activities and a serene place to just chill. Lots of barbeque pits, kayaks, hammocks and areas to just sit and do nothing. Also, the Blue Lotus Vinyard nearby for the adults. Dont hesitate to enjoy Geronimo Creek Retreat.

  • Review 8 (2025-02-26 - Rating: 5)

The cabin (laughing water) was great and had everything we needed. Plenty of room to enjoy good company. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Review 9 (2024-10-14 - Rating: 5)

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful weekend celebrating his birthday at Geronimo Creek! The canoes, paddle boards, and rope swing kept us busy for hours! Upon our arrival, the cabin and bathroom were clean and it was ā€œmove-in readyā€! We used the charcoal grill outside for our chicken and it came out perfect! Truly an amazing experience and I look forward to our future trips there!

  • Review 10 (2025-01-04 - Rating: 4)

Pros:Cabins are set up well and the use of space was well thought out, cabin wise and grounds wise.Plenty of things for the kids to do. Volleyball, basketball, game room, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a rope swing into the creek.Location was tucked away from town which we appreciated.Cons:No one managing the grounds on location. We were not able to use the hot tub because younger children had been playing in the hot tub the day that we got there. The water was brown and murky. Water is only changed out on Mondays. We got there on a Wednesday.Although, the master bedroom was a good size, the mattress was uncomfortable. You could feel all the springs. The upstairs beds were very comfortable and much better than the master bedroom mattress. Also, the AC/heating unit in the room was noisy and the outside part of the unit could be heard from inside. The septic system sprays out onto the grass near where the tetherball game is set up. That is also located near our cabin. While we were sitting out by the fire, the septic system was spraying which made for an unpleasant smell while we were using our outdoor area. The tetherball game was also flooded due to the septic spray and the kids were not able to use it or play in the grassy area near our cabin.

  • Review 11 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 4)

Overall Iā€™d say itā€™s a good place to stay but I think the listing/description needs some clarity. The ā€œSafari Cabinsā€ are spacious but do not come well equipped for guests looking to have amenities provided. There arenā€™t any BBQ tools or any basic kitchen items youā€™d expect. No knives, can opener, cutting board, bowls..etc. Just a few plastic plates and forks are provided.Secondly, the rules & fees section in the rental agreement are outrageous. $95 individual charge for every little thing you can think of. Dirty dish left, trash can left full, missing plastic plate, noise complaint, parking on grass...itā€™s wild. Obviously negligent damage or excessive trash I would understand, but I had someone in my group charged for leaving a single dirty bowl in the sink upon check-out.For ok beds, a spacious room and nice scenery itā€™s a go. Just donā€™t expect a well stocked space or a hospitable feel.

  • Review 12 (2024-11-01 - Rating: 5)

Cute little place! We came during the week and it was quiet and relaxing. Thereā€™s plenty to do with the kayaks, game room, volleyball area, hot tub, and fire pit. Amber was very helpful and took care of everything we needed!

  • Review 13 (2024-11-15 - Rating: 5)

Once again we had a lovely visit. Itā€™s not roughing it but my kiddos love brushing their teeth ā€œin natureā€. We are always comfortable and have a great time. We will be back again next year.

  • Review 14 (2024-09-19 - Rating: 5)

It was a great trip. We have a large family and we rented both tree houses. We ate dinner and breakfast outside. It was wonderful. Small kids played on the porch. We had plenty of room and plenty to do. My only negative thought would be to update the game room. But we loved the stay and would come back.

  • Review 15 (2024-11-01 - Rating: 5)

This was an amazing location to host a girls weekend getaway! I came all the way from Canada to connect with some of my friends and the only wish I have is that I lived closer! I am already thinking about my next trip and when I can come again! The staff went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Amber was an absolute sweetheart and made sure we were well taken care of! Amber, I hope to meet again and thank you for everything!

  • Review 16 (2025-01-08 - Rating: 5)

Very relaxing and wonderful place to enjoy peace and quiet. Planty of activities for kids and parents. We stayed in cabin and few of our friends stayed in teepee tents both are very clean and spacious. Bathrooms are not in the cabins or in teepee but itā€™s private for each teepee and cabins and those bathrooms are not smelly.. River is also very enjoyable plenty of kayak and paddle boards. . Overall itā€™s perfect vacation place .

  • Review 17 (2024-09-23 - Rating: 5)

For the price it was a good value if youā€™re looking to vacation on the cheap. I stayed Monday-Wednesday so my friends and I had the place to ourselves. They upgraded us from cabins to teepees at no cost which was super cool of them. If you want to cook your owns meals you get a 2 burner hot plate and not in the greatest of Utensils so if you plan to cook your own meals bring your own stuff.

  • Review 18 (2024-09-30 - Rating: 5)

Was better than expected...Stayed in teepee. So many activities for the kids. it wasnt crowded and it was quiet. I was met by Arthur I believe was his name and he answered all the questions we had. The couple of cons I have are little and we easily worked around them... could have used a small full size fridge over a mini fridge, no dressers, limited counter space, jacuzzi was not hot... like I said no biggy. we had a great time and will definitely return with friends and family!

  • Review 19 (2024-10-21 - Rating: 5)

This was our second time staying at GCR and it did not disappoint. The teepee was roomy and clean and even though there were others around it seemed secluded. I like the contact less check in as it made it quick and easy. Side note-I left my kindle and the cleaning staff immediately let reservations know and they contacted me to let me know I had left it. We def plan to go back for a 3rd trip!

  • Review 20 (2024-12-01 - Rating: 5)

We had a wonderful stay at Geronimo Creek Retreat. The grounds are clean and included plenty to do for all ages. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

  • Review 21 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 4)

The campgrounds were quiet and the teepee was extremely accommodating. The grounds however were unkempt and litter was prominent. The amenities are great, but the game room is laking equipment. The private keypad locking bathrooms are a wonderful asset. Overall a relaxing stay.

  • Review 22 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 5)

Spent a few nights in the cabin by the river. Excellent views. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Its our second time staying, first time in a tent, definitely recommend the cabin!

Other than an annoying rooster squawking from 5am until 8:15 waking us up every morning, this place is heaven. So much to do & great to get away from the hustle bustle. Wish it was pet friendlyā˜¹ļø Id come more often w my furbaby.Showed off the pictures on FB & let all my friends know about it.

  • Review 24 (2024-06-26 - Rating: 4)

We were overall very pleased and had a great time. The park host was so great! She was so knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. All of the staff were really wonderful. We stayed in Teepee #4. It was clean, cool and comfortable. Our little private outdoor area was really nice. The pond had a lot of green algae and a little trash and no way anyone should be swimming there. The creek was great for swimming, canoeing, etc., although the water was not near as clear as pictures on website, I believe this may have been due to recent rainfall in the area. The private bathroom did leave a lot to be desired. There was broken tiles on the floor and really needs maintenance.

  • Review 25 (2024-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Second time for our family to book this location. The kids loved it and had a variety of entertainment. I will say some of the Teepes need maintenance there is a sofa bed that was not working and the mattress seemed very old and unstable. Overall we had a great time and plan to keep returning.

  • Review 26 (2024-05-22 - Rating: 5)

I grew up off FM 20 and always passed by this place. 10+ yrs and I finally got to stay here. My husband and I had a wonderful time. I miss the country living and something about the outdoors resets me. Our cabin was very spacious for the both of us as it could easily sleep 6. And being able to park under our cabin was a plus. The game room had a snack machine which is nice if you packed light and forgot about the midnight munchies. Resort also had a hot tub which helps unwind. In the future I would love to see a pool added to accommodate those who just want to lounge. The on-site groundskeeper was very nice, they have wood to purchase on site which is very accommodating & when not having the correct change she told us not to worry about it (before we left we got her the correct change). Everyone who stayed at the resort respects the resort rules such as quiet time. We canā€™t wait to return to try out the teepees!

  • Review 27 (2024-10-14 - Rating: 5)

Such a wonderful place! We rented a treehouse and it was a perfect getaway for our family. Kids loved kayaking, rope swing and the game room, canā€™t wait to go back!

Went to celebrate my moms 60th birthday had a great time... got a weird message about keeping quiet at 7pm when quiet time isnt till 11pm. Other than that the place is fantastic I will be going back

  • Review 29 (2024-08-26 - Rating: 5)

We shared a quick family weekend here and it was GREAT!! No complaints. We overpacked as if it were a full camping trip (minus the tent), but really, all we needed to bring was our food, skillet and charcoal. Everything else was provided. The bathrooms are private, not shared with any other guests via personal code entry. We fished (a little), paddle boarded, canoed/kayaked and played cornhole and horseshoes. There is plenty to do and its perfect for a fun getaway/staycation. We didnt even use all of the amenities, but will definitely be back!!

  • Review 30 (2024-06-26 - Rating: 5)

We had a super great time!!One issue we had was another person was able to get into our bathroom. I walked in on her when I was taking my kids to take their shower. It has a code so Iā€™m not sure how she was able to get in.I saw the reviews said to look out for Raccoons. But I mean obviously youā€™re camping and the outdoors is their home so you canā€™t really complain. But we had a great laugh when we discovered those crazy little trash pandas unzipped our bag and stole our marshmallows.Overall it was a wonderful time. The host was super sweet.

  • Review 31 (2024-06-26 - Rating: 5)

This spot is amazing! From the short walk to the creek, available paddle boards and kayaks, private restrooms with showers, so many activities right on the property and absolutely cute cabins. The cabins were clean, roomy and had all the basic necessities. AC worked great so the room stayed cold. Beds were very comfy. Communication via text kept me in the loop on everything I needed to know. Been raving about this place non stop. Canā€™t wait to go back!

  • Review 32 (2024-07-15 - Rating: 5)

First time there with the family and we loved it. Only issue was bathroom/shower are not in the cabin unless you get the larger cabin, but they were not far and you get your own private bathroom/shower during your stay. So no need to share with any other campers and you can leave your items in the bathrooms. Also had raccoon issues, but nothing major. Price was a great value. Great for the whole family.

  • Review 33 (2024-09-16 - Rating: 4)

Yall really need at least one human, in-person staff associate on site at all times, to assist with guest and facility emergencies in a timely & safe manner.Other than that, great getaway staycation from just up the road aways, even better for our of town visitors staying in a colder climate time of year.

  • Review 34 (2024-04-29 - Rating: 4)

A really lovely location with a lot of activities. We really enjoyed kayaking on the creek and playing in the hammocks. The creek was a little murky for swimming but there were enough other things to do. The bathroom was clean and comfortable but the downside was that there are no public bathrooms close to the creek and other activities. Also, there was no firewood for sale at the site but thankfully a town was only 10 minutes away. Overall a great time!

  • Review 35 (2024-08-05 - Rating: 5)

This was our first time at Geronimo Creek retreat. We will most definitely be back. One of the best long weekend trips I have ever been on. It has something for kids of all agesā€”from little ones to old geezers like me in his 60s. JC, the camp host, is truly efficient, helpful and attentive. The only problem was that we couldnā€™t stay longer. A true gem of a get-away only an hour from Austin. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.Michael Giambelluca

  • Review 36 (2024-05-16 - Rating: 4)

The experience here was awesome. The service from the grounds keeper was friendly and welcoming. The local fireworks seller was informative and kind. The rooms were well kept. The location is close enough to make a run out for supplies if need be. No ice machine on location but was notified that it was in-work to get one in. Overall, the stay was a fun weekend with friends and I would definitely recommend to others.

  • Review 37 (2024-08-04 - Rating: 4)

My family and I enjoyed our weekend vaca at the GCR. We stayed in a teepee and it was very spacious. We had tons of fun kayaking and swimming on day 1. The 2nd day, we had a woman come to let everyone know, that there are certain kayaks for their retreat only. Which we were told the blue and white. Which would have been fine. Except nobody really used them because they kept sinking. They do have like 5 paddle boards and they were fun as well. With the amount of people wanting to kayak, I wished they would get the others fixed. I will definitely make several mor trips!

  • Review 38 (2024-06-09 - Rating: 5)

I did not stay at Geronimo, however, I was at the River Road Treehouses. They kindly told me I should go visit for the day and enjoy the amenities with the kiddos. We did go and thoroughly utilized the grounds and had an amazing time. Beautiful, clean, peaceful, as well as the water is cool and refreshing. I will be visiting again, as well as camping overnight upon return.

Great family reunion. Rented three teepees and had a delightful weekend.Loved the fire pit grillsBring your firewood. You get a few chunks when you get there but if you are like usā€¦. We love the fire pit and love to cook over the charcoal it leaves behind.Sand volleyball, horse shoes, nice game room. The creek was the icing on the cake.Well be back!

  • Review 40 (2024-05-09 - Rating: 5)

My familys experience was amazing! The staff was so friendly. They clean your BBQ daily for you to use. The retreat itself is very clean and organized. Very private area so you do not have a bunch of families that arent staying on property bothering you. We will definitely be staying again!!

  • Review 41 (2024-05-16 - Rating: 5)

My family and I have been coming here for many years. It was a great trip but my only gripe is I had to ask for any utensils or anything to cook with. Usually, from our past stays EVERYTHING is right there in the room. Now whenever I asked for anything I had it within minutes and some were never even used. We had so much fun and there were no one staying in the cabins next to us so we had full run of the place. Grill was clean and they even found wood and set up our firepit for us if we decided to get a fire going. The room was perfect and comfortable, nice and AC was a life saver that night. the Patio was perfect for late night chilling and talks. Was a great time and I ALWAYS recommend this place to anyone that will listen.

  • Review 42 (2024-05-13 - Rating: 5)

We loved our stay here! We stayed in cabin A which was nicely secluded, but still close to all of the property amenities. Everything worked well, the bathroom was clean and convenient, and we all had a wonderful time! Our camp host was there this weekend and they were the kindest people, very helpful, even brought the kiddos some fun bubbles to play with!

  • Review 43 (2024-04-03 - Rating: 4)

It was a great experience, we had so much fun. The only thing that I did not like was the fact we had to sign the agreements that mention we would have pot and pans and utensils, but we had none and if any were lost we were going to get charged. We had coffee maker, tv, fridge and microwave. We didnt have a sink neither. Towels were provided, but we used ours, we took two sets of towels for shower and river. But overall the experience was awesome. It is a beautifully area to spend time with the family. The river was good, we used the kayaks and we had so much fun.

  • Review 44 (2024-12-31 - Rating: 4)

So relaxing. Beautiful location. Great customer service. Wonderful experience for the family. Nice balance of outdoors and modern comfort.

  • Review 45 (2024-07-11 - Rating: 5)

We booked the 2 cabins A&B with our adult children and granddaughter. We had a great time and the staff (Amber & JC) were responsive and helpful! There was also a gentleman there that I donā€™t recall his name, but he aired up the basketball for us and loaned us a water hose to fill our granddaughter swimming pool up. We will definitely book again.

  • Review 46 (2024-05-02 - Rating: 5)

This is our 2nd time renting tree houses here, the experience has been amazing both times! If you have not been I highly recommend for a family trip, girls get away, or a romantic vacation. The only thing you need to bring is food, firewood, & beach towels, everything else is provided! We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and the kids LOVED the rope swing. We were able to see several turtles sunbathing on the riverbanks while kayaking and the racoons at night were adorable!

  • Review 47 (2024-03-17 - Rating: 5)

Geronimo Creek Resort was fantastic!! Basketball & volleyball court, game room, field for soccer or baseball throwing, swimming, rope swing & paddle boards. My teens loved every second! We stayed in the cabin which was clean & tidy. Each place has its own seating, picnic table, grill & fire pit.Geronimo Creek is seated close to a city for access food/groceries you may need but far enough out that you donā€™t know it.We loved our experience & worth the drive from Wichita, KS to Texas!

  • Review 48 (2024-05-15 - Rating: 5)

The staff went out of their way to make my Motherā€™s Day weekend special. They recently changed amenities and were able to provide last minute kitchen gear to make my weekend memorable. Weā€™ve been coming here for seven years. Is our home away from home. We love this place. Thank you for making it Special.

  • Review 50 (2024-05-01 - Rating: 5)

Quick family weekend getaway. Wasnt sure what to expect but I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The kids had a blast with all of the activities available. Too many cool things to list but was definitely worth every dollar spent. JC the staff person on site was very friendly and helpful even gave the kids some stuff to play with. Would definitely recommend and definitely planning on going back.

  • Review 51 (2024-07-07 - Rating: 5)

Geronimo Creek retreat does glamping at its finest!! My husband and I had an amazing time and cant wait to come back with the whole family at the end of the month. JC and the staff were so helpful and never had any problem finding somebody to answer any questions. The creek is so much fun and The kayaks and paddleboards are such a plus to be provided to the guest. The campgrounds are very nice and kept super clean.

  • Review 52 (2024-03-18 - Rating: 5)

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights in the Homestead House. The house was clean and cozy. The kitchen was so clean and the fridge was spotless. We went grocery shopping and I was comfortable storing our food there. There was enough room for our family of 7 to fit. Amber was AWESOME and very welcoming. My kids said this needs to be our new spring break spot every year and my son already wants to come back in June for his birthday. This was the perfect getaway and exactly what we needed. The kids left their phones behind and stayed on the water, the basketball court, and in the game room. The hammocks were so relaxing. The paddle boards and kayaks were a blast! As well as the rope swing!! Having an individual fire pit for smores and bbqing was great. The grills and fire pits were clean and convenient as well. All around one of the best vacation spots. We definitely want to try out the tree house next time!

  • Review 53 (2024-04-25 - Rating: 5)

We had a great time at Geronimo! Employee JC was around the camp grounds all of our trip and made sure we felt right at home; she was super friendly and helpful! Our kids loved the hot tub and play room. My only recommendation would be to add a community pool like the place beside this one.

  • Review 54 (2024-07-01 - Rating: 4)

I stayed there with my family for 3 nights in June.. itā€™s hot out there, just keep in mind. But the cabins ( tents) were very cool and we all had a good nights sleep. I stayed in tent 7, and something to keep in mind is that 6,7,8 have the car ports to park under the cabin. The others donā€™t have that. Restrooms 7,8 are in the Same location and itā€™s outside near the lake.. and the restrooms are very hot! Thereā€™s no A/C so bring an extra fan for more air flow.. tent 6 has the restroom with a/c. I noticed that the restrooms were not clean when we got there. So please bring your own disinfectant spray and pooperie, and toiletries. I would highly recommend wearing water sandals or water shoes while taking a shower. The tent itself is nice. But under the beds my family and I found so much dirt and fluff buildup and it was gross and causing me to sneeze a lot. Now idk if they change the sheets or bedding.. but my family and I brought our own blankets. We also found out that the TV does not work. Keep in mind that the tent shakes when you are walking up and down.. and the only thing that sucked was going to the restroom in the middle of the night because the restrooms are not connected. And if you move a lot the beds make noise. So also keep that in mind. I would take a box fan for noise control. I noticed that tent 6 has metal roofing and kept the tent much cooler. Another thing is there is a lot of raccoons at night. We absolutely loved that part lol. We loved the little critters. They do have a jacoozie but it was so disgusting and had buggers and black water.. so we didnā€™t use it. They also have camp fire area which was cool so make sure you bring sā€™mores or things to cook.We brought our own burner and pots and pans, plates and spoons to make food. The fridge is really small so also keep that in mind. They have a game room with a pool table, and other things which was nice. The lake is really nice and you can use the paddle boards and kayaks for free.. but other than that enjoy your time.Oh and if you donā€™t ask to get your sheets changed they will not change them. You get a lock combination for your tent so itā€™s secure.

  • Review 56 (2024-07-21 - Rating: 5)

Iā€™ve lived in seguin all my life and usually always have to go to new Braunfels or San Antonio for any kind of getawayā€¦NOT ANYMORE. This place is absolutely wonderful. Fire pits for sā€™mores, grills, kayaks, paddle boards, rope swings, a rec center, life jackets and more for no extra charge. Thereā€™s something for everyone and the park host Jaycee is the best! Itā€™s so nice to not have to fend for yourself if you have any questions or concerns. Sheā€™s super courteous, attentive and friendly. If you need anything all you have to do is ask. She made our stay that much better.

Have been here once before on a girls trip in winter, but it has been about 5 years! Just took my family for a brief 4th of July trip and we had a wonderful time! We stayed in Getaway Cabin 1. I was surprised to see the canvas zip fronts replaced by walls with a door. This probably helped the room stay nice and cold and helped keep the bugs out!JC was an awesome property host! She was always walking around checking on things and seeing if we needed anything. On the 4th of July we realized our microwave wasnā€™t working. JC came out right away. We realized it was an outlet issue, so she brought an extension cord and got everything set up until maintenance could look at the outlet. We had a great time in the water, the rope swing was a hit with my boys and we had fun playing in the game room and the other activities on property. One thing to remember, this is glamping, not a hotel. There is going to be bugs and dirt lol, but lots of fun!

Geronimo Creek Retreat is a great place to relax and have everything centrally located. This camp was very clean and well-maintained. They also had outdoor games galore. I am so into lights hanging from the trees and this camp was fully stocked, so sitting out by the fire ring and laying in the hammocks made my getaway complete! As someone else mentioned, youā€™re so close to places to go and things to see , but yet you feel like youā€™re in the middle of the no-where.

This place is amazing! Everything you need is right there. Need a store run, only a few minutes away. All the amenities are perfect. We were going to stay here and go tubing in New Braunfels! No need to, this site has all needed! And the rooms were very refreshing! The AC worked better than my house! But by Far, the Park Host, JC, was completely amazing. She was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Very tentative to everyoneā€™s needs! Above and beyond her call of duty!Absolutely love this place! Thank you JC! We will definitely be back!

Our life was running on autopilot. Work, rushing everywhere, practice, dinner, homework, and then bath time. We knew we needed to relax and spend quality time away from the norm.Insert Geronimo Creek Retreat! It was an outdoor getaway with all the comforts of home. This well kept property caught our eyes the moment we drove into the gate. It was clean, stocked with everything you would need, and tons of outdoor activities. My kids played till I made them stop, not once asking for their iPads or to go inside. My husband and I relaxed by the fire pit and cooked outdoors our whole trip.It was the perfect slow down we needed for our family. We will be back. Thank you for the memories and the experience.

Visiting from San Diego over the Memorial Day weekend was an absolute amazing 3 days. We rented the 4 treehouses. Very clean and maintained. As for the camp host, JC. If there was an award for camp host of the year, we (15 in our party) would nominate JC. Phenomenal host and individual. Super friendly, very welcoming on our first day. She check in with us everyday and stay to converse. Wishing her the best. All in all, highly recommend for a weekend getaway. Thank you GCR.

Loved that we had a full bathroom to ourselves. Stayed almost a week. Very quiet and relaxing. Game room could use some updates. And my husband was a bit disappointed there was not really anywhere to fish. But overall. We will be back.

Fireplace and outdoor grills galore. Plenty of activities, hottub, and gameroom.Only house and treehouses have restrooms but each teepee and cabin has an assigned private toilet and shower that has a/c and heat.Loved our stay and will be recommending to our friends and family.

We stayed in Teepee 3 Jumping Fish. It was a wonderful experience for the whole family. We loved the hammock and fire pit located in front of the Teepee. The Best Texas onsite manager was very helpful and so responsive! I would highly recommend this listing.

  • Review 86 (2023-06-26 - Rating: 5)

The only issue we ran into is check-in. There need to be more signage on-site concerning where to go | what to do because its a little confusing finding all the cabins and which side of the body of water we are zoned to.The landscaping, especially over by the pool and volleyball area, needs completing. There is a huge pit that small children definitely need to be watched by.We had an amazing time (7 16 yo boys + me). The cabins were awesome. The cleaning staff (who also checked us in) amazing.

  • Review 87 (2024-04-07 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 88 (2024-07-29 - Rating: 5)

What a great experience!! I have been trying to book for approximately 4years and we finally got to stay at the treehouses. Family had a great time.

  • Review 89 (2023-03-27 - Rating: 4)

The downside was the mold smells in Teepee 4 and 3. Im guessing it needs a good bleaching, maybe. The jacuzzi was suppose to be open for another week but was down. Other than that, the beds were clean and have plenty of cooking supplies, a small fridge and a microwave, and an electric burner and sink. The kids had plenty to do, and the fire pit outside, and BBQ worked great for cooking. The rope swing was a hit for the entire family (my suggestion is a hook to grab rope when unable to reach). Canoes and water boards were bountiful. We had a small reunion, and we will definitely be going back and this time in the tree houses.

  • Review 90 (2023-06-30 - Rating: 5)

My family and I had a great time during our stay! We stayed in Teepee #4 and it was very comfortable! Texas summers are hot but inside our Teepee it was nice and cool! It was a fabulous stay. They literally have everything to make your stay wonderful. Just pack yourself, some charcoal and yummy treats, plus, dont forget that swim gear, and you are good to go! Enjoy kayaking, fishing, playing pool in the game room, a dip in the hot tub and some Cornhole while you roast marshmallows in an open pit. My kids (19,14,12) LOVED it! Will definitely be returning!

  • Review 95 (2020-10-28 - Rating: 5)

We absolutely loved it! My kids enjoyed every minute of it. The game room is clean, the bathrooms are clean as well. This place is perfect when you want to get away from the city. The best part was the creek! The water was a little cold but that didnā€™t stop us from getting in the water or using the kayaks. We also had a lovely family next door that made our stay even better.

  • Review 96 (2022-06-18 - Rating: 5)

Really enjoyed our stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, while the property was really clean. We had fun kayaking, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing games. Well definitely visit again! The only thing that would be nice to add to the property would be an ice machine.

My family had a great time. Everyone enjoyed the game room, rope swing & kayaking. We are definitely planning to stay again. Only suggestion would be they need more kayaks & paddle boards. A lot of time spent waiting on kayaks to be available for use.

  • Review 101 (2022-05-16 - Rating: 5)

The amenities were great my kids loved the paddle boarding and kayaking. The whole atmosphere was amazing and thereā€™s this one particular gentleman that works on the camp grounds that always has a huge smile on his face. Very pleasant and relaxing vacation spot for any season.

  • Review 102 (2020-09-02 - Rating: 5)

We just got back and had a great time. The lake was great. The kids did kayaking and paddle boarding, everyone was very friendly. The bathrooms on the ground were clean and the room was clean, well stocked, and the A/c was great. We went a week after SEASON so off season which cut our price in half! Please keep in mind this is a campground! Racoons did try to come on the porch at night but we made sure we cleaned the prep area very well every night and took all food items in and closed the bedroom area securely. The gameroom was fun and the grounds keepers cleaned it daily and even the bbq grill we used. Hot tub was closed due to Covid. Overall great location. HEB 6 miles away, dollar general 3 miles away. the outfoor games could use some updating. I brought an extra hot plate, my own pillows lysol and trash bags.

We had a fabulous time and have recommended it to lots of friends already. The only complaint is the hottub cleanliness, lack of hooks for towels and belongings. Also the game room was a little lacking in the pool table. It has broken and missing parts. You could use lots of hooks in the cabins and bathrooms for belongings and to dry towels to save on washing expenses and water waste. Other then that we were extremely happy w our experience!

Fantastic getaway! We took my daughter for her 16th birthday! It was a girl trip mom, daughter and great aunts. Teepee was amazing, beds very comfortable, clean bathrooms and the property very clean. Surprisingly no bugs as in mosquitoā€™s we sat outside morning and night and never got a bite. Staff extremely friendly had the pleasure of speaking to Amber and I believe (Sam) they were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Relaxing, floating in the creek, sitting on the dock just overall great experience!

My husband and I were ready for our getaway and boy did this property not disappoint! Beautiful grounds, rooms were perfect and very accommodating. We stayed in #7 and our private bathroom across from us was also very clean and was an easy access. The linens & bath towels were great quality and plenty of utensils & pans for BBQā€™ing and having dinner. The staff was very friendly and was attentive to our questions. My husband fished the pond & Geronimo Greek and caught 4 catfish & one bass, all catch and release. We kayakā€™ed up the river and enjoyed nature with a front row seat. Great family atmosphere! I highly recommend Geronimo Creek Retreat! We canā€™t wait to go back!

We enjoyed the kayaking, sitting around the campfire and playing games in the game room. It was very clean the bathroom showers could be better but the cabins were laid out very well, clean, and surprisingly nice . Overall the atmosphere was relaxed, the park host was a little too attentive to what the guests were doing and we felt like he was snooping sometimes. I would recommend staying here and we will come back.

This place was amazing. We love the outdoors and camping. What was so great about this place is we only had to bring food. Everything we needed to cook was provided. Having our own space and bathroom. It was well kept and the activities to choose from were so much fun. The location was great. Close to shopping and restaurants. We had a blast.

We stayed at this location recently. We actually drove out and took a tour to see the property prior to booking because some of the reviews. The staff on site are very nice and helpful. We got to see each unit and what they had to offer. Each unit was so clean and well stocked. We booked a treehouse and had a great relaxing time. The staff checked in on us periodically which made us feel special. The game room and kayaking was so fun. Then at night we got to have a fire in our fire pit. We will definitely be back!!

This place was pretty neat! Very relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the Getaway glamping cabins. They are pretty neat. There was a couple of things that kept me from rating this place 5 stars. The internet does say private bathroom and we did have a private bathroom but it was not attached to the cabin/tent. You had to walk to your assigned bathroom with a key across the property. It was not a problem just not what we understand when we read the description. The campfire and seating was the same way. Not near the cabin but a little ways off. Again, not really a problem. Just not exactly what we expected. Other than that, the staff was friendly and attentive to whatever we needed or just questions we had, in general. Wouldnt mind visiting here again.

  • Review 128 (2022-08-02 - Rating: 5)

The stay was absolutely amazing. It had such a peaceful vibe and was super relaxing. Thereā€™s so many things to do and youā€™ll never be bored. If youā€™re also into the spooky side, this place is also fun to explore with ghost equipment, We brought some for fun and some of the equipment went off. The main grounds isnā€™t haunted but i would say the little woods not so far behind the cabins is. Go exploring in the night and youā€™ll most likely catch something. If youā€™re really focused you can even see shadows. Overall this place really is for anyone! Would 100% go again !

  • Review 129 (2022-09-28 - Rating: 5)

This was a very nice place to stay, play and relax. The only issue we ran into was a lack of gas bbq pit at the tree house. Due to photos and descriptions, we were led to believe one was there. Fortunately , one of the employees found us some firewood for the charcoal pit and we were able to enjoy a nice cook out.

They have everything set up so you get the feel of camping but it literally has all the amenities and more of a hotel room! There was so much to do there for the kids, they loved the creek, game room, hot tub, fishing and kayaking! Would recommend to everyone looking to have a fun time with or without kids!

Roomy TeePee has 3 beds; sleeper sofa ac/heater; sink; small fridge; hot burner; coffee maker, bbq grill, and fire pit. We reserved 2 TeePees for 10 ladies. We went on a weekend that was very cold, blankets helped, while sitting around the fire pit. The heater in the TeePee worked great. Great getaway!

  • Review 132 (2020-09-07 - Rating: 4)

Perfect place for a glamping trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor day weekend at Geronimo Creek Retreat. We stayed in a teepee. It has 2 queen beds, a couch mini fridge that worked really well, TV, ac, fan, microwave, sink etc. The teepee was well equipped with everything you need. The beds, not so comfortable but not terrible either. The only negative for us was the overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol when we first walked in. We bought candies and baking soda in to neutralize the smell and after that it was not an issue. The outdoor area for our teepee was great. We had plenty of outside tables and chairs, an amazing large fireplace as well as a charcoal grill and smoker. There are hammocks and lounge chairs and a really cute area in front to fish if you desired. The creek area was special. Ropes for swinging and jumping into the Creek and plenty of life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards etc for water activities and fun. There was also a game room, sand volleyball court and basketball court as well. Lots of stuff to do or many places to relax whatever your choice. The place is not brand new, so dont expect luxurious accommodations, do expect a solid place to camp. Outside private bathrooms are adequate as well. Would definitely recommend and would return.

  • Review 133 (2023-11-23 - Rating: 5)

I didnt actually stay on this property but visited it, I stayed across the creek at its sister property but we were able to visit this property in order to kayak or get in the water. These 2 properties are Awesome between the 2 they offer a few different features the retreat has the bigger creek access and the tree houses and tee pees and the Sons has the Tent type bungalows which is what we stayed in and they were awesome the sons is more spacious property with creek access but smaller it has swimming pool are with 2 hot Tubs basketball choir volleyball court game room and quiet cool off room. I would recommend these 2 properties to anyone family, family reunion, vacationing, couples, I feel it is set up for everyone I found it a quiet place to relax and take in the beauty. I travel with work and Ive even stopped in for a night while passing through luckily the prices werent too high and I decided to splurge a little while comparing to hotel price . I love everything these 2 properties the first time we stayed there was only suppose to be for a night we wound up there 3 nights as day by day i would call and book again i didnt want to leave.

The drive from Austin was quick. Upon arrival staff were friendly and helped us open our teepee. The teepee was GREAT!! Ice cold air conditioning, 3 huge beds to fit my family of 5, and everything you need on site for an amazing camping experience. My only regret was not staying longer. My 9 year old has already requested we come back for his birthday in a few months.

What a great little spot for vacation. The glamping area was nice and you have your very own restroom. Theres no restroom inside the tent but thats ok. There were free paddle boards and kayaks and the rope swing was so much fun. Plenty of shade trees to just sit by the bank and relax. Water is deep for smaller kids but they have life vest. Will come again.

We enjoyed our stay in Teepee #2. Had our own private bathroom. I understand the tree houses do not. The grounds were well maintained and there was plenty to entertain the kids. We found the teepee well stocked with the basics. All the staff that we met was friendly and helpful. It was quite and peaceful at night.

I loved staying here! There was plenty to do for my girlfriend and I. We used the kayaks and swam in the creek all day long. The water was really clear and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and a game room where we watched movies and played ping pong and other games. We were very happy with how clean everything was and enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the outdoors. We will be visiting again soon!

The place was awesome!!! Amber - property manager was superb, she stopped by our rental to say hi and asked is we needed anything. We had asked for a couple of things and when we returned they were sitting in our porch. The onsite maintenance guy and the maintenance manager were also great with a quick assist of the a/c and wifi issues. Water was great, atmosphere was wonderful. We had the house and invited friends and it made for a great get away week. We are already setting up for another get away with 5 other sets of friends. Highly recommend Geronimo Creek. The staff was always helpful and cheerful. Was a wonderful time and we will be back. Thanks again.

The overall experience was great and having a private detached bathroom is not an issue. The issue was it being in a trailer which was ol, clean but then the shower head broke and had to take cold showers. Luckily we were there with friends who had real bathrooms that we leveraged remainder of our stay. Sites 4,5 and 6 are in a trailer not clearly outlined on website.... other than that, great family/friend trip.

First off Ill just say that all things considered, I would book again. Honestly, my expectations were just a little higher than what we actually experienced, but I guess you could say I based that solely on the advertising pictures. There were a few minor things we were slightly disappointed in, but it wasnt anything major and overall it was still a good experience. Now... based on what I saw at the campground, and the reviews I read, what little bit extra it costs to book a stay in a teepee vs one of the cabins was more than worth it because we had our own private bathroom. They are detached, but theyre literally right behind the teepees and its not an inconvenience at all. Plenty of hot water, coded locking doors, nice and clean. They do have towels, but youll need to bring your own wash cloths. We stayed in teepee #3, and because of the materials used and lack of insulation I think, the tent probably sweats a little or maybe rain seeps through in areas and there was a little mold around the window which may have contributed to the slightly musty smell. Also, all the dishes, cups, bowls, pots, pans, silverware, ect has an overwhelming musty smell from not being properly washed by each renter and not being dried before being put up. Its not even a smell that I was able to wash off a cup to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee. Next time, Ill just bring my own and it wont even be a problem. There was a small fridge, microwave, small toaster, electric burner, and a coffee maker provided. Didnt find any large toaster oven as was in the advertisement, but we still made due. Also, bring your own coffee for the coffee maker because there isnt any. That wasnt specified in the listing but I guess I was expecting it. Again, no big deal. Another thing I didnt find in any of the reviews, is that there is a bowling alley directly behind the teepees and it was very loud because the building its in is an old pier and beam building. Lots of banging and pins flying around making all kinds of noise. That was only Friday night, and it ended around 8:30 so it wasnt that big of a deal either. Also, dont expect too much privacy because you can literally hear everything from inside to teepees that is being said outside, or anything that is being said inside from the outside. I could literally understand almost every word of the people who were inside their teepee talking in a normal voice even when I was inside our teepee. The teepees are framed in plywood and skinned in canvas and some other waterproof material on the outside but they do not block sound whatsoever. Again, not a big deal, but dont expect it to be super quiet. For what little time we got to use the hot tub, it was nice. That was later ruined by other guests who basically took a bath in it to wash off muti colored chalk they had on them. It had to be drained and shut down because the water turned black. Not Geronimos fault though. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would go back. Next time will be better because Ill know what to expect and what to bring that I didnt last time.

We had a fantastic weekend at Geronimo Creek Retreat! We stayed in Teepee #4 and are already thinking on booking again for next year. The staff was amazing, especially Tim, Amber and Jon. Super friendly and helpful. The location is great. Lots of green areas and shade. We used pretty much everything- from laying on the hammocks to BBQ and fire pit to using the kayaks on the river. Super clean, with everything we needed. I recommend reading carefully the instructions they send because they explain everything in detail, including what things we should bring, including beach towels. For us there werent any surprises. The only tip I have is to download the check in code and WIFI password before getting there as signal can be weak. I forgot to save the check in code and wifi password and had to drive back to find signal. But once logged in the wifi network, we had no trouble. Thank you for a super amazing weekend and cant wait to go back!

We visited as part of a post-Covid mini family reunion and we all really enjoyed our visit. The accommodations and grounds were clean and well maintained, as were the kayaks and paddle boards. The staff conducted regular rounds and quickly reacted to clean-up messes, etc. The creek was cool and refreshing, would recommend.

1)THE GOOD..Place was amazing! When my wife told me about the place, I honestly thought we were going to be in the middle of nowhere lolā€¦ But we are literally like a 2 min drive into townā€¦ we stayed in the treehouse and it was so roomy! My favorite part was kayaking! I would say itā€™s around 200 yards of water you can cruiseā€¦ The activities were so fun! The game room was nice! Fishing pond pretty but small and no fish lol2)Would I go again? That would be a maybeā€¦3) THE BADā€¦ We did come across some problems, staff is non existent after hrs, we had to help a couple find their cabin, We did enjoyed all the activities but became there were only like 3 cabins rented out at the time , once more people started coming playing anything was difficult especially with our hammockā€¦ The teens didnā€™t want to use the one attached to their cabin and would come use ours, we didnā€™t want to be rude so we just didnā€™t say anything to themā€¦ Then comes breakfast, I wake up around 9-10 turn on the little stove, put my eggs on the pan, and then some guys start cutting grass, also have no common sense to not go full blast infront of our cabin adding extras seasonings of dirt and grass into our food lolā€¦ LASTLY the reason went from a 5 to 4 starsā€¦ The kayaks were amazing loved it, until the business across the creek told us we couldnā€™t use the kayaks we were on because it didnā€™t belong to Geronimo place we were at, so we had to get off, push them across the creek and had to pick from like 5 other itemsā€¦ Either a weird huge surfboard thing and or 2 seater kayaksā€¦ They really need to upgrade that partā€¦

Was wonderful! Enjoyed the whole experience. The water, the kayaks, all the games, the fire pits. Only thing is you can not leave food out. We had cabin 6 & left food out on our deck & a raccoon climbed up & basically tore up through everything. Canā€™t really complain because weā€™re out in the nature. So we definitely got that nature experience lol.

The cabins do not have a bathroom. Each cabin has an assigned detached bathroom. They are small with no air conditioning! Bring a fan. The cabins also do not have a mirror so if you want to blow dry your hair in the cabin because the bathroom is too hot, be sure to bring a mirror. There is a sink on the front porch for washing dishes. We also used it to brush our teeth so we didnā€™t have to trek to the bathroom every time. The kids had a great time in the creek and the staff was friendly.

We had a wonderful time. The caretakers were very nice, we enjoyed the layout and everything was clean. It was quiet and the weather was just right. Everything we needed was available and it was just a quick run up the road to the store for what we forgot. Well be back for another teepee excursion next year!

Had such a great time! I hosted a girls get together for my teenage daughter and her friends in a Treehouse. It was clean, comfortable and the girls had an absolute blast with so much to do even in the cooler weather. The girls regularly ask when we are going back! Great family fun!

What an enjoyable experience! The getaway cabins exceeded our expectations by far. Everything was decorated very well and had all the luxuries of home. The little ones had a blast roasting marshmallows and playing in the game room at night , and then kayaking and stand up paddle boarding during the day. We cant wait to come back!

We visited with our Bible Study group and there were 15 of us adults and kids. We had 3 getaway Canonsburg. There was something for everyone to do and the resort is not to far from San Antonio if youd like to visit there too. The A/C in the getaway cabin worked great and staff was awesome! Very helpful. There was plenty of pots and utensils for cooking, the wifi worked great and life jackets and kayaks were provided for the creek. We also enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Overall a great place to visit and I highly recommend if your looking for a glamping experience or just need to get away for peace and quiet with family or friends.

I rented out the 4 elevated cabins to share with a group of friends over a long weekend. It was a wonderful experience. The accommodations are beautiful, well maintained, and comfortable. The photos on the website dont really give a sense of the wonderful view of the creek. There were 4 tables with 4 chairs each on the large deck, plus gas grills at each cabin. I brought camp chairs with me, but never unpacked them, because the dock had chairs, the common area had chairs, anywhere I would want to sit was already set up. There was also a hammock and a porch swing in the shade under the cabin. The beds had high thread count sheets and new bedding. The kitchen was small, but well stocked with almost everything I needed to cook. I wish there had been a large mixing bowl. I guess the one from my cabin had disappeared. I noticed that the other cabins did have large mixing bowls. The waterfront activities were fantastic. There was a little shed full of life vests of various sizes, and floaty toys. There were 2 big rope swings, and kayaks for exploring the creek. The cost of the rental is well worth the value. I do plan to rent here again and would recommend it to friends.

  • Review 159 (2018-07-18 - Rating: 4)

Nice place. The amount of available water for activities is actually very small. The water was very low and pretty dirty in some spots...no one is around to take care of the equipment so everything just ends up on the ground.Room was cabin 4. AC was good during the day but at night I woke up very uncomfortable and hot. Bring a portable fan. Bring water.Kids had fun and very easy access to grills and fire pits and hammocks. We will be back but not without preparing better for the heat.Bathrooms are detachedbut close by. Pretty clean but people are pigs.Enjoy, its a nice get away.

We loved everything about our stay. The accommodations were perfect. The on site staff is extremely nice and jumped in immediately when we had an issue. They even went to the store and bought a can opener for us. There are numerous activities on site and our son went out on his kayak several times a day. We will be back this summer.

Amber, her husband,John and Tim were absolutely wonderful. These folks were friendly, helpful and very informative. The staff were exceptional in the way they treated us. We will definitely come back.

This was a great getaway spot. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the other visitors were all friendly as well. You may hear a train or two pass by during the night, but it is off in the distance so it shouldnā€™t disrupt sleep too terribly. Iā€™d absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed in a teepee and had a wonderful time! The teepee and bathroom were both clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the pond outside our door and the river. The area is well shaded and very relaxing outside the teepee as well as at the river. Our girls loved the rope swings at the river, the game room and the sand volleyball area. They tried kayaking and paddle boarding and found that they could do both well. We slept great, the beds were comfortable, the air temp was nice and the teepee stays dark if you prefer to sleep a little late. We would love to visit again!

  • Review 165 (2022-11-22 - Rating: 5)

Geronimo Creek was a wonderful place for the weekend. One thing to know that is not clear on the site is that the bathrooms are not attached to any on the teepees. Each does have its own private bathroom which are very nice, but they are not attached. I canā€™t wait to go back in the summer so I can swim in the pond and the river.

  • Review 166 (2022-09-15 - Rating: 5)

We came for a big family vacation, we only did 3 days and the family all said they would love to come back. We stayed in both a tree house and a teepee, the kids (16y and over) loved having the teepee to hang out in, we loved the tree house because us was next to the creek and had full kitchen/bath. The trees make the lawn chairs sticky so anything outside to hang dry is a no go, we couldnā€™t figure out if they had just local tv so we only used Netflix. The creek was great, kayaks and paddle boards were a hit. I would definitely recommend a stay with this place. Beds were comfortable, towels and shower were great. Walmart or HEB were 20 mins away, dollar general 5 mins down the road. Lots of signs about flooding but we had no rain during our stay so canā€™t tell you anything about that.CONS, some of the smart tvs are older and didnā€™t have the option to add apps (Disney+) ESPN, not a deal breaker but bring a fire stick if you are wanting specific apps to watch. I wish there was a store for firewood, and grill, maybe a few loaner items like casserole dishes or mixer. And a laundry facility would have been perfect.

Everything was amazing customer service was a 10 on-site and over the phone. We loved it, we only got to stay 1 night b/c they were booked up but it was very fun. We stayed in Teepee #1 Bathroom #1 it was cool enough to sleep with the AC at night, the bathroom was extremely nice. 5 star stay.

Our family stayed 5 days, 4 nights at Geronimo Creek, and our kids did not want to leave!! Communication by email once we arrived and had questions or concerns prompted fast responses and resolutions. Property management visits daily and was very willing to visit and make sure everything was good. The cabin was clean, cool, and fully stocked. I only suggest you bring cast iron to use on the grill if you want to cook more than one thing at a time since the cook top is a single electric coil. The incinerating toilet was a little intimidating, but worked fine when used as directed. The property was well kept and the kyaks/paddleboards/rope swings were more available than we expected, everyone showed common courtesy and we had a wonderful time. Cant wait to go back!!!
