This is the second year in a row staying with them. The properties are nothing less than immaculate. The all-around environment makes you feel like youre at a home away from home. They constantly send you text messages and keep in touch reminding you that they are there at your service. The scenery and River access areas are so beautiful. We will be returning every single year and well continue to stay at a new house every visit.

This area was great. We went in the off season and water is low so we couldn’t float the river but there are plenty of holes. There were 17 of us. The bnb we stayed in had a great kitchen, dining room, 2 outside extra rooms with full bath and a bathroom for the pool. The pool was awesome. Picnic tables bbq and fire pit. The view was great. Neighbors weren’t on top of us. Walking distance to the river. We found a great hole right down the road. Next day went to Neil’s and found another great place. Not so much algae. But that’s a river flow issue. Store employees at flip flop were super friendly. All in all great time. My camera broke so no pics but google has that covered.

We visited for the Women on The Frio event and had a great time. The cabin (#20) exceeded our expectations! It was clean and included towels and toilet paper for all.Accidentally left behind a personal item that was found by the cleaning team, and the staff was quick to contact us and offer to mail it back.Planning to return with my family this summer 😊

We stayed at the Home called Three Forks In the Comanche Crossing neighborhood. Great location! Staff at the resort office in maintenance were very helpful and attentive. The home itself wasn’t a good size piece of property they had a grill, l-shaped porch for plenty of room for laying out all those wet towels, And horseshoes. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the items you think you would need, The only thing we brought was a fry daddy. All three bedrooms were a nice size! The front bedroom with the two full-size beds, cooled off extremely well with the AC window unit in there, I actually woke my son up one morning and he had a hoodie on. The rest of the Main part of the Home called off very well. The people that were sleeping out in the living room on the futons said it was nice and cool. Unfortunately, the two main bedrooms with the queen size beds in them. Those rooms did not cool off. We ended up buying an extra box fan, That means we had the ceiling fan going, The standup fan going In the box fan going. The last night we were there, I decided to wash a few towels, The washer sensor was broke and water went everywhere. As soon as I informed the office they sent maintenance over, he was unable to fix the washer that day, but did take our soaking wet towels, and had them dried and cleaned up the mess in the laundry room. The Heating element in the oven seems to be off a bit, We burned breakfast both mornings we use the oven. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

It was our first time going to Frio. We were excited and our expectations were definitely met. The cabins were clean, the kitchen was stocked with the essentials and the atmosphere was great! We didnt encounter any problems. There were plenty of spaces by the river and we felt safe during our stay. I would highly recommend Frío Country Resort.

Can’t wait to get here. We have a pop-up camper we’re taking my handicap father on a grand adventure starting on the Frio River. We’re so lucky to get a reservation at such a nice place June 1st can’t get here soon enough. Most places turn there noses up to a pop-up. Or don’t have a spot available. We had the three forks cabin and it was amazing. It was quiet and secluded but we had 2 different river access points that were less than 10 mins away. Had a great trip!

Everything was amazing. Plan on returning. Our trip was for 3 nights and 4 days but after being there and enjoying ourselves we decided to stay an extra night.. I had alittle issue with the refrigerator not cooling quick enough but got a quick response from management apparently its been an issue with all the rentals. If u put alot stuff in thats hot like sodas it takes a good while to cool. So I plan next time to take everything already cold. Other than that it was totally amazing. Plenty of room and comfortable seating for my family and guest.

Very friendly service, and extremely quick. My family and I drove all the way from the far east side of San Antonio to pay for the house that we are going to be staying at this summer, and the lady behind the desk at their new location (about 100 yards down the street, past the bridge with the tree in the middle of it...regulars will know where Im talking about) was very nice and didnt make us wait. The new location is also very clean and new, and I cant wait to see the finished product once all the remodeling is done. My family and I are really looking forward to our vacation this summer, and if our experience with the front office is a precursor to our vacation, it is going to be a great one! 5 Stars for excellent, speedy service in a very clean environment. Highly recommended for families.

This was a family vacation with 3 grandchildren and parents. I would definitely stay here again! The owners were very nice and accommodating. It was an easy short walk to the river for two grandparents in their 60s with not such great knees. They also had golf carts available to rent if you want. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the pool.

Ive always had a great experience during my stays. Though I changed jobs a couple of years ago and had to cut back on my trips to the Frio, Ive always stayed with Frio County Resorts in Beach Clubs 1-4. Ive stayed in them all at one time or another. Perfectly equipped for all your needs and just a few yards from the river. Rope swing and a waist deep, for some, swimming hole. The pool is always clean year round and ready for occupants to enjoy. Ive stayed all throughout the year and its a great time to spend in nature and with family/friends. I highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

We love the River!! Been going since we were small with our parents now taking our children and our grandchildren. Weve been staying at the cowboy riviera cabins and we Love them. Perfect with a swimming pool in front and walking distance to the river. Cant wait to go back!! ❤️❤️❤️HAPPY FLOATING

My family and I have stayed at Frio Country Resort for 6 years in a row now. They have a very clean facility. We have rented cabins, houses & even brought our camper and stayed in the RV section. The people are always very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, they have the most beautiful stretch of river that runs right through their property. Great for sitting and relaxing, watching fellow tubers float by and watching kids young & old enjoy flying off the rope swing into the perfect swimming hole! Even at its busiest, it always feels like the river is not overcrowded and there are plenty of great spots to enjoy your own piece of Gods country. We can not wait to go back this Summer!

From the moment you arrive it is truly heaven!! The staff exceeds all expectations. Every time I had to call for whatever the reason before our arrival everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. I grew up going to the Frio. I had not been back in some time. These past 3 years that we’ve been going every memorial weekend have been the best. Love showing my daughter where I grew up having the best summers with y’all. See y’all in May!!

Outlaw Getaway is an incredible place to stay, especially if you have a large family or several families that are wanting to all stay together. It has a huge kitchen and family room area and lots and lots of outdoor space. It has a great pool and it is back in the middle of nowhere, so it feels like you are far away, but really only 10 minutes up to River Road. It has an outdoor kitchen, fridge and bathroom. It is also great if you have anyone in a wheel chair because they have lots of room to move around, and all areas are options for them. I would highly recommend this beautiful place, and would definitely stay there again. I am a BIG FAN!!!!

Updated review from a year ago. I have to say how amazing the customer service is here. I have stayed at all 3 big resorts in Concan and Frio County exceeds expectations. Cassandra works in the office she is so smart and fast with anything that comes up. Dennis the maintenance man is on top of his game with any repairs I needed. I stayed at the Cypress Villas for 3 months and was literally in heaven. The main property at the office is very clean and well kept. Reach out to me for any cabin recommendations ! We have been coming to this place for years with our camper because of the rope swing, but this year some people supposedly got hurt and they cut the rope swing down. It is gated and somewhat secluded and quiet. The staff are all super nice and the new manager at the frio country store is awesome.

I absolutely loved our stay here!! There is not anything they can do about the river level but even with it on the lower side, we had a great time with our friends. Cabins were clean, A/C worked great, area was picked up around the site, trash was emptied regularly, staff was friendly and answered all questions. Looking forward to staying here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to hang out on the Frio!

Perfect!!!There were 4 of us and we had a cabin right by the pool, and easy walking to the river. The water was down, but we enjoyed just sitting in the river (days later, it flooded, but obviously no one has control over that!!!), and it was great to have the pool (most other cabins in the area do not). A washer/dryer was not a requirement for us for a weekend stay, but it sure was nice to have the dryer. Will definitely stay here again. Just wish it wasnt such a long drive from Dallas!

Id almost give them a 5 star, just wish they had a laundry mat. Thats my only complaint. Other than that, this place is great. We stay there every labor day. Always clean and people are always nice. Easy access to the river. We stay in the RV park, but friends have stayed in the cabins. The cabins have always been clean.

We always enjoy staying at Frio Country. Cabin #6 was a great fit for us. We had 9 people total and had plenty of room for everyone. Walking distance to the river, which gave us plenty of relax time by the water. Great overall experience, we will definitely go back and stay there again.

We have been staying at Frio Country now for 25+ years! Our two children are now grown with children of their own...and we have made it our family tradition to meet with our lived ones and even extended family members . We will someday write a book sharing all of our adventures including the year we were there for the flood and awaken to the river being on all sides of our cabin with coke and ice machines floating past! It is definitely our happy place in this crazy, busy life! No phone signals!!! LOVE it!

My family and I have rented from Frio Country for 10 years now. From year 1 to just this July, its been an awesome experience. The Staff has alway been hospitable and greets you with a smile. From the Beach club to the Cowboy Hilton, never a disappointment. Great cabins/house, always clean and definitely the best spot on the Frio River. Both rentals are less than a minute walk to the river. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, GREAT TIMES!

We all know this is a great location during the season but off season is also great. We were part of a group of 120 high school athletes in the area for a tournament. The athletes enjoy an Olympic like village with shared experiences that make for a memorable weekend. The facilities only look rustic. The beds are comfortable, the kitchens functional, the living rooms worth living. The view is always changing and just beautiful.

We always love our getaway to Concan and staying at the Rio Nice Lodge! There was plenty of room for our group which was 8 adults and 4 children. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators and a big island and table. Having morning coffee on the front porch is awesome and sometimes you see some deer! It’s a short drive to the river at Frio Country or Seven Bluff! The grand size pool and spa, surrounded by a nice patio in the back, are awesome for an evening swim and there is a wade-in shallow area for the kids to play! Frio country personnel staff are a friendly group too!

Great cabin. River was perfect and the pools were clean and inviting. Towels have to be rented and that wasn’t real clear on the website. Bring your own ! And pack whatever food you need because stores are few and far, as well as crowded and pricey. Will definitely return.

This summer will be our 3 time staying in this wonderful house. Very close to the river to get dropped off to float and after that we head to the house to play volleyball in the pool. :) Lots of fun, relaxing times at this house! And lots of beds for everyone to sleep on. Highly recommend.

Ive stayed here many times and the property and location on the Frio is very nice. The cabins were clean and well maintained for a rustic river cabin. The only downside for this trip is they have started allowing day use in a part of the property and it has created more traffic and more people on the river around the property. They have made attempts to manage access with wrist bands, but it was completely unenforced. That was a disappointment.

It was very nice for a family getaway for 16 people. There is no cellular service unless you have AT&T so for the most part we were disconnected and that was actually refreshing. We stayed in a nice cabin home with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. We were very close to wildlife, and the crystal clear Frio River. We were also close to a couple of state parks and we all got to do some hiking. We grilled in the pit provided and really enjoyed the fire pit and making smores! An overall wonderful family experience!

I had a travel contract in Uvalde. I was worried because I couldnt find housing. Then I found Frio Country Resort and they allowed me to stay there for the full 3 months. The maintenance man, Dennis, was wonderful and checked on me often which I appreciate as a traveling single female and was more than willing to help me with anything he could. Every time I went in the store all the staff was pleasant. Its in a beautiful location and I really enjoyed waking up every morning to the sound of the river flowing and be able to drink coffee on the river banks on the weekends. The cabins are cute and clean and stocked with everything you need for short or long term stay.

We just stayed at The Frio Country Resort for the first time and loved it!The cabin we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, had cable TV, reliable wifi and was a short stroll to the Frio River. The park is located on a beautiful stretch of the river, well maintained and professionally managed.Speaking of the Frio...it is flowing great and Frio Country Resort is in the perfect location!The most popular float trip seemed to be from 7 Bluffs to Frio Country. You can also put in at Frio Country and get out at the next crossing if you want to go on a shorter trip.The Frio Country staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend calling them if youre looking for a great place to stay on the Frio River!

Nancy and I had a wonderful time there. This was her first time at Frio Country or anywhere in the Hill Country for that matter. Everyone there is so nice, polite and respectful. They just make it so warm and peaceful to be there, even in the winter. We had a wonderful 2 story house just for the two of us, only steps away from the Frio River. Everything you need is there. All you have to do is show up with food, drinks, etc. And if you forget anything, they will have it at the store. We had a wonderful firepit out front which we truly enjoyed. I just spoke with Dennis today, hes one of the employees there. It was like we were best friends. He was really helpful out there. So when we get the next opportunity to get away from the rat race, we will be headed for Frio Country Resort. PERIOD!!!!Chuck & Nancy

This house is amazing! An enormous kitchen perfect for entertaining a large crowd. A TV/family room with a sofa that seated 12 people comfortably. The house consisted of 6 large bedrooms with 2 sets of full/queen size bunk beds. 6 restrooms and private access stairs that led straight down to the river. A deck that included a bbq pit and outside dining for fun and relaxation. Totally worth staying with a large group. An absolute must see!

Ive come here for years. I stayed in cabin Rivera H this year. I really like the cabins at Frio Country. This year the cabin was nice and clean and we really appreciated that. Better than ever!One thing I DONT Like is having to pay a 2 night deposit. I think a 1 night deposit should be enough!! I also think its TOO MUCH TO EXPECT to be paid in full 60 days prayer to arrival!!!!! Usually you pay for stays when you check out.

An absolute must try.The home we stayed in was absolutely amazing, it truly felt like home. The location of the home was peace and quite with plenty of wildlife. All of the rooms have TVs and there own restrooms which make it nice as well. I strongly recommend if you have an opportunity to rent this home, do it.

This our is our family’s third year staying at the Frio Country Resort and you will not be disappointed. Cabins are fully furnished, from your cooking needs to clean linens for a good nights rest. One recommendation for improvement, larger bbq pits for cabins that sleep 6+ people.

Stayed at Frio Country last year..We got a little cabin for 4, it had everything we needed. These little cabins are hard to get..I was looking for one around the 4th of July and that was a big mistake. If you want a cabin here, then I would suggest booking it 2 or 3 months in advance. I was really wanting to stay at Neils, but there were no cabins left. This place was not too bad. The cabin is right off the river, they have a few aminities, not a bad place to hang out with friends or family. The river only had 1 good spot to swim, that was straight down from our cabin..the water was not too deep..Im 55 the deepest spot was about to my waist. Everywhere else was below your knees or to your ankles. I have kids so that that was good for them. They enjoyed jumping in the water from the rope that was hanging off the tree, they enjoyed movie night, and BBQing they had a blast. I am glad we got a cabin here and am glad to say we had a great time.

This place is amazing! We stayed in cabin 5 and it was very nice and very comfortable. Just a short walk from the river, a few cabins down you could see the water, so pretty, lots of pretty deer around. The customer service was great! I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at frio country club for a wedding that was held there in August 2016. Wedding was beautiful and tons of fun! Cabins were nice size and clean. River front access with nice lounging area. Bed was a little firm for me but some people like that.

Clean, spacious cabins and located very much near the water. Community is gated somewhat secure. Most items are already furnished at the cabin. TV, laundry/dryer machine, A/C, stove, fridge, etc. Not at all loud or noisy. Very family friendly.

Its a great get a way, no cell phone service so be prepared.... Only thing that I would change is the a/c really sucked! We could only have it on 74°, during the day its fine because we really wasnt there! At night it was still about 85° so it was hard to fall asleep and stay asleep especially on those beds, we could all feel the springs! The day time was great though, and we enjoyed seeing the deer in the mornings. Oh and we did see a skunk that got right up on us, so be on the lookout if you go! This was our first time, so next time we know what we need/ dont need and what to expect... Overall an experience we wont forget.

Very well kept grounds. Amazing customer service! I had to call the 24 hour messaging service and was attended to like I was a friend and the person on the other end actually cared about my issue. Come to find out it was a manager that was on call. I will come back. Great access to the river and close to shops. Stayed at RV site.

Had a wonderful long weekend stay in a nice cozy one bed room cabin with extra bunk beds. Plenty of space. The cabin was clean and well furnished. Friendly and helpful staff on site and in office. I would definitely go back! 👍

This place is awesome. I love that they have the sewage drain right on the site. They also have WiFi . We had a problem with our connection and one of the workers came out late at night to help us. Literally, went above and beyond. They only draw back would be that there are no fire pits on the RV sites. That was a big disappointment the first time we stayed but we have been back several times and have learned to bring our own. BUT to get one put in would really be an upgrade!!!

They have accommodations to fit any size group, from an intimate party of 2 to a large group. Everything you need for a great Frio experience is at your fingertips within Frio Country Resort, the store has all your river needs, tubes, shuttles, ice, snacks, cute clothes, hats, sodas, and all the fixins for Smores. The cabins are comfortable and have all necessities in the kitchen and restrooms. If something is missing or needs attention they are prompt and helpful! We love the Frio Country Resort Family!

We reserve an RV site. The area is well kept. Garbage is taken care of every day. Only one suggestion is to get some garbage cans that the critters cant get into. Otherwise everything was great.

Bit farther than the normal river trip and no Wifi, but when your in country as beautiful and fun as Frio Country Resort is, who cares. Great place, perfectly reasonable accommodations and very clean and close to the Frio River

My favorite place to go! Absolutely love it. Just make sure the river is flowing or be prepared to walk. Always good to bring paddles,cooler,and u can rent or have ur own tubes,they do have a air compressor to air up ur tubes. Buy ur beer before getting their cause its dry. Usually very busy on Saturdays. U can rent cabins but usually have to reserve way out in advance. To tube,shuttle its like 20.00 p/p. No bottles,use trash bags they supply to keep litter picked up. Rope swings,water falls,and tons of fun and sun! Usually takes 2-4hrs to tube depending on which place u shuttle to!

Airbnb home had a pool so it made up the river being dried out.The house was fantastic.I am sure after some good rain itll be wonderful once again to tube out there.The stores were great but try to get everything you need at Uvalde Walmart or HEB before reaching your destination.

We stayed at the Arrowhead vacation home from August 22nd to August 25th. Overall the stay was good with a couple of minor issues.First, and probably the most important... the front corner of the porch closest to the pool that had been recently polished. The area became very slippery with people going in and out of the pool area. We had 3 people from our party slip and fall in that same spot. My fall resulted in pretty severe bruising to my knee, elbow, and ribs. Im still questioning whether one of them might be broken. After that we put down several towels over that area to keep anyone else (especially a child) from falling and injuring themselves. The floors on the inside of the home are also concrete and became very slippery as well. I was concerned the entire time about one of the kids falling and hitting their head. I hope management will see this and puts some mats down to prevent future guest from getting injured.The second issue was that the house looks much bigger in the pictures than it actually is. It wasnt inconveniently small, but definitely not as large as the pictures made it seem. Each bedroom was a good size so that made up for it.Lastly, we had some issues with the stove in the home. It didnt seem to get hot enough to cook effectively. Someone mentioned that the element on the stove would shut off it was bumped and thats what kept happening to us. I didnt cook on the stove so Im not real sure but those who did cook on it all said the same thing.We would considering staying here again if the issues with the house were corrected.
