The home is beautiful and so well done. The hot tub is a perfect way to both start and end your day. There is plenty of space throughout the home to spend hours playing board games. There is also enough space to gather together inside or outside sitting around the fire fit. The home is so well stocked and the owners have done such a wonderful job thinking of everything. There was really great communication from the homeowners! Probably the best place I have stayed in and around Broken Bow. Definitely staying here again!

Visited this cabin for my birthday with my husband, two teenagers, and a preteen. The cabin has a great downstairs setup for separation and an inviting upstairs living and kitchen area for family time. There are multiple areas for enjoying nature and the fresh outdoor air. The cabin was clean, and the fireplace was cozy for the cool mornings. The sauna is amazing and the giant firepit provided my family with smore making memories.We will definitely visit again and stay longer. The grocery stores, tourist centers, and lakes are close by for those looking. If you want to unplug, it is awesome for writers like me!

I have stayed in many short term vacation rentals across the country. Matts home stands out in so many ways. First, the entire home is beautiful and comfortable! The setting is lovely, offering wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy and explore. The kitchen is amazing and equipped with everything we needed! I have never stayed at a property with a kitchen this well equipped. I look forward to staying there again sometime! This house is truly exceptional!

This is the best airbnb I have ever stayed at. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is amazing -- so well stocked with everything you will need and high quality equipment. This property is great for large groups or families with lots of spaces to be together and also spaces for privacy and alone time. There is a basketball court and an amazing deck out back with beautiful views. The house is close to so many wonderful places to explore, but if you stayed the entire time at the property, you will have a wonderful time.

I have been to Broken Bow several times and absolutely love coming here! The Dark Horse Compound is a perfect getaway. You will notice right away that a lot of thought went into the design and layout, all to provide a relaxing retreat. The facility is conveniently located near many of Beavers Bend State Parks main attractions making it an ideal location. I should also mention it is just hop skip and jump away from excellent trout fishing, either at the stream, river, or lake. I have always been drawn to the serenity of the stream fishing myself though. We have had many great memories made as a family here in Broken Bow. I truly can’t say enough about being here and you will enjoy your stay at the Dark Horse Compound.

You could not ask for a more perfect place to stay in the Broken Bow area. Jamie and Matt are the most hospitable and kind couple. The house and property are gorgeous and well-kept. You won’t want to leave!
