What a great find! We stayed in the Prickly Pear cabin which was spotless and comfortable. Ive never been anyplace so dark and quiet at night. The beds so tall you just about need a step ladder to get up on it but once youre there its super comfortable. Marty was a great host friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. -

Amazingness is in the pictures. We came here at end of may, got troubled as thereβs a leak from the tent from summer sudden rain but 1h later, we saw a breathtaking double rainbow. I saw that in listing reviews of course, but didnβt expect to see this at all! I feel safe in this area, multiple cabins around. and here is fully equipped with modern shower, restroom And cooking devices! Shout out to our host! -

Beautiful and well kept cabins! I stayed in the Prickly Pear Cabin which was a lovely and comfortable cabin that was obviously painstakingly built and is carefully maintained. We rented the cabin through Airbnb and we had a great stay. On the property there are lovely amenities including a Geode hunting area! Also, I saw the most stunning star filled night sky from the Cottonwood Creek property! The Cottonwood Creek property is a short drive from Alpine, Texas. I highly recommend that anyone who wants a relaxing and wonderful time in the desert to stay at these lovely cabins! -

WOW. What an amazing place and host. By happenstance I ended up getting connected with Marty (the owner) as I was passing through town on my way to Big Bend National Park and people like Marty are the reason I love to travel. Marty let me park my travel trailer RV on his property as I went into the park to explore. I could tell Marty was a genuine, professional, and kind person the second I met him and he even recommended a great trail in the park that I did the first thing I got into Big Bend. After a day of hiking, I came back and we ended up sharing stories on his front porch. To attest to how amazing of a host Marty is, he offered up one of his beautiful hand-built cabins for me to stay in for completely free that evening so that I didnt have to sleep out in the cold in my trailer. ON TOP OF THAT, I woke up the next morning to a delicious bowl of biscuits & gravy and a bag of home-made beef jerky for the road. The wifi on the property was great. I was able to seamlessly conduct video conferences, surf the internet all day, and didnt miss a step while working remotely.I dont have enough great things to say about Marty and this experience. I would highly recommend staying here and definitely take some time to hang out with Marty and trade stories if you can!P.S..... the stars were some of the most breathtaking Ive ever seen while traveling. Have your camera ready! 10/10 -

Beautiful place with lots of history! The owner of the property is well versed with information about he property and the surrounding area. The cabin was cozy and easily sleeps 4 to 6 people. The cabin wasnt even the best part! In the evening the owner of the property feeds the local deer and youre invited to come hang out with the local fauna. And they are so beautiful!!! Theres also a trail leading from the cabin where you can dig up geodes to take home as souvenirs! Great experience. Highly recommended. -

Very nice cabins, run by people who clearly care! Very pretty property with a lot of interesting plant life and fun animal life to see. Deer come up and eat out of the owners hands! The owner is also very knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Definitely a nice little place to get away π -

Secluded, wonderful night sky views and easy to find. If youre looking for rustic, this is the place. Only wish the bed was a bit firmer is all. -
