I love this resort! The people are so helpful and friendly ~ RV sites and cabins well maintained ~ laundry, heated pool, business center ~ beautiful views and easy access to the beach ⛱️ 😎 and some amazing shell collecting! This is my 2nd multiple-day stay in the cabins... so relaxing and refreshing here, its perfect for a retreat from the chaos of the world 🌎 ✨️ ~ I even took a watercolor painting class, free in the GORGEOUS Event Venue upper level 🩴🎏🦋 I HIGHLY recommend this for your next escape to the Texas coast! -

Very nice and clean RV resort. Staff is very friendly and park is very quiet. Nice pool and clean showers. I would add that there is a general store and bar on sight, but no grill/hot food as listed on the website (ands in some reviews). -

Spent Christmas at Blue Water RV Resort. Beautiful views - sunrises and sunsets! Easy access to the beach. I have never seen so many shells on any beach! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Trash is picked up daily. The bar & grill is fabulous!! We were in B29, pull thru. We will definitely be back!! -

We rented purple cabin. We were very pleasantly surprised at the cute welcome basket with coffee snacks, ect.. bathroom had nice towels and shampoo, conditioner, soaps. The kitchen area had mini fridge, coffer maker, microwave as stated on site but also had plates, dish soap, silverware and cups. Beds were very comfortable as well as the plush 4 pillows per bed. We came to the restaurant and had fantastic brunch. The lady that checked us in at customer service was beyond helpful in making sure we knew if we needed anything to just let her know. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. ABSOLUTELY WOULD GIVE 10 STARS AND WILL BE RETURNING ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ -

Blue Water RV Resort is our favorite destination. The staff is helpful, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The pool, laundry room, and community spaces are always clean and well kept. The park is manicured and trash free. The accessibility to the beach, canal fishing, and boat launches is wonderful. I love the remoteness of the park and that it’s not in the hustle and bustle of Surfside or Galveston, but both are easy to drive to if you want to go out to eat, go to a grocery store, or need medical help. I wish we could go more often than we do, but we make it down there when we can! -

Location was great just a short walk to the beach or they have golf carts you can rent. Facilities were clean and up to date. Pool was great and clean! My kids loved the activities and it being Halloween they had lots of activities including trick or treating for the kids -

We were first-time visitors. Upon arrival, the main office was closed, but they have this cool lighthouse mailbox that contains all the instructions you need for your stay. The park is clean and quiet. I dont know if it was due to the off-season or that its always this way because it is an out of the way park. Everyone was friendly, including the staff. They will even come and pick up your trash if you put it out. Ants were a big problem for us, but being from Central Texas, we were prepared for the bugs. The beach is nearby and clean. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. During your stay, you receive texts from Blue Water about all the activities going on at the park. The internet is very fast with no lag, so we were able to stream with no issues. We even noticed that there were either security personnel or police that would drive through almost daily. -

We loved the campground and location to the beach. Staff was very friendly. We stayed in our camper but rented a cabin for my adult sons. Cabin is tiny but worked to give them a place to sleep and shower. -

Another great weekend at Blue Water! Stayed in Site 63C, Sat-Mon, canal site with a pier. Our first time back since the restaurant re-opened. Food was awesome and we love having that (and the bar) as an option. Attendant leading us to our site was a nice surprise. As always, staff were super nice and accommodating. Restrooms were clean, as usual. With very little wind forecasted, brought plenty of mosquito spray and needed it….it’s the Texas coast, better keep some handy! Late checkout was no issue. Blue Water is our go-to on the coast! -

Great staff and awesome location with bay access for my boat. Private boat ramp and a couple of docks behind the RV spaces near the far end to keep my boat in the water during my stay. Pub food and limited bar on site. Pool, laundry, restrooms, and showers, all of which were clean and maintained. -

Bit further away from Galveston the. Anticipated. Not fan of the toll bridge between them. RV resort is beautiful and super nice. Beach is just across the road. All in all very nice. -

As a one time RV Manager at Wuality RV resorts , I can tell you that I was very impressed. People go on vacation to get away . They want service and they should get it . I was very impressed by the staff . Management is on top of the game here . They took their time to go out of the way to make the stay relaxing and pleasant . Not knowing I had managed this type of resort before . They treat all guest with respect they get an A+ for service and cleanliness . The views of Surf Side Beach in the morning are awesome -

This lovely place offers fantastic amenities and the staff is incredibly accommodating. The restaurant boasts a wide array of delectable choices, and the food was absolutely exquisite. Additionally, the beach just across the street provides stunning views and a serene, uncrowded environment. The accommodation itself is well-kept and provides beautiful vistas. I cannot wait to return to this fantastic place! -

Great Place to stay. You can go fishing right behind your RV. Staff was also very friendly. We went the week after the hurricane. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up the place and getting it back into order. Also, the beach is just across the street from you which was another bonus. -

We love coming here. The view from their deck with a glass of wine is absolutely beautiful. The sites are level and clean. If you are coming for the beach, forget it. Full of seaweed and trash from the tides. Wouldnt take my children there. Mosquitoes were an issue in the grass at our site. We will be back but will drive to a cleaner beach. -
Review 17 (2024-06-11 - Rating: 5)
This place is amazing whether you want to be near the beach access, canal fishing, premier camp sites, etc. they have it all. The pool was so refreshing after a long day at the beach I was pleasantly surprised! They have everything you need if your forgot or need anything… from ice, beer and wine, ice cream, golf carts, you name it. It’s a gated community so everyone here is supposed to be here and everyone is so respectful of each other! We will be back again!! -

This newish RV resort was a very pleasant find. The location on a salt marsh and is quite beautiful. It is located outside of town and has a very natural feel with no crowds. At the end of the park, there is a long sandy trail out to a bird rookery that is great for a hike. If you get a premium spot, be prepared for the fact that they are very tight when you put out slides. The one big drawback… mosquitoes. Come prepared with bug spray and be sure you have screens if you open windows. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. -

This place is awesome and low key. If your looking for a chill spot, close to the beach that isnt crowded, this is it. Bar is good and staff is friendly. The pool water is sketchy, but hey, theres an ocean across the street. I do wish the golf cart rentals were cheaper. -

I can not say enough good things about this RV resort. You can see the sunrises and the sunsets here. THEY areGORGEOUS. Its laid back, quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the Spoonville cottage and aptly names as its SUPER super tiny, however what it lacks in space, the view, the cleanliness and even the SUPER sweet staff more than make up for it.They made sure we had everything we needed during our entire stay not just when we checked in. They were super accommodating. We honestly couldnt believe how much care was given into every detail. I normally re-clean each hotel room I stay at, and couldnt find one thing to re-clean, it was sparkling. The pool house, the area, even the beach around our area - they clean up!Then when we misunderstood about the restaurant ( another one is supposed to come soon!) The manager made sure we had all the info we needed to find a place nearby. (There is a food truck open Thurs-Sundays, otherwise its a 15 min drive currently)We already are planning our next trip back and cant wait. -

We had the best weekend here at Bluewater rv resort. Before we even arrived, we had to change our date very last minute and was met with kindness and understanding. Then, as soon as we turn into the resort, was immediately greeted and welcomed that made us feel right at home. I love all of the amenities the resort comes with, as well as the restaurant, which tasted amazing and had awesome service. Great location to the beach, and love the option to rent a golf cart. We definitely will be traveling back here, I highly recommend Bluewater rv resort! -

We just had a 6 day stay here. The location is great. Very close to the beach and every site has a great view whether it’s canal, beach or wetlands side.I called ahead prior to booking to ask about breed restrictions for dogs and was told everybody gets a chance. Prior reviews here mentioned some dog breed issues. We have 2 very large dogs and had 0 issues. The staff and even other campers here are so nice! Communication with the staff was great. Our biggest complaints were the landscaping crew coming in and mowing around dinner time 1 night and the mosquitoes. The landscaping crew being late could have been a fluke and the mosquitoes are an issue on the entire island. Bring bug spray and you should be good! All and all we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back! -

Stayed in a bungalow that was perfectly laid out for our family. Attending a baby shower, the experience was beyond nice it was fantastic. The Rec center was decorated in a beach/ocean theme, the games were original. Well planned & executed.Good memories made that will last for a long time. Will definitely put this place on our go to Again agenda. -

Great place but they need to spray for mosquitoes. They were absolutely terrible. Couldn’t spend any time outside. If it wasn’t for the mosquitoes, this place would be amazing. Please let us know when you get the mosquitoes under control and we will be back -

The resort was very clean. However the mosquitoes were a major problem. We could not hang outside much because we were being bombarded by the mosquitoes. The employees and the facility were both very nice and very accomodating. We shortened our stay because of the mosquito problem we encountered.. -

This is one of our favorite beach destinations. Located between Galveston and Surfside but not really close to either. You have the beach to yourself. Good place to let dog run on the beach, ride mountain bike. Not many people around.. Well stcked little store. About 10 mile drive to Surfside where there are a few beach type restaurants and bars. Make sure you bring mosquito spray, especially after a rain or on calm days. We just spent 4 days, 2 of which saw almost no mosquitos, 2 of which saw loads of them. The beach was always clear of them due to breeze. RV park is very clean and well kept. -

Blue water was a very nice RV park. We have a 42 ft 5th wheel and had plenty of room at our site for it and our pickup. We stayed for a month with our grandchildren. We enjoyed the crafts days and snacks. All the people in the office were helpful and friendly. The pool was very nice. The laundry room was new and clean. They have a little store with groceries and beach wear. The beach was across the street and was great. The bar was open, although the restaurant had closed before we arrived. -

We stayed the last week of July 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed it. This was our second time and we plan to come back at the end of September2023 The beach is just across the road and very accessible we road our golf cart up and down the beach and enjoyed some fishing and sun. This resort is very clean and the people are very nice. I would recommend to anyone that loves the beach. -
Review 31 (2022-05-31 - Rating: 5)
We visited Blue Water RV for the first time over the Memorial Day weekend. We stayed 4 nights on the wetlands side. We had an absolute wonderful stay. The staff was top notch and very friendly. The park is much bigger than I expected. But the staff does a prefect job of keeping it clean. The office/store is very nice and had everything we needed. My kids loved the access to the canal for fishing. The beach access was so nice and even on a holiday weekend it wasnt what I would describe as crowded. The pool and club house are both very nice and clean. The only issue and its not really a big deal, was while in the process of unloading my golf cart from the back of the truck, a staff member stopped and told me to get my truck out of the roadway, then just drove off with no other comments. It was half in the site and half on the road while. He wasnt rude, but it was very obvious what I was doing. Maybe I was unloading in the wrong spot, but he didnt take the time to tell me anything else. I was afraid that was going to set the tone for the rest of the trip but thankfully it was only up from there. I have seen several reviews about the rules, every park we have been to has rules but I never felt like I was being watched or would get in trouble at Blue Water. My only criticism would be the location of the hook ups. They do favor to the front of the site more than most places I have been. My power cord hooks up in the rear of my 5th wheel so I had just enough to reach the pedestal after getting the trailer in a good spot. The sewer hose was pretty far off too, even the guy who helped me park commented that the sewers were in bad spots. I carry 20 of sewer hose and maxed out. So just be aware when your parking. The Sites are big, there was plenty of room for our tow vehicle, my wifes truck and our golf cart. We absolutely loved the park and will be back. It is a beautiful and well cared for faculty. I felt like the staff really does care about their jobs and the park. I highly recommend this park. -

Wed heard wonderful things about Blue Water so thought wed escape the freezing Midwest and try it for a week. Loved it so much we extended a month. Situated right on the Gulf with miles of beach access. Just about every amenity you could want has been thoughtfully covered. We especially love the people who make it run so smoothly: super-friendly office staff, helpful maintenance team, and some amazing folks making everyone feel welcome in the restaurant and bar. Weve already made some great friends here. Will look forward to making Blue Water an annual tradition. -

Amazing crew. Always helpful, and the resort was clean, and if there was any issues calling or texting them for help was super easy. Shame the restaurant people up and left, but the crew got great food trucks in for the weekends. And the Bar tender was great! Will definitely stay again! -
Review 34 (2021-06-10 - Rating: 5)
This is a lovely park, well maintained, clean, looks almost new. The pads are dead level but perhaps a bit close. They help you back in (we had an ocean view site) and thats good because it was a really tight fit that required considerable maneuvering to avoid a palm tree and other parked cars. The Beach is right across a two lane road that isnt very busy. The campground, as you can tell from the map, is long and deep so many people here have or rent golf carts. We spent our money on a front site instead of a cart but that put us a long way from the pool :-).The staff is super nice and helpful. We had never been to this area of the Gulf and were surprised that the beach is brown, the water is brown, and because its way away from other development it doesnt appear that the beach is cleaned very often if at all - there was a significant amount of trash and seaweed. I dont think that campers are littering - most of this looks like it washed ashore. For someone used to the white sand beaches of Florida and most of the east coast this was a bit of a shock. So, the Good News: its a very private and wide open beach. But know that youre a long way from any other resources, restaurants or entertainment. So basically, this is a five star campground but the area and the beach caused it to loose one star in my personal preference system. -

We have loved our stay at Blue Water!!! We arrived the beginning of January and are leaving tomorrow April 1st. Its been a wonderful place to winter and although there isnt much to do in the area, I didnt mind much because the park does a good job of providing activities. My 1st week here I saw that they offered a class on decorating wine glasses and I was hooked! Tina the event coordinator is amazing. She really tries hard to make sure every guest is having a good time and you can tell by the effort she puts into creating crafts for everyone. She always has several crafts, all free, for guests to create and will go out of her way to help you create something...even if its not one of her listed crafts that day. Tina you made my time here at Blue Water wonderful, so thank you very much! As far as grocery shopping, there is not much without driving into Galveston or Lake Jackson. HEB does deliver to your site for only $5 which I think is totally worth it. -
Review 36 (2023-03-31 - Rating: 4)
We stayed for 1 week in the RV park. While the grounds were well maintained, it seemed overpriced for the lack of good amenities. The staff was super friendly at check-in, and every time we went to the office for something. The restaurant was okay. We had burgers, fries, and nachos. They were a lottle stingy on the fries and nacho toppings. We did not like that food and drinks were charged separately. We did get daiquiris, and they were strong, which the hubby loved. The beach across the street is gorgeous, and we could hear the waves crashing where we were parked for the week. -

We’ve had two fabulous stays at this RV park. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the view is spectacular. They have a great set up for kayaks and fishing and the beach is just across the street (walk or golf cart access). Very pet friendly as well. They have a nice pool and clean restrooms/showers. Restaurants are just over the San Luis pass bridge or down the street in surf side but there was also a food truck on site for breakfast/lunch and early dinner. It’s also pretty quiet, not a crazy party scene. I have two teenagers, they spent the entire time crabbing and fishing. Can’t wait to book another stay but next time for longer than just a few nights. Love this place… -

We had a great time at Blue Water RV Resort. There were a couple of things that could have been better. The pool water was a bit murky. The location was a bit further from Galveston than we usually try to be. The toll bridge on the way to town was $2 each way.We stayed in the Purple Heron cottage. It was small for our family of 4. The bunk bed was really wiggly, and we ended up pulling the top mattress off to sleep on the floor. The management told us it was probably time to replace the bed altogether. One of the best parts of this resort was seeing the sunrise over the gulf and the sunset over the bay! Love the big wrap around porch. -
Review 39 (2022-06-25 - Rating: 5)
We stayed a week at Blue Water RV Resort and had an absolute great time! We stayed beach back in side and had views of the beach/ocean. Where to start… well, first we experienced great customer service from the pre trip planning phone calls, they answered all my questions and also emailed when we made our reservation for receipts and answered more questions via email. The same great customer service when we arrived for check in, super friendly and helpful staff. They told us about amenities, possible things we may need over our stay and all kinds of good info. Another staff escorted us via his golf cart to our camp site and was helpful too. We enjoyed the swimming pool, canal pier fishing, on site ice bags, their general store for when I ran out of milk and such. The dog wash and dog run were essential for our 2 pups. Every day that we went to the beach we’d come back, and bathe the dogs in the dog wash to get all the sand out then they’d play, and play and run and run in the dog run. There is a golf cart crossing spot to drive right onto the beach, and on the way back into the resort are fresh water showers for washing the sand off of yourself. About 1.3 miles down the street is a public entrance for the beach where you can drive your car back down across from the RV resort and be within walking distance to go back to your RV if needed from the sand. They had activities and a food truck with amazing smelling burgers (food truck is Fri, Sat & Sun only). -

Just returned from an awesome stay at this resort. That’s still true even though we did not catch any crabs nor fish. Lol. We stayed at a canal site with pier. The staff was awesome and so were are neighbors. The pool had the coldest water I’ve ever experience at this time of the year. It has to be cool down somehow. And cannot believe there were no mosquitoes at night. Will definitely be going back -

We had a great time here. The location is peaceful and beautiful. We loved the Pier in the back. The staff is great. The lady at the front is so nice and welcoming. The pool was nice but needs to be cleaned more often. -

Great rv park. Was a little disappointed the restaurant wasnt open. Unfortunately mosquitos were horrible, not their fault. The sites were super nice and the dog park was very nice as well. The staff was all very friendly. We rented golf carts 2 days as well. -

This place is absolutely beautiful. Whether you are into fishing or just spending time outdoors, the park and surrounding areas are great. The employees were very friendly and made the arrival pleasant. We wanted to change locations to be on the water and they accommodated us with ease and a smile. Restaurant is a great vibe addition to staying here. The pool and recreation “clubhouse” area was done beautifully and we were lucky to have the pool to ourselves our entire 4 day stay. We felt like we were staying at a private resort with the experience Blue Water gave us. Highly recommend! -

My family and I just returned to AR from this resort. This was one of the best experiences weve ever had at an RV park....& weve been all over. The staff was phenomenal. They were very kind and very professional. They had daily activities (crafts, etc.) that my kids thoroughly enjoyed. Ms. Lexy headed up these activities, and my kids loved her. We were relaxed, and had great time in this very clean, very well run park. They strive to take care of the place, and this same effort is put towards their hospitality. We WILL be back at this park in the future....numerous times. -

Enjoyed staying at this resort. Very friendly staff. Grounds well maintained and the restaurant/lounge is a great addition. A walk across the road takes you to the ocean for miles of walking, if one chooses. The pool was refreshing! Will definitely return in near future. -
Review 46 (2020-06-07 - Rating: 4)
Family weekend getaway with our 2 teenagers 15 and 18. We stayed in c18 which is on the canal. I strongly recommend getting a canal site vs a wetlands site if you want to fish. You can fish steps away from your door. The staff is friendly and lead you to your spot and help you back in. There is a nice pool, nature trail through the wetlands, and private beach access large enough to accommodate a golf cart. The park is very clean. We went when every site was filled and the place was still immaculate. The bathhouse and recreation room are both clean and I saw them being cleaned continuously. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. The only thing I would want for them to change would be to add some lights for night fishing. -
Review 47 (2022-10-18 - Rating: 4)
What a great stay. I can’t believe the value to the cost. Very good prices, wonderful staff, nice pool, and a short walk to the beach. This was the best deal so far in our two month long RV trip. The restaurant needs more staff and I hope they sort it out so we can pay for drinks and food on the same bill. The waitstaff, although overworked and short handed, were very friendly and accommodating. Other than that, this was one of our best stops so far. -

Very nice campgrounds. Nice pool hangout. Concrete driveways but very close together. Restaurant was good but took way too long (almost 3 hours for a party of 11 + 3 kids, and never saw our waitress but one time.) -

We have been here several times, we consider it one of the best in the area. With new ownership & manager (Veronica), we have seen lots of improvement,The club house is awesome, they maintain the restrooms, laundry and game room very clean. Nice pool and walking distance from the beach.Dog park with self wash station. My kids love the game room, it has lots of options for them, puzzles, ping pong, movies, foosball table.Main building (office) has a little shop where you can find everything you need.Lots of fun & entertaining activities everyday -

Unexpected closure of grill was a bummer. Did provide food truck. Boats allowed to drive down the canal where we were fishing and took our lines with it. VERY CLEAN! WAS IMPRESSED with the showers and they had entertainment on the deck. Bar was open and margaritas were on point! -
Review 51 (2020-08-26 - Rating: 5)
Stayed here in August with the wife and kiddos right before school started back up. Unfortunately we had to leave a day earlier than planned as they very responsibly shut down the park and asked everyone to leave by Monday afternoon due to Hurricane Marco heading our way.The location is great. Very private, about 40 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Galveston and the seawall. Theres so much empty beach space around here. Just make sure you stock up before you get there (although the on-site store has a lot of amenities and there are smaller stores about 20 minutes away, nearest Wlamart is about 40 minutes away). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, including the ones at the on-site restaurant. They even helped give pointers while backing up the trailer.Pool was sparkling clean and very kid-friendly. Lots of shelf areas and steps in the pool to hang out on. The attendant was checking the filters regularly for debris. The resort itself is very clean and well-kept. Each spot is wide enough to park two cars and includes a picnic table. We had a site facing the canal with a semi-private pier. All the guests I interacted with were friendly and there to have a relaxing time. No big party crowds or anything like that.Had a blast crabbing from there. The resort included info on the types of fish and crab you can catch, how to catch them,, and what the limits are. We caught maybe five crabs big enough to eat, and they went from water to pot in a couple hours. It was cool catching stone crab for the first time -those suckers have massive claws. The sun sets over the canal and rises over the wetlands. Its so relaxing to just sit outside and watch while the kids pull up the crabbing nets. All in all, Id definitely stay here again. -

We had an amazing time at Blue Water resort. The staff were very kind and helpful. The views from the club house were incredible. The restaurant is still not open but Jalie Bs food cart is on site, and the food was delicious. The kids had a blast and also loved the daily activities that the staff put together for the campground residents. This is our new favorite place to visit at the coast, we will definitely be back. -

Best RV resort I have stayed at by the beach! Love the amenities like the clean showers & restrooms right above the pool area as well as the doggie park and trails. Just a walk over to the beach or just relax by the bayside at your campsite. They recently opened up a restaurant and while I love the idea I have to admit the food wasn’t all that great. I had to send my original order back and still wasn’t satisfied with my second choice. Hopefully they work out the kinks by the time we come back. -
Review 54 (2022-07-24 - Rating: 4)
We stayed during the off season (early Feb) and the weather was a little chilly due to the strong breeze coming off the water. We thought the park was well taken care of and had some good amenities. I did find it a little weird that you had to go all the way down to the very end of the park to turn around. This just seemed like you were opened up for more potential for a kid to dart out in from of you. Given the lay of the land, there really isnt much they could have done different with that, so just take it slow and beware. The canal was nice for fishing although I only caught 2 fish (I didnt have high expectations). The park was still very busythat weekend, even for the time of year. They had a little two man band show one after noon and we really enjoyed that. They had a RV detailing service company going around detailing RVs. This was an outside company that they allowed to come in. The prices were fair so we did have our rig wash/waxed. The park is a little bit of a pain to get to and there isnt much around. But sometimes you just need to get away and thats exactly what you need, no outside distractions. -

What a wonderful experience! Blue Water helped us host an RV rally and the staff was amazing. Georgia always had solution. Tina had fun activities planned. The park is a unique site with really nice amenities. Right across the road from the beach in a non-congested area. -

Updated review for June 2024-This is such a beautiful place to stay! The rv sítes are level and well maintained. Great place to bring your family with fishing, beach access and a pool area. They now rent golf carts which is a huge plus! A few cabins also available to rent. We did not see any mosquitoes while we were here. A lot of shells on the beach though most were broken because of TS Alberto. We stayed here for 2 nights in June (2020). Everything is immaculately well kept and front office staff were all courteous and helpful. Noise from other campers was not an issue - everyone was friendly while respectful of personal space. My only complaints are with the WiFi- couldn’t get internet access until our last day there despite our calls to the front office and cable tv - horrible reception. Since we were there to unplug neither was a huge issue but it could be a problem for other campers. -

This was our second stay at Bluewater. We stayed from January 1, 2023 to March 1, 2023 in our 43 ft Newmar motorhome, and enjoyed every minute. The park is very clean and beautiful. The ocean is a quick walk away, and the canal is right along the park drive. The wildlife is fun to watch, especially the pelicans. The restaurant on site is nice and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed crafts with Tina, (the activities coordinator) on Thurs-Sat, and by the time I left my RV was decorated with all kinds of cute crafts we did. Tina made sure everyone got the help they needed, so everyone had cute and useful pieces to take home. Tina even offered a watercolor class with an accomplished artist! Everyone was so surprised at how well they could paint. My husband enjoyed the fishing off the Discovery Trail at the end of the park. We cooked a couple of red fish he caught that were delicious. We had fun playing games and cards that Tina arranged with other couples, and we made some treasured friends. Our friends from Arkansas came down for a week, loved it, and plan to return with their grandchildren. Another friend came to visit and stayed in one of the cute little cottages. She loved it. I could go on and on about the fun we had at Bluewater. It’s our favorite RV park!c Thank you, Tina and staff, for making our stay so special! -

We had a great time! I was impressed with how things are run here. No complaints. We felt safe in this location. There is a gate at the entrance for all but a handful of spots closest to the ocean, trash pick up, and a super friendly staff. They have a little store and restaurant. We brought our dog. There are little stickers in grass and mosquitos like everywhere else in galveston. Bring a pup brush and bug spray. We enjoyed the pool and fishing our days away. There are rules to keep everyones experience a postitive one. We loved it! We will be back!🩵🩷🩵 -

Hello, my husband and I really enjoyed this place. We stayed in an rv site for 4 days. Everything was great. Plenty of washers and dryers, didnt have to worry about trash not being picked up. We loved the close beach access, we spent alot of time there, also learning to kayak was fun on the canal. The price was great for renting a kayak. Overall really nice place. -

Another place we rode to just to ride a little away from the main rally areas. Unfortunately, their bartender called in sick, so they had to close early, but was super nice and a great view. We had.one drink and moved along. -

I give this place 11 stars, which is better. For 5 weeks we loved this park harder than a goat butts a stump. Wonderful people, property and food. They keep the place perfectly clean. Sparkling pool and right across the road to the beach. -

Nice clean RV Park. Front office people are friendly and helpful. Workampers are unsociable, basically ignore you or are quite rude. Very walkable and the wonderful beach is just across the street. We were on the wetlands side and enjoyed the bird watching. Also the crabbing was great. -

Mike and Becky from Canada. We came to Texas without our trailer to find a Winter home when I retire. We stoped into Bluewater after travelling to Port A we looked at a lot of Parks but we we loved the Bluewater. We talked to Jackie at the office and she helped arranged for us to spend the night in one of the cabins. We canceled are hotel in Galveston and stayed the night best move ever. Jackie is a huge asset to this park!!!!! This is the place we will be spending the winter it is perfect .If I could give it 10 stars I would . We will be coming back. -

Very nice RV resort with all the quality upgrades. In addition, the on site restaurant had very good food reasonably priced. In my opinion, they put the on site sewage drains too far to the front and, consequently, if you dont have an extension for the standard drain lines you need to pull forward in order to make the match. -
Review 66 (2022-06-27 - Rating: 5)
Just finished our stay here. We booked a semi-private pier area. I loved the quiet peaceful atmosphere and the ability to just fish out the back of our RV spot. Crabs, crabs, crabs everywhere....my son enjoyed them! Its gated and the staff are on top of keeping the resort clean/tidy. We got to use the pool and walk some trails and it was beautiful. I love that you can literally walk across the (not at all busy road) to the beach and practically have the beach to yourself!! If you feel inclined, you can also drive on the beach. Also theres an area to wash off your feet/body immediately after coming back across the road onto the RV resort property. If you have a boat they have a private boat slip...we didnt utilize it this go around but maybe next time😉. This RV resort is AWAY from all the tourist trap crazy busy areas of Galveston/Jamaica Beach/Surfside. FYI, bring change or dollar bills for crossing the bridge over to Jamaica/Galveston area because it costs $2 to cross the bridge each time. You can buy a booklet of tickets to be able to cross multi times if youre driving back and forth a bunch. You can also drive ALL the way around Freeport but its literally 45 min longer...so worth the $2 to just take the bridge. We only crossed over 6 times so we just paid in cash/change. The trip to Blue Water was excellent and provided wonderful memories. It was perfect for our family getaway. Were already checking our calenders to be able to book it again!! -

We stayed at Blue Water for a week and a half and overall it was great and we enjoyed our stay. The spots are close together but somehow it doesnt seem too close. It was very quiet and relaxing. The pool is nice but not heated so it was cold. Laundry was nice and accepted credit cards which was helpful. Beach was across the street and was really nice and not crowded. We stayed on the canal and although we didnt catch very many fish, we caught some and a lot of crabs. Very fun for my kids.Couple negatives...the wifi was not great. Our kids had to do school and my husband needed to work and the wifi was not strong enough for that to happen. Also, the really didnt patrol the grounds. There were wood fires going even though there was a burn ban in the area.Overall, check it out! Its worth the trip. -

This is a beautiful park! The location couldn’t be better. We drove around to check out the other parks in the area, Blue Water is the nicest park in the area hands down. The park is very clean and well maintained. We stayed on the canal side which had excellent views. Short walk to the gulf, little to no traffic, excellent beach area. No issue with road noise. The WiFi is more than adequate for the times we actually wanted to us it. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again. -

Beyond nice people and place. Clean!!! Good space in between spots, restaurant is a nice amenity for a night you don’t want to cook. For people leaving 1 star for the food/bar-its an RV resort, not your Galleria tv chef venue-be realistic! Food is good. You can fish, pool is clean and dogs are welcomed! It is quiet and beach is 20 ft away. And Mr. George is the best! -

First class RV Resort - Hands Down! From the check in staff, (especially Kim), to the grounds keepers - nothing but genuine kindness. Restrooms clean and the grounds were immaculate. Doggie park was small but inviting for our little dog. We didnt arrive until after 10:00 pm because of traffic but the restaurant manager/owner took the time to help us find our reserved space. I really wanted to be close to the Gulf side, but after getting there we chose the canal side - and it was heavenly. Soft breeze in the day, moving the canal waters and a rougher breeze at night which made the evening exciting. Fish jumping out of the water - all day and night! Clear sky and you could see every star because we were out of the city! I know Gulf weather can suddenly change, but our stay was heavenly. Please make the drive and experience Blue Water RV. -

We loved Blue Water RV Resort. Couldn’t have been easier and you can walk to the beach in less than five minutes. The bathrooms and showers were spotless. There was some type of get together most evenings. The people who work there couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. They have it set up so that parking on one side overlooks a canal and the other side overlooks a marsh. We are just learning how to do this RV life…so my reviews will get more sophisticated as I learn more. -

Great place. We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Water. Very large spots with tables and all the amenities. The beach being across the street and a walkway large enough to drive our golf cart over there made it even better. We enjoyed the restaurant being on site for a night cap to an amazing day in the pool and on the beach. -
Review 77 (2020-08-24 - Rating: 4)
We stayed here last week, from Wednesday to Friday (theres a two night minimum) in one of their cottages. Specifically, we were in the purple heron. We stayed here for a few reasons: 1-location to beach, 2-price, 3-amenities.First location is great. Its not beach front because you do have to cross the street, but its a very short walk. On the way back they have showers where you can rinse off with fresh water. Its also close to the Bay, so you can fish. The cottages are in the inner part of the canal, so the piers right there didnt have much other than cat fish near them, but further up theres another pier. We never made it that way, because we were having too much fun at the beach to worry about fishing. On price, its an OK price for the location. The room is small, but lets face it, Im not running laps in that room, so we really only needed somewhere to rest our heads. Most air BNB or VRBO type places had large fees, and blue water rates were flat, and cheaper (keep in mind its a house vs a cottage, but there arent any other cottages/small houses to stay at in the area). For amenities, we didnt use much, because we were basically at the beach the entire time. But theres fishing piers, nature trail, outdoor shower, dog park with shower, basketball goal, pool (pretty nice one), boat ramp, laundry facilities and a restaurant.I really only have two negatives. 1) I thought the restaurant was lacking. There werent many options, but could be because we were ordering to go. You also cant call ahead because they said they got a lot of wrong number calls and people not picking up their food (seems like you could solve this by confirming the address/location of the restaurant). 2) they pick up trash twice a day. Im not sure if I was supposed to bring my own trash bags, but they definitely didnt provide a new one. We were only there two days so not a lot of trash and we could just take it to the dumpster (fairly close), but just seems like an odd thing to not provide.I also did a video review on the area, you can see that by searching Blue Water RV Resort - Cottage Stay - Review and Vacation on YouTube. -

Such a nice well maintained RV resort. Its away from the madness of Galveston on a quiet stretch of the Bluewater Highway. Facilities are clean, grounds are nice and the office staff was super helpful. Prices are good for all the amenities you have, there is daily trash pick up too. The beach is across the road and its not crowded at all. We will definitely be going back.If you can avoid the restaurant I would. Bar service might be ok for a drink or two but the food service and quality has a long way to go. -

Everything super clean - bathhouse, clubhouse, pool, campgrounds! They come by and grab trash and fill up propane tanks. Beach across the street, canal along one side, leaving. Beautiful scenic view all around. We were here over thanksgiving and they had a potluck and the owner and staff went above and beyond with the food and set up! We didn’t get to join in on all the crafts but they have a few activities for everyone to join!! We will definitely be back! -

I stayed there this past weekend. Access to the beach is right across the street, with a private Blue-water RV Resort wooden walkway. Definitely a fishermans heaven. You can fish on the canal from your RV spot, or even launch a boat and get access to the inter-coastal. Very new and very clean. Staff was very friendly as well. I really liked the fact that it is not right in the middle of the Galveston tourist area. Big rig friendly, and pull thru sites at the main entrance. Great job folks. -

Really nice place only two years old so no shade, The restaurants not open and theres not really a lot of places to eat that are close by. They have an entrance to the beach directly across the road but its only for foot traffic and golf carts, My mini Cooper will fit through the entrance but after using it once I was told not to do it again. Fishing in the canals not very good and heard some people catching some stuff off of the beach though -

Highly recommend this rv resort!!! Nice spacious spots with options of being by the canal, wetland, or having an ocean view. There are also docks along the canal side (great for fishing or putting in a kayak!).The amenities this resort has to offer are great! They have a small dog park, beautiful pool and activity room, a laundry room, even an on-site restaurant (which has really tasty food). They also regularly have activities for guests. The beach is right across the street and is dog friendly and not super busy! Each and every one of the staff goes above and beyond and are truly amazing!! We will miss staying here and hope to come back sometime in the future 😁 -

Blue Water RV Resort is by far the best RV park weve experienced in Galveston or Surfside. The staff and management are very friendly, so helpful, and made us feel welcome. The entire park is spotless, from office/store to pool to each site - all in perfect repair. It is very family oriented and quite. Our week-long stay has been simply fabulous and well definitely be back again. The views are spectacular, bayside waterway to the west, spotless and private gulf beach to the south, and wetland preserve to the east. Highly recommended. -

A little disappointed in this park as we were expecting the grill to be open. They stated it has been closed since December 2020 with no plans for reopening. The game room was not as advertised, they only have one foosball table out, the ping pong table was folded up and they had dvds, but no access to the player. The great part about the park is that it is so close to the beach! We had a canal spot with a dock which was overrated as you can fish right from the edge anyhow. Mosquitos were horrible, but that’s to be expected with the canal and marsh area. We loved the area, just a bit removed from town and restaurants. They did have a nice little store at the office with tackle, frozen bait, ice cream, and grocery items which you could have them just charge to your card on file which was convenient. We are considering coming back, but not convinced. They could make this park really nice if they put some money back into it. -

Cute park. Close to the beach. Great little inlet to the bay (kayak into grasses to fish or take the boat out into the bay). Hope they get the bar or restaurant up and running. They do have food trucks in the season - we were there off season and they still had live music. Great communicating with check in.Only negative was mosquitoes. Maybe how far the store is, but you know that looking at a map. -

We stayed at the Blue Water RV Resort, this place opened in April and this place is great! Friendly staff, we had a problem with ants at the electric pedestal, told the staff about it they took care of it right away. The RV park has a dog wash area, they supply Dawn soap to wash the dogs, which is great. When parking your RV you park on concrete, not crushed granite or other material. You have a picnic table and grass beside and behind your RV. All the creature comforts of home. Blue Water Resort even built a walkway across the road to access the ocean so you dont have to walk through the high grass. Very nice and well maintained. -

Nice paved lots with picnic tables and views no matter the spot. No trouble maneuvering or parking our 42 footer. Very nice laundry room, game room and pool. Playset for kids. Fenced in dog area. Beach entry across the street. Restaurant on site. Semi private docs on some spots, community launch. Just really enjoyed our stay. -

Nice clean park, but away from everything. Very narrow roads and turns in front of park for pull through for our 40’ motor home. Coming from Galveston it was very tight fit going through San Louis Pass toll bridge in our motor home. 11 miles to closest convenience store in Freeport for anything you need like milk etc. Good for fishermen. -

One of the best golf coast RV parks we have been to right by the beach which was literally across the street w/beautiful beach front views from the restaurant. We didn’t get to try it out but since the office is inside the place I was able to peep the view while checking in. There is a private bridge leading to the beach. We stayed at site #68 with a semi private pier that we loved. Nov (2020) It was only a few ft away as soon as you step out of our RV. It’s a shared pier and reserved specifically for the #’d sites posted on on the pier which wasn’t too bad. Didn’t have any problems with personal space and distancing. Very clean park with an immaculate pool, rec room, boat and kayak ramps, and fish cleaning station. We had a late arrival (9:30ish) and was a bit concerned with reviews stating there is”no lights” and “too dark when trying to back in ur rig” so we brought our industrial work light. We had no issues backing in our 43’ Toyhauler into our site. Everyone was friendly, honest, and welcoming. Oh and if ur concerned about members of the staff showing any form of favoritism toward skin color or nationality, it’s NOT true. Me and my family are of Asian and Hispanic descent and we did not experience any of that. If u are kind, respectful, and just simply follow the rules, you will will be treated in the same manner. Simple as that.We had accidentally left our Surge Protector behind (amongst the chaos of packing up) 🤦🏻♀️ and the gentleman that drives around his truck notified the ladies at the office and we were notified right away. Anyone who owns one of these know they are NOT cheap! We were already 20 min out and had to turn around. We are very great full for the staff and their honestly. We rented 2-4 seater golf carts from Brazosport Golf Carts who was recommended by the park. I highly recommend them. Jack was very accommodating by delivering them to the site upon our arrival and coming to our site to wrap up paperwork. Having a golf cart made it fun and convenient to get around the park and to the beach w/o having to take ur own vehicle.Electric unit worked perfectly as our surge protector didn’t make any issues known. We do recommend using a water pressure regulator. WiFi worked great. No buffing.Overall, a big 👍🏼 For us!!! We will be returning again in the near future. Maybe in the spring or summer for sure. Thank you Blue water RV Park for an awesome experience!!!! -

Blue Water is a new RV resort, opened in April 2019. Nice place, we enjoyed our stay. Nice swimming pool, playground for kids, dog park, boat ramp, canal side spots have semi-private fishing piers. Theres a walkover to the beach directly across the street for resort guests, so the beach there tends to be mostly people staying at the resort (nearest public beach access road is several miles away). We really appreciated being able to buy ice onsite! Theres an onsite bar and grill also, but its not resort-owned. (So dont blame the resort for slow service.) I would definitely stay here again! -

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Overall, very happy with the facility. Note - the Google maps places it 4 miles before the actual location (if you are coming from Surfside). After checking in, an employee (Mike) guided us to our site and helped us back in. After years of RV’ing, this was a first! Usually you are given a map and you were on your own. I hope they continue doing this. We had a site with a semi private dock. I highly recommend this because you get a larger concrete pad, versus exiting your RV on to grass (which brings more dirt into the RV). You could also use the extra space for vehicle parking. Pool was ok but crowded. Bathhouse is the only improvement needed. They were dirty each time I visited. Each morning, I cleaned hair from all 3 shower drains, dirty q tips from the floor, etc. Maybe post a sign in each shower stall reminding people to keep the area clean? The shower setup was great with a private changing area and room in the shower for shampoo, soap, etc. And they have a water softener! Tons of washers and dryers if you are so inclined. Didn’t visit the restaurant but I hear they deliver. Lastly, it is not beachfront. The beach is across the street. Overall, we will be back. -

Beautiful new RV resort. Our 42’ 5th wheel fit perfectly in one of the pull through sites. The entire park is nicely paved and had excellent WiFi. Nice little playground and unheated pool. Easy walk across the street tot the beach. Main building has a restaurant and bar but they were unfortunately closed due to COVID. Our friend stayed in a cottage which was very small and basic but good for a weekend. My only gripe was that it is located so far out from everything. But if you are looking to park and enjoy the beach, this place is perfect! -

Great RV park 2 stay at in Freeport/Galveston area. Stayed there this past week. Very clean, great access to beach & they have their own walkway 2 get there. (Just across the street). We were also able 2 drive onto the beach too. Access point is about 1 mile or so away. You are also able 2 fish along their canal too. They have a fish cleaning station as well. Along with a walking trail towards the back of the park. Will definitely come back and stay again. -

Very clean park, but we wont stay again. They allow dogs and have a dog area, but really dont seem dog friendly. No pens, fences, or kennels. You can walk your dog, but you cant let them loose in a portable pen. A LOT of restrictions of what you cant do. The speed limit is 5 mph, and yet the staff leads RVs down the 1 way in, 1 way out drive a lot faster than 5 mph, but thats ok. It was a nice stay, but I wont be back. -

Brand new park beautiful and well kept. Staff are very courteous and helpful. We would recommend a site with a dock for a large diesel pusher. The pad is a full conrete double pad for these sites. Be careful on highway 257 between Freeport and the RV park and ensure you are following the speed limit. On each trip to and from we saw no less than 3 officers with people pulled over. Please remember, these officers are doing their job and trying to keep everyone safe on the road so follow the law and be courteous to them. Had a great time fishing and enjoyed our stay at Bluewater RV resort. -

Stayed the entire week before Easter... made lots of memories with our grandparents for my husbands 40th birthday. We enjoyed all of it (except it was windy and a little chilly in the mornings, but expected this time of year). Very family oriented and the staff care. -

This was our first family RV trip and weve learned a few things, but overall really enjoyed the accommodations and setup at Blue Water. A golf cart is a big help to get around and haul stuff to the private beach across the bridge. The mosquitos come out at night, which is when we arrived. Not optimal for setup in the dark, especially your first time, but we managed. Our 15 sewer hose is set back on the 25 camper, so we needed an extra 10 extension to reach the sewer and picked one up at home depot when out getting groceries. Also, bring 1 or more shade tents for the site and/or the beach, anchors to hold them down are a good idea, Im using tie down straps to my coolers, but I saw a pro using 5 gallon buckets with water in them as well for easy anchors. -

Blue Water RV ResortFreeport, TXWe usually go to Port Aransas so this is our first visit to this resort. So far, fantastic. It is definitely one where social distancing has been more than easy. This is far enough away from any commercialized beaches that we had the beach to ourselves for an hour or more on Thursday. We booked one of the pier sites and have been able to catch some fish and blue crab from there. The sites are long, wide and level. The road and sites are all concrete. The staff is nice and very helpful.Amenties:- Pier, bay and beach view sites.- stilted cabins overlooking bay and beach with wrap around porch. We rented one of these for son, daughter in law and grandson.- nice office with small camp store.- Pool that is level with and looks out at the bay with a clubhouse, restroom, showers and laundry.- Nice playground, basketball court and pickle ball.- Boat launch at the end with fish cleaning station and long nature trail out into the bay.- Dog park with a dog washing station.- Restaurant and bar at the office building up by the beach. Both are open but serving only on the outside deck with max of six at tables that are at least six feet apart. Food was great.- Kayak and Paddle Board rental for $50 per day from 9 AM to 9 AM.- Great for bike rides and walks. -

Great RV park as close to ocean as you can get. Plenty of space between the sites. Would recommend the canal front sites as you can fish right there and crab as well. Quite at night with easy access to beach by foot or car. Only 30 mins to Galveston for all the fun there too. -

Spent the Fourth of July at Blue Water and loved our 4 night stay! Spaces long and wide with level concrete pads for RV, car, chairs, and table! All staff was super nice. Park super clean, trash pickup twice a day, cable, WiFi, pool, game room, restaurant, and kayak/paddle board rentals. Some spots have a boat dock so that you can leave your boat in the water. Fishing from your RV site and crabbing too. Nice sloped walkway over to the beach so you can take your wagon. Away from the crowds, yet close to Surfside and Galveston. Recommend to all. -

They are a new restaurant with a fantastic menu. Everything is homemade and fresh. They make a variety of pizza, pasta, burgers, sanwiches, seafood, salads and tacos. You can even bring in your catch of the day and they will cook it. The fish tacos are amazing, either way you want them, grilled or fried. The po-boy selection is incredible. They have shrimp, oyster, soft shell crab or a catfish po-boy. The entire building has been remodeled with many seating areas outside and inside with great views of the ocean and the bay. They have an event space upstairs with balconies for a 360 degree view.Lets not forget the full bar! They can make you any drink your heart desires. This will be a definitely our new spot! -

The RV park was excellent, but the mosquitos were terrible. We even used outdoor repellent with 25% deet, which we had to reapply. The natural repellents without deet were a joke and didn’t even slow them down. -
