Vannessa is a phenomenal expert! I like to decorate and thought I had a good idea about home staging, but Vannessas vision and strategies blew me away! Her personal guidance, responsive timing and huge breadth of knowledge took my preparations to the highest level. The online consultation process was easy, comprehensive and invaluable. When I was done I felt like my house looked like a model home and was so confident that the work she and I did together would make all the difference in getting the best price for my home. In addition to being my personal Jedi/guide in the selling process, she also taught me valuable lessons about interior design and color that I will definitely use in my next home!!

Vannessa and Three Bears Home Staging helped us with paint color selections for our kitchen remodel and we are thrilled with the way it turned out. Our kitchen is a dark, north-facing room so it was difficult to find a light paint color that didn’t look dirty. We struggled through lots of samples before finally ordering a consult from Vannessa. I wish I had done this right way because it instantly resolved the difficult question of what color to paint our cabinets. Vannessa recommended various options that would work with our lighting and provided recommendations for light bulbs, which was super helpful. The color samples and report arrived quickly and incorporated suggestions for wall, trim, and ceiling colors and paint finish. In addition, when issues arose along the way, she quickly responded to my questions to help us resolve them successfully. Her explanations were clear and helped us understand the rationale for the recommendations. We couldn’t be happier and recommend Vannessa to anyone seeking beautifully painted rooms.

All 3 homes had multiple offers, solid contracts within 3 days of hitting the market, and sold well over asking price. When it comes to decorating your new home and making it not only feel like home but also look amazing, its important to have an interior decorator who really has an eye for style, trends, and making a space feel cohesive. Vannessa came in and redesigned my entry way, living room, master bedroom, and my home office in less than 2 weeks. I cant believe I wasted a month of my own time trying to decorate it myself, only to feel like the space did not flow well. She is a professional and took the time to listen to what I wanted, incorporate the items I already had, adhere to my budget, and put together a look that will definitely get a wow from everyone. I hired Three Bears Home Staging to help me create a tranquil home.Vannessa had many clever suggestions. Some of them were:- Use four vertical mirrors to make my dining room seem bigger and better lit,- Declutter certain areas and introduce real or fake green plant arrangements to liven up the space- Arrange some of my art work and a mirror into a gallery wall- Choose colors that help create a more cohesive look that is less heavy.Vannessa helped me rearrange the furniture and it was amazing to witness the immediate improvement!She was able to find ways to use what I have but also confirmed my suspicions that it was time to let go of some furniture pieces that do not work in my new condo.She was friendly, constructive, warm and cheerful. She created a judgement free space by sharing her own stories. Its clear she is very experienced.I appreciated her thoughtfulness to detail, her great suggestions and recommended resources. She was able to show me examples of design principles in real time on her phone with Pinterest.I have a list of things to do, purchase and recycle. Its so good to have an action plan to work from. Vannessa is a pro at her job. She understands how to tell you like it is, but in a gentle way so that you dont feel offended. Her methodology makes sense and she has the background to explain to you why these things matter versus just telling you how to make something look good. She was very thorough in her consultation, so thorough that I actually had no questions afterwards. I didnt feel rushed at all and she was very open to additional questions after the consult if we had any. I was very impressed with her and would use her again!

I just finished reading Just Right: Easy DIY Home Staging by 3 Bears. If I had this book for the first house that I sold my life would have been so much easier! Ms. Rhoades has written a fabulously easy book to read full of quick, cheap, and wonderful ideas for staging your house. I have even used a bunch of them in my current house just to make it look and feel better, even though I have no plans to move.She lines it out in such a simple way that you can imagine yourself an interior designer! In addition to straightforward recommendations, the book is filled with humor and lighthearted quips about all of our bad habits – overstuffed closets, unmentionables in embarrassing places, how we look at (and smell!) other people’s houses, etc.The chapters on lighting and types of lightbulbs, choosing paint colors, and how to organize closets were the most helpful to me personally, but every chapter contained either a new tidbit of knowledge or reinforced something that I intrinsically knew. Best of all, Ms. Rhoades shows you how to work with what you have so you don’t have to spend a fortune buying new pictures or furniture.This book is a must for anyone wanting to update, remodel, or sell their home. Whether you are a buyer or a seller, it gave great tips on things to do and look for. I would think that real estate agents would have it memorized and have copies on hand to give to all of their sellers.Kudos to Ms. Rhoades and 3 Bears Home Staging for writing the best book that I have seen on how to successfully stage your home.
