We had one weekend to look at as many houses as we could and make a decision, Stefanie was a massive help before, during, and after our visits. We broke down our huge list of homes to about 6, but when we came for our weekend visit we actually looked at 11. When we needed to sell our home quickly due to a change of jobs and cross-country move, I called a few friends who had recently sold/bought homes and asked for recommendations on a realtor; all three recommended Stefanie.I called her and set up a meeting for the next week. She gave us an honest, no-punches-pulled appraisal of how to best sell our house. In the context of a local housing market that had seen modest increases in home values over a decade, we could either sell as-is for about the same asking price as our purchase price nine years before and hope for a good offer from the fixer-upper market, or we could make some updates and repairs and list for a bit higher, but cater to the larger move-in-ready market.We opted for the update and repair route, hoping for a quick sale and strong offer.For all of the repairs and updates, Stefanie had connections with contractors and laborers willing to offer excellent rates. With the help of some great friends, we DIY’d some updates, but also hired out some more technical or labor-intensive/tedious work to Stefanie’s connections. I inherited two residences in Lawton last year. I live in Houston, TX and interviewed several realtors who did not put any effort toward assisting me. When a friend of my cousin suggested Stefanie and I spoke to her the first time, I knew she would be the perfect partner. Stefanie provided me with lots of information about what needed to be done to make the properties presentable without making changes that added no value. Stefanie explained the legal issues to me - the laws in OK are very different than TX and the markets between the two cities are not comparable. She provided references for painters, repair men, etc., and she kept me up to date about progress as it happened and was available on the weekends and at night. When obstacles presented themselves, she provided viable options. The first property was under contract the day after going on the market and the 2nd one after 15 days.
