    One of the best experiences with any business weve had in our three years in Texas. Called Mark on short notice and he had an opening the next day. The inspection took longer than anticipated, but Mark charged what he originally stated and explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it, and noted all appropriate findings in his very thorough report for the builder.     Mark was great when he inspected our home. He was thorough when he was at our home. Every time he saw something he would let my husband know and explain what could happen if it wasnt fixed. He also gave us some great advice with different things in our home. When I was looking for an inspector, Mark told me to make sure Im asking the right questions when talking with other inspectors. For that reason and also for a great price, we decided to call Pro Spec back and make an appointment. We got our house inspected that next week. I would highly recommend Mark at Pro Spec to inspect anyones house. He saved us money by pointing out everything that we needed fixed.

    Mark Jungers inspected my house in San Marcos 6/8/2022. His work was professional, thorough and thoughtful. He included me in the process, explaining all issues and opinions with knowledge, kindness and his own personal expertise from owning a home even older than my own. I was compelled to thank him for his complete absence of condescension in explaining complicated systems to me. I have no experience in many areas of household energy, HVAC and structural knowledge. He never made me feel uncomfortable or uneducated, quite the opposite, he was patient and thorough. He answered any question I had with good cheer and kindness. I recommend his services (and company!) with enthusiasm. My report arrive within 24 hours and my real estate representative had in hand by late morning. He is a true professional.     I am in the process of buying a new home in a subdivision located in San Marcos. This is my first new home purchase and totally stressed out of the prospect of doing a walk through with the builder. I thought I knew the common sense items to look for, but nothing about structural and issues that can be lurking with new builds in particular. I later realized I knew very little! I was referred to Pro-Spec by my realtor, when it was apparent I needed an independent inspection. I wanted a very detailed thorough inspection and that is what I received along with loads of education regarding the process and the identified items needing attention. I am so thankful for the excellent manner in which inspection was performed, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend and use Pro-Spec in the future when the need presents itself. The turnaround time of the written report was very timely for use with the upcoming walk through. I will also be utilizing his follow-up services before the new home warranty expires. Pro-Spec is first rate all the way!

    Pro-Spec helped reinstate our home owners insurance!Our AllState insurance was becoming outrageous so we decided to switch our home and auto to Progressive. Sounds like a simple task right?Two weeks after our new home owners policy was in effect Progressive sent their inspector to inspect our home. The inspector walked around the outside and took picture, along with pictures of our shingle roof. The progressive insurance inspector never got on the roof, and simply took pictures of the shingles with a camera on a stick. A few days later we got a cancellation notice from progressive saying we needed and entire re-roof, and we had 8 days before our new policy would expire. We called Progressive and they said they do not send the insurance inspectors out again and simply said sorry, you can pay higher premium to retain coverage.We hired Pro-Spec to inspect our roof, take pictures and provide an honest report of shingle condition. Our shingles DID NOT need to be replaced, and still had about 7 years of life remaining. We sent the Pro-Spec report to Progressive and a few days later Progressive retracted the cancellation notice and apologized for unprofessional work of their Progressive inspector.Pro-Spec saved us thousands of dollars and saved us from unprofessional Progressive insurance inspector.Thank you Pro-Spec
