My husband and I had worked with Ellen and her team for a number of years when he (my husband) was a home inspector. Seeing firsthand how hard she worked for her clients, when the time came for us to choose a realtor for our own home purchase, Ellen was absolutely our first choice. From the first showing of our cute little country cottage in Walker County, to the offer and contract, through the inspection and appraisal process, and finally to closing, Ellen had our interests at heart every step of the way. Ellen and Todd have been nothing short of amazing! I purchased my home back in 2020. I never imagined I would be capable of buying the house I have now, back when I was a single mother working with one income. Ellen was so helpful and made it happen for me and my kids. I’m forever grateful. Todd really helped me understand everything from my inspection. I was able to surprise my kids with a beautiful home in an awesome safe neighborhood. My family made a big move to Texas in 2022. We decided to sell the current home we bought a little over 18 months ago, and we were immediately filled with excitement and anxiety all at the same time... lol. HUGE shout out to Ellen Pool with Pool Realty Group❤️❤️ This one deserves all the recognition!I joined a facebook group at the beginning of the year due to being relocated to the area from Mississippi & needing a realtor! I was quickly sent tons of referrals for Ellen! The amount of knowledge she has about the area & her willingness to help quickly stood out to me! I knew she was the one I wanted to work with!She literally never missed a beat Im telling you! We were on a timeline that HAD to be met due to my husband being in the military. We had a house to sell in Mississippi & needed to be closed on a house here within just a couple of months so I was stressing to say the least lol. Our realtor in Mississippi (not Ellen 😜) gave us a bit of run for our money... things were not done how they were suppose to be done and Ellen would check in with us periodically to see how we were doing & how the sell of that house was coming along so we could plan a date for us to find a house here. I let her know my concerns about some of the things going on there & she was there EVERY step of the way for us even on that end of selling when she didnt have to be. She guided us & gave us advice on what steps we should take next. She was literally my clam in our storm through the whole selling of our house in Mississippi even when she wasnt our selling realtor there! That just showed to me how much she truly cared & wanted to help!Once we FINALLY got our house in Mississippi under contract Ellen was the first person I told cause I was so excited to tell her! I first met Ellen Pool virtually on April 1, 2020! My husband and I were considering a move back to my home state. I am originally from Ft. Worth. Over 2.5 years, Ellen would answer many of my questions about the master planned communities, housing market, availability, property taxes, etc before we even moved forward with the process.Finally, in April 2022, our family made the trip down and chose a neighborhood. We went under contract on a new construction property in Katy. I would ask a ton of questions over the 7 months it took to close. From “Ellen the paint is beige and the cabinets are gray. I can’t stand the paint. Do you have a painter?” to “Ellen what if we can’t close???” The time I switched houses a couple months in… and I may have also done it again during Christmas vacation. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Third time is a charm!I don’t think I was a typical relocation client since I know the area a little but I wasn’t without my own housing market rabbit holes and worrying but she handled it with grace. She never made me feel like I was a nuisance. She was my friend I called on to say “Did you see the update?” When the sales consultant would send pictures. Plus she was my person who assured me she could help me find painters, an insurance person, and all of the things! Heck, she IS my friend as her daughter attends a college my daughter is interested in and Ellen will need to walk me through how to send my first baby into the world! All the mama tears!When it was time to do the walk throughs, Todd came through to help us with that. It was nice that we didn’t have to go searching for yet another person to walk us through this part. He gave us his opinion on the quality of work as well as the builder reputation. I definitely value that as a person who has been on the commercial construction side for 10+ years I know the value of knowledgeable folks and having a great team.Reach out to the team. I’ve had such an amazing experience working with Ellen and Todd Pool. I found them on Facebook when I decided to relocate to Texas. I joined the group June 2021 and have been in communication with them ever since. I feel like I’ve been knowing them forever now lol. Ellen and I spoke with messenger for over a year and a half before my husbands work transfer had even come through. We finally got the work transfer Jan. 2023 I contacted Ellen immediately with the good news. Then it was go time. Todd met us at the community we were looking to move to. Todd is amazing! He is so knowledgeable in his field and boy is he funny. We laughed every time we met up to view a property. Todd can tell you all about a house and its structure by looking at it. He can see any faults immediately but also can see great quality instantly. I was amazed by him and the detail he was able to offer about anything we had questions about. We found a house we like a picked a lot, Todd assisted us every step of the way. He was able to give measurements off the top of his head about yard size( which was important to us). Fast forward and there’s a mix up with the elevation of the house by the builder. I called Ellen immediately! She quickly got on it and got the contract canceled with deposit refunded. Now we are back at it and found something else, Todd was there with us again. We are moving along with this house then another more catastrophic issue arose. The wrong stone was put on the house and I was so unhappy. I called Ellen again. This time the builder wasn’t so cooperative but Ellen assured us that she would fight for us. That’s exactly what she did. She went above and beyond to speak with the person in charge. She expressed every feeling I had to them with the same passion that I had expressed to her. She was able to get us our full earnest deposit back (which was a lot). I can assure you that no other realtor company could’ve pulled off what pool realty group pulled off. We found our dream house and she told us to get on a move because other buyers were interested in that particular house. We listened and closed on the property days ago. I am so thankful for pool realty . It’s been a journey but they rocked it out with us the whole way through 🫶

We made the leap to move here from San Diego, and while it’s been an adjustment, it was so worth it to end up in the gorgeous home we bought. Huge thank you to Ellen Pool and her husband Todd Pool for helping us find our perfect home in the cutest neighborhood. They were so helpful and knowledgable from beginning to end and we couldnt have done it without their help and expertise. Todd thoroughly reviewed our inspection report and then reviewed it again with us noting which things were minor vs major (luckily nothing major!) and I was extremely grateful for his help because as a first time buyer, we had no idea what we were looking at or what was urgent or not. Todd also did the final walk through with us and immediately noted certain things weren’t up to par and started making calls right then and there. We also had a schedule conflict at the last minute and they were able to make the necessary adjustments to help us still make signing happen on closing day. They were also kind enough to send someone over to fix some holes in the walls left by the previous residents and touch up the paint and it made the house look that much more beautiful and took one thing off our to do list! Uprooting your life is so stressful and difficult, but they helped make this piece so much easier. Todd and Ellen are the A Team you want on your side in any transaction. Not only are they passionate about what they do, they also have an abundance of knowledge and resources available to you which is invaluable in the home buying process. We knew we would be moving from out of state a year before we had to be here. When I started looking into houses, I ran across Ellen’s name and knew that she would be a great resource for us! Being born and raised in Maryland, my husband and I decided that when our youngest graduated we would fly south. The last 4 months prior to purchasing a home were a whirlwind, I graduated nursing school, acquired a job at Womans Hospital of Texas, sent my youngest off to the Marine corps, helped my oldest buy our home in MD, took a 2 week dream vacation to Costa Rica and then bought our home here in Texas the day after! Looking from the outside in, one might think we were crazy to take on all of that in such a short time… but they didn’t have Ellen Pool and her team!From day one, Ellen and her team kept us educated, informed, and on track. The day we scheduled all our viewings our flight was delayed multiple times and Ellen moved mountains to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Once we found our home, Todd came out and helped us measure for appliances and show us things that we may not be familiar with coming from MD. Ellen got us under contract, Todd helped us negotiate the inspection and potential repairs, and her team was regularly in contact recommending resources and helping me to pull it all together. Then on the other side was Kayla Tyroch and her team tying up all the loose ends for financing and getting us cleared to close. I just wanted to share my experience with buying our new home with the help of Ellen Pool and her wonderful team.When my husband separated from the Army, we wanted to give the Houston area a try, and we leased a home in The Woodlands. Our Pool Realty Group journey started last year (2022) when we were getting curious about real estate in the area and what our options were. I explained to Ellen that we were just looking and not yet ready to buy, so she set up a weekly email with homes that fit our needs and would check in every now and then. It finally happened! We bought our dream home in The Camellia Neighborhood in Conroe, TX in May of 2021. This would not have been possible without the assistance and professionalism of Ellen and Todd Pool. I first met Ellen and Todd back in November 2020 when we were starting the process of selling our home in California to make the transition to Texas. We found numerous homes but, unfortunately, our offers were not accepted. We knew that the market was competitive. Being in California and not being able to see the homes in person was scary. However, the knowledge and attention provided by Ellen and Todd made buying this home a breeze!! Our offer was accepted and within days, the home inspection was completed. Todd went alongside the home inspector and made notes along with the home inspector of deficiencies. Once I received the report, I spoke with Todd on the phone and reviewed the entire inspection with him. He is very knowledgeable! He even found deficiencies that the inspector missed… Todd is easy to talk to and it’s obvious that he knows his stuff! I can’t say enough about Ellen! She went above and beyond the call of duty, especially when our first mortgage company/loan fell through. She found us a different mortgage company ((Movement Mortgage)) and they got escrow completed quickly! I could not have bought this home without them! Ellen took time out of her day to show my husband the home, his first time viewing it as we were still residing in California. She even called me from the home to let me ask questions as she’s walking through it. Several weeks ago we drove by a house that caught my eye, unfortunately it was pending. I reached out to Ellen and said hey if that house becomes available I want it call me. She said okay but go ahead and fill out an application for a loan just in case, so reluctantly we did. A couple weeks went by and nothing. Then we got the call our unicorn home was back on the market ??- and spoiler alert ?? we were already pre approved for the loan thanks to Ellen! I just knew it would go fast so I asked if we could see the home, she agreed then I went on to tell her of the kids have karate, Richard is working late and there’s something going on at the school too so will 8pm work?! She agreed!!! ??so we saw the house I loved it, Richard didn’t but we had some serious guidelines and finding another one would be impossible. Ellen went out of her way to find us another unicorn - we were shocked ?? it was even better than the first home ?? I loved. Her husband Todd met us at the house and walked us through the home and took the time to talk to us about pros/ cons and compared both homes,he was super knowledgeable and never tried to push us one way or another -of course we were a divided house. ????? thankfully, Todd was able to explain thoroughly which home was better in the end and why. This post is long overdue but we have been SO BUSY turnung this house into our home and exploring our new state. We moved to Pearland from Oregon mid July and I just want to let anyone on the fence know it was the absolute best decision ever. Ellen Pool reached out to me when I first joined this group and we have been in contact since. The buying process was smooth and I felt that we were in great hands with an experienced team by our side. She sent us the most thoughtful goodies to welcome us to our new house as well as a sweet card for my daughters first day of school in Texas. We truly feel like we have been welcomed with open arms to the state and everyone has been so friendly. I was a little nervous as I have seen plenty of “stop moving to Texas” posts on other groups but there has not been one person I have encountered that wasn’t so welcoming and polite. I wanted to share some of my favorite memories we have already made here. I’ve been able to go into my daughters school, which is an incredible change from how last year in Oregon went. The schools here are highly rated and so great with the students. I am in the loop every week and she comes home happy and is actually excited to go which is huge for her. We have gone to the Sunny Beach in Galveston multiple times, the Kemah Boardwalk, our first MLB Astros game, the Children’s Museum, Palm Beach at Moody GArden’s, so many cool parks with splash pads and lots of evening sunset walks through our beautiful neighborhood. This is all within a little over a month! There is so much to do here!It’s scary packing up and moving your family halfway across the country, but this new life is so worth it. Thank you to Ellen and the Pool team for helping us to make this a reality. We are so happy and thriving in our new Texas life ❤️

I am new to this area and when I was looking for a realtor, Ellen Pools name kept coming up as a responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with professional. I gave her a call and could not be happier with my home buying experience! Ellen is not only a seasoned professional, she is kind and patient and took me to multiple homes to find the perfect home for us! She REALLY listened to what I was l looking for. When the perfect home came on market we had to move FAST and I was out of town. She took my husband to see the home and while he loved it, I was nervous to put in an offer without seeing it. As if the stress of moving isnt enough... we had the added stress of moving to Houston from CA! I didnt know where to start and just like everyone else I was looking at Zillow and watching the different moving to Houston FB groups. After seeing different posts about people getting scammed we decided to work with a realtor. BEST DECISION EVER!! I found Pool Realty from the FB group Moving to Houston TX! not to be confused with the other moving to Houston groups. Ellen helped me get in touch with their leasing agent, Celina, and she was AWESOME!!! She gave me a call and we talked about what we were looking for and I was able to ask all the questions I wanted without feeling like Im being too much. Mind you we had specific criterias about where we wanted to find a house... mainly which specific schools we wanted to be zoned for. We talked early June and since our move in date wasnt until August 1st we waited until mid-June to really start looking. She was available day, night and weekends... although I did try to give her her personal time and didnt contact her until it was business hours since we have a 2 hour difference. We started emailing and texting back and forth on June 14th about different properties and I was sending her applications after applications.. I did this because I was only really available early mornings and late evenings. I figured she could look into the properties for me while it was her working hours and I would usually get an email from her throughout the day with updates like we turned in the application or this property just went under contract or they want a copy of this, etc. I have to be honest though there were times when it was already 8PM where Im at and I would get a text from Celina about a property.. thats like 10PM her time and shes still working on our applications! Anyways fast forward to July 2nd... thats right July 2nd, 4th of July weekend and it was a Saturday... Celina was working on finalizing our lease! She was negotiating our pet situation (we have 2 guinea pigs) and move-in date, etc. Just short of 3 weeks looking... we signed our lease agreement on July 3rd and she got us an extension until July 5th to send the deposit and 1st month because it was a holiday. THANK YOU CELINA for making finding our next home a breeze! Cant wait to work with them again when were ready to buy!
