Our realtor, Shelley Childress, was fantastic. We had to move fairly quickly from Georgia and she went out of her way to show us all the possible houses in one day and then the second day we went back for a second look . She took us to all of the houses we had found online and also recommended several others. She answered every question we had and gathered all of the information we needed about the different homeowners associations and such. We could not have had a better realtor helping us make our move from Georgia to Abilene a great success! Shelly Childress worked hard for us from the beginning. She planned a day of viewings, and when we didn’t find anything we wanted to offer on she kept looking and found a new build for us that we liked. She was a great intermediary for us, an an advocate when the process was stalled. She also recommended a great mortgage company (who helped us extend a rate when we were unable to close within our original closing dates). Gena Dreistadt at Stovall is the best experience we’ve ever had with a realtor! We had a family member moving to the Abilene area from out of town, and the first realtor we put them in contact with blew them off. Gena started working for Stovall so we sent our family to her and she gave them the best experience! She listened to what they wanted, showed them houses, did research for them to help them get the best deal for their price range. She followed up with them after and gave them such beautiful and thoughtful gifts for their new home.A few months later we found out my husband was being transferred to the New Orleans area. We asked Gena to list our house in Abilene. Since it was through a relocation company, she had to take additional classes she paid for out of her own pocket to be able to list our house. She had a professional photographer come take gorgeous pictures and our house was sold in just a few days on the market for full list price! She made sure everything went smoothly for us and stayed in touch through out the transition. She also gave us thoughtful parting gifts of Abilene and Texas as treasured keepsakes from our time in Abilene.She’s just the best!
