South Austin Homes went the extra mile so I could, too! 🗺 In March, I entrusted Michael Jurkash and Claire Dunn with selling my home as I moved almost 2,000 miles across the country.From my first meeting with Mike, I could tell that his strategic marketing mind and meticulous attention to detail were a perfect match for me and my home. He took great care to learn about who I was, why I was motivated to sell and what I loved about my special slice of Austin. Michael helped me sell my home and I couldnt be happier. Michael is a top-notch realtor/broker with deep knowledge and experience in selling and buying homes. He knew exactly what we needed to do to get my home sold and helped me navigate a somewhat sticky situation that another relator we consulted with was going to handle differently. Michael handled it like a pro and steered me to a successful outcome. He handled it like a pro. Michael staged our home so we had multiple offers (6 to be exact) the first weekend, 2 offers were 26k over asking. While this may not be typical for all homes, I feel that with the way Michael sets up the home for success makes a huge difference. I highly recommend Michael and wouldnt think of using anyone else to sell or purchase a home. He is the best!

I moved to Austin for grad school last August. I had done some research myself and had an idea of what I was looking for but still needed quite a bit of help. I somewhat randomly ended up walking into Mikes office after talking to a few other real estate agents, and it was about the best thing that could have happened to me on my condo search. He was incredibly helpful during the whole process and after the sale as well.As a first time home buyer, I was nervous about the possibility of being talked into buying a place for more than I really wanted to spend. However, the condo I ended up with under Mike guidance was not only the best suited to my needs out of any other property I was able to find, it was also cheaper than anything else I was considered. I was in Wisconsin during the closing process, but Mike took care of everything that needed to be done here in Austin and even held on to the keys for me until I was able to move in.Mike is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and in my opinion is extremely trustworthy. I am definitely going back to him when it comes time to sell my condo.

I’ve been a professional home stager for over ten years. Of all the excellent realtors I work with, no one is as invested in the success of a listing as Mike. He treats your for sale home as if it were *his* home for sale. He makes sure it’s properly staged, showing up on the staging day to work right alongside me, the stager. He puts in real sweat equity, even doing install & repair work where necessary. It’s like a marathon day of perfection pursuit.And that’s just the part I get to see, as the stager. There is all this work behind the scenes, in the deep info binder he builds for each listing, the research, the inspections, an entire comprehensive sort of “trademark” approach to a listing that makes it virtually bulletproof to fallout & concessions.And even before that, his first step before actually taking the listing is to help you determine if this is what you really want to do, considering your life plan. I’m not kidding. He has a step-by-step process he takes you through, like a therapist, to help clarify your thoughts and vision. And sometimes those thoughts mean that you decide you don’t even want to sell your house! It’s amazing! It’s like he’s completely without financial incentive. Of course, that’s not true; this is real work, but the feeling that you get is simply that he cares deeply about you, as a person. Not just your listing as a meal ticket.It’s really rather hard to explain. You just have to experience it to see what I mean. Ifeel nervous, saying this, lest I alienate any of my other realtor partners, all of whom have their own strengths. And that may be why I have procrastinated these many years to write one. I’ll stop here, before I’m gushing.
