    Very caring of their animals. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The best time to go during the weekend is before 1 pm. Around the time they open is the best unless you want to sit in the drive-through safari for over an hour while moving at a sloths pace. Families need to control the kids theyre with. There is absolutely no reason for the kids to pelt the animals in the face with the food theyre throwing to them at lightening speed. Makes an animal lover like myself want to get out of the car and show you how to parent your ill-mannered kids. Never have I fed the ostriches before, but I finally did yesterday. I was very surprised that it didnt hurt. At one point, my whole finger went into its mouth. They do seem very aggressive when they see the food, and they will put their whole head in the car for it. Today, we will be cleaning out food pellets thrown in the car 🀣. Feeding birds is probably the highlight. However, I think the birds would benefit from another park staff being inside the habitat at all times when people are in there or at least have them get on to kids that are stomping, chasing and/or grabbing the birds. There is a sign before entering that tells you do/dont. Staff should have them leave the habitat immediately and not allow reentry. Parents allow their kids to terrorize animals, and thats what has happened every time weve come into the bird habitat. With the birds on the ground and that many people in there at once is dangerous. Recommend to have a limited number of people in at once. Its also unenjoyable when kids scream cry because theyre scared.... take them out instead of standing there yelling at them. We will definitely come back, again. Many praises to your staff for the genuine care and love they give the animals....weve seen it especially with the primates. Ive been coming here since 1985 or 1986. Im 42 now.

    This is the most wonderful place I have ever stayed. Luis was so nice and helpful. We loved our time with Gerardo feeding the animals. Bunkhouse was so comfortable and wildlife did definitely visit. Definitely brought memorable moments for my family.

    What an incredible place! Gorgeous scenery, a beautiful three bedroom two-and-a-half bath cabin and hundreds of amazing animals. Plus throw in caves used by Native Americans and a copy of a western town and you have a dream vacation! This place is beyond words. We will be back.

    Six members of our family spent a weekend, lodged at the Bunkhouse, and enjoyed the time immensely.We participated in an evening feeding of the animalsLovely , lovely place.The staff and owners were extremely helpful and warm and explained the breeding programs and the different wild animal residents.We understand that the ranch houses about 700 animals, some almost extinct in the wild.If you have been looking for a place for a family gathering this is it.

    Awesome experience. We did the self guided tour with our truck. The kids loved feeding the giraffes. Spent a few hours there. Would highly recommend!!!

    An amazing place to stay for a trip or vacation. Youll see deer, zebras, a camel, etc. You can even fish here! The houses/cabins are very cozy and come with restrooms and kitchens. A fantastic experience. Youre missing out if you havent gone here yet.

    Have taken multiple trips to the Safari and every time it is an enjoyable and unique experience. The owners and family are the nicest people you will meet and honestly care about you and your experience. I would highly recommend looking into all of the fun and experiences that a trip to the Texas Safari has to offer.

    Unfortunately have never visited in person however I am a daily viewer of Annabelle the giraffe on their live stream youtube. The amount of care and love they give to their animals is outstanding. Much love to Jack and Nancy and the whole TSR crew

    This is a pretty good safari. The walk-through is really cool, especially if you have kids. It was nice having the option to buy lettuce to feed the giraffes and tortoises.

    Texas Safari is the best place to get away and relax. Our family loves visiting the animals and the owners at the ranch. All of the homes are top notch and fully equipped for entertaining.
