Contacted Watermark last minute after two other lenders fell through on my home mortgage. They provided the most competitive rates and closing costs and assured me they could close in the two week window that I had. Both Dana and Monica were so incredibly helpful, kind, professional, and diligent. Was my agents first time working with a lender who was remote and she had a wonderful experience as well. I definitely recommend!

Ryan is very responsive and moves fast with your loan. A major positive for using Ryan is that he will, after you have submitted your offer, call the agent of the seller to let them know of your good standing with his company (the lender), and will also let them know that you are underwritten already, which is a common thing for Ryan to do upfront for you. Lastly as I said, he moves fast, so this can also be written into your house offer. All of these positives together give you a competitive edge when making your offer in a sea of other offers. I think this made a difference for my wife and I in getting our offer accepted earlier on rather than later on. I recommend Ryan for these reasons. He also happens to be extremely easy to talk to for what that is worth to anyone.

When we decided to start looking for our first home, we had no idea where to start. We first contacted a lender that was referred to us by a friend and at first they seemed very helpful and eager to help. Unfortunately, after about a week or two, they stopped returning emails or following through with things they said they would do. This is when our realtor recommended calling Ryan Stephens at Ascent Home Lending. Ryan was great to work with from start to finish! He communicated with us through the entire process and made things a lot less stressful. It took a long time for us to find the right home but Ryan never lost interest. Once we finally went under contract Ryan was fast and efficient at making sure everything was in order for closing. When closing day finally came Ryan was there and even brought us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new home and we will definitely be working with him again with our next purchase.

I kept putting off refinancing our home. I honestly thought that the 5% rate we got 4 years ago was decent. After numerous friends using Ryan and his company, we decided to bite the bullet and do it. Ryan was able to lower our rate to 3% AND get us some cash out to pay off our credit cards. On top of that, our monthly payment went down several hundred dollars. Then today, I messaged him asking about a check we received from our old escrow for our crazy high taxes out here and he responded right away after verifying to let us know that it was just a nice surprise and our taxes were taken care of at closing. Truly grateful for such a seamless experience and for him being so responsive to questions even after we have closed.
