I found Shirley several months ago by way of a house I was interested in buying. The seller recommended her as a VA lender. I contacted Shirley to request some loan options given that interest rates were historically high. Shirley sent me a spreadsheet that laid out about 5 loan options and broke down all of the numbers within those options. I could change parts of the spreadsheet to explore various scenarios. This all happened after I had already been working with another lender. Shirley won my business because of how she made everything so transparent and shared the best rates without me having to shop other lenders. I was able to evaluate all of my options easily and decide what made the most sense for our family. She told me all about rate but down options and we decided on structuring our loan and offer to the seller, requesting a seller-contributed buy down amount in lieu of a price reduction. That made all the difference in our new home being affordable, despite the current high rates. We were ready to close well ahead of schedule and working with her team was absolutely stress-free. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody would or could give us a chance to get into our new home. My wife is a Disabled Veteran who served in the Army. Our bankruptcy had been discharged. The bankruptcy was discharged BUT it had not been discharged for the standard 2 year waiting period. We were trying to get a jumbo home loan. I was self-employed. I admit that our file was difficult. We started our new home process nearly a year ago. We chose to build our home and use the builders preferred lender. The builders preferred lender pulled the rug out from under us two months into the build process, and told us that underwriting rejected us. Sad day for my wife and I. We went through 6 more potential lenders whom all denied us for different reasons. The 6th potential lender strung us along up to 3 weeks before our possible closing date. They too rejected us and left us near tears. I went online in desperation and stumbled upon Shirley Mueller. Shirley Mueller is THE ABSOLUTE BEST LOAN ORIGINATOR IN THE UNIVERSE! Simply incredible. Shirley is a gem. These days, its extremely hard to find someone to fight for your cause as much as you would if you could represent yourself. My husband and I originally were approved by the builder to start a new construction for a home in March that was set for completion at the end of October. We were EXTREMELY excited since we had a Chapter 7 bankruptcy on our credit that was discharged less than 2 years ago. At the end of July our builder came back and said that they could not approve us for the house. After only a few months left before the completion of our home and the fact that the builder already had money from us, we decided to seek another lender. After 5 additional attempts with other lenders we recieved several NOs due to the BK. We had re-established jobs, great income, and above qualifying credit scores but everyone keep saying wait another year until after the 2 year discharge rule. However, I knew that the VA (we were using my VA loan) had an exception that if the BK was due to lob loss or unemployment we could possibly still be approved. After being strung along by the fifth lender for 3 months and missing our original close date, we found Shirley. We told her our situation on a Monday and sent her over all the documents she requested the same day. By Tuesday our file was sent to underwriting. By the following Monday she had us a Pre-approval. It took a total of 3 weeks from the first time we spoke to Shirely to the day we closed on our house.
