My husband and I worked with Michelle Higdon at UFCU to purchase our home in Austin after relocating from Denver. Michelle was great to work with and even made time in her busy schedule to attend our closing! I was most impressed with Michelles depth of knowledge and her commitment to customer service. Once we decided to place an offer, Michelle reached out to me while she was on vacation to ensure that we had all our questions and concerns addressed. She also took into account our looming rental deadline and helped us to close in 3 weeks instead of the standard 4 weeks. We plan to work with Michelle in the future for all of our mortgage needs.

We had a really good experience buying our first house with UFCU in 2021. While another lender we were working with couldn’t get the appraisal done in time, UFCU stepped in and got the appraisal and helped us close within 30 days in this competitive market. Their agent was also really helpful in providing us customised per-approval letters for specific properties we were bidding on and we had to bid on 30 different houses in the competitive Austin market.

Bought our first home using UFCU and it was a great experience! Their rates were much better than the other companies we shopped, and we managed to move from offer to close in less than 30 days. Sonia David(our loan officer) was professional, helpful, and very sweet. Tammy Lucious(our loan processor) was also helpful. The experience was so good I am now considering UFCU for my savings and retirement accounts. Thank you UFCU for helping us find the home of our dreams!

This is the second time we used UFCU to finance a home. Both times we experienced great service.Employees professional, personable, experienced and efficient. Their communication skills from one department to the next was on target and impressive. We worked with Sonia and she was wonderful.Always returned calls and answered questions. If she didnt know, she found out and got back with you with the answer. This last time the sellers had problems with their deed. The closing date was cancelled several times. UFCU handled it like the pros they are!

This is a long overdue review - we bought in May 2022. We used UFCU as they offered the most competitive mortgage options. We ended up going with a 10/5 ARM 30-Yr which no one else was offering at the time (we talked to 5+ other lenders).Shout out to Pedro Torres (Loan Officer) and Ninfa Conde Vidouria (Loan Processor) who worked tirelessly to get our loan processed and underwritten. They rolled with delays that were out of our control and even pushed to get our loan done to fit the timing demands of a difficult seller. Pedro and Ninfa both had excellent communication, checked in regularly with us and were reachable by phone + email daily. They also took over working with our home insurance broker. Needless to say, theyre a dream team and they got it done. We would 100% trust these two with our next home purchase.During a time when the competitive market was just starting to slow, interest rates had started creeping over 4%, and dealing with a difficult seller, were glad that Pedro + Ninfa were in our corner.

I recently purchased a home and chose UFCU Mortgage Services as my lender because I have several other accounts with UFCU and have always been happy with their products and services. My loan officer was Michelle Higdon. Michelle was beyond fantastic. She made sure I was updated every step of the way and answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. While this process was stressful, I would hands-down recommend UFCU and Michelle any day.

I love UFCU. Friendly, no frills Credit Union that does exactly what it says it will.The reason for the four stars- there online and mobile banking and apps need work.There have been multiple times over the years that I have been unable to connect with certain online services because of the technology limitations of UFCU. Most recently Chime.com and Crypto.com, and in the past Acorns and Qapital.Also there mobile application is pretty much unusable.I would really appreciate some updates in these areas moving forward because I really enjoy staying small and supporting credit unions rather than Big Banks. But I believe that is just the general trade off between supporting local versus big business.

My fiancé and I are first-time homebuyers and to say we were intimidated by the process is an understatement. I had thousands of questions and concerns and our loan officer, Tyler Haas took care of every of EV-ER-Y-THING for us. He worked overtime to answer every small question I had, talk me off a ledge for every crazy scenario I thought of, and made us feel so comfortable throughout the process. He was fantastic about communicating to us and to our realtor. We shopped our rates with another lender and Tyler by far had the best deal, not only because it was a better interest rate and closing costs, but it was because he truly had our best interests in mind- which was super important because it gave us unwavering trust with UFCU. I was a hot mess throughout the whole process and Tyler and the whole UFCU staff couldnt have been more accommodating to us. Were so happy we worked with UFCU for our first mortgage and I honestly couldnt recommend Tyler and the team more.

I love the smooth process which started on the 28th of August when I provided all my docs and finished on the 19th of September.The communication was great and Armando, my loan officer and Stephanie the loan processor made sure they kept me informed throughout the whole process.As stressful as buying a home is I am very happy that the loan review and approval didn’t have any problems.I also love the personalized videos I got via email ❤️

Ask for Andy Garcia! He is the man who can get the job done. I cannot say how helpful this guy was with my first home purchase. I recommend everyone to reach out to him when purchasing and/or refinancing.
