Doing business with the people in the branch has been good, much better than having to deal with Truwest over the phone. The 4-star rating is based on this individual branch. The phone system used to be effective and you could reach a competent person quickly but no longer, you have to go through the most horrific automated phone menu and then maybe youll reach someone competent...maybe. Theres almost never a wait here to do banking and theres even bathrooms down the hall if you need them.Seriously, be careful having to deal with them over the phone, they couldnt even manage to call me back regarding a mortgage refinance after I made 4 phone calls. I have >800 credit score and been a member since the late 90s, guess they just didnt want the business.I keep most of my money elsewhere since their interest rates are quite low compared to other banks.They had one person that was there for a while that was not the brightest bulb and was aweful to deal with but theyre gone now thank goodness. Their Christmas music selection stinks, I wish theyd stop playing it.

Chris Villalpando the teller at this credit union was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. An older woman teller was unable to figure out how to deposit an out of state municipal business check into my business account even after giving her every account number. Chris figured it out and deposited the check with no problem. I will go directly to him next time. This is a clear case where younger people need to educate, train, and manage inflexible old/ senior citizen employees on customer service and technology and common sense.

I have been using the TruWest Credit Union since it opened; first as a Motorola employee and now as a retiree. Their service is always courteous and professional. The people that work at the Credit Union make it a pleasure to go there. I highly recommend TruWest.

Although I am extremely disappointment on How they rejected my loan request I still have to give them credit for how they assisted me on my personal investments .I could understand the credit union rejecting my loan request if my credit score was low or even average but my credit score is way above average . All of my cars, motorcycles and home are paid off in full and I have zero balances on all my credit cards. Credit history is zero defaults zero 90 day 30 day or 30 day lates 820 score . My point is if I dont qualify for a loan then who does ? I just purchased a 2020 car and paid cash, I now have over 100k in CDs at this credit union alone and still no loan ....WTfudge?So I give the loan department - 1 stars, now for what the other half of what truwest does is they assist members on investments . This department takes a very hands on approach, they really listen and they are extremely knowledgeable and all part of the service . This wasnt important for me before . So is you crunch the numbers you have 4 stars total . This is a edit from a previous review in which I gave 1 star which really should have been 0 stars . They really need to clean up that loan department .

I have been a member since I was a child, parents set up a savings account for me. Over the years they have helped me with my financial needs. Setting up a checking account, getting a debit card, getting a credit card, vehicle loans and most recently a personal signature loan. Every time I visit I am greeted like I am family, after all I grew up with em! I have heard many horror stories from friends about their banks and/or credit unions, I even convinced a few to switch! You wont regret choosing TruWest Credit Union!

Although the online banking system is lacking, I find that the employees are very friendly and attentive. The promotional Certificate of Deposit rates are very attractive.

I’m a big fan of this branch. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking a a little tight but have never parked far. I definitely recommend true west credit union!
