Everybody knows a lender. Most people know several, and if youre a real estate agent, you know dozens. Real estate agents learn pretty quickly which lenders they can count on, and which lenders are going to go AWOL the moment the going gets tough. Billy and his team are one of the few lenders I know that are truly committed not only to their clients, but also the vast circle of other people who make the wheels on the real estate bus go around. Billy and his team not only have top-notch customer service, but they are genuine resources for trusted information about lending. Billy has helped me a time or two, and his assistance has never been predicated on whether or not taking the time to help me will benefit his bottom line. Most importantly though, Billy owns the outcome. Ive long held that you can tell the most about a person when things go wrong. In real estate, sometimes the ball gets dropped. There are so many people involved in the process, that sharing or passing the blame is not a difficult or uncommon thing for everyone to do. But heres the rub: Billy doesnt play the game that way.
