Drew has actually helped us with two home purchases and a refinance, we had an awesome experience in 2011 with him and his company. From knowing nothing and being a little apprehensive to trusting his knowledge and advice. It was a no brainier when we decided on our next home this past summer that Drew would be our go to . He and his folks did not disappoint, great communicators, very clear, answered every question and helped to follow up on several items. I felt like I really didnt have to worry . Last year I was given the opportunity to purchase my grandmothers house - as a single, first time homebuyer, I didnt know much, had a lot of questions, and a lot of confusion. Additionally, I had some pretty terrible interactions with another mortgage company, who was quoting wild numbers and difficult processes, making things more complicated than they already were. Cue Stone Lake Mortgage -- Drew and his team were SO helpful. They answered all of my millions of questions patiently and kindly, they did their best to give me an easy and seamless experience, and treated me like an actual person instead of as $$ pending a successful sale. They were also very patient and helpful given the complexities of a sale within the family/POA needs/etc, and even though it became a longer process than your basic home-sale, they were 100% there and helpful every step of the way. Im so grateful for my experience with Stone Lake Mortgage, and their part in helping me to buy a home with so much nostalgia and meaning for me.

She broke down our credit scores and told us what we needed to do to get our credit scores where they needed to be in order for us to get the best loan. After following the recommended actions, we went back in and we received our approval letter that same week. From that point on, Alanah King and Drew McMurtre made the process extremely easy and convenient for us. This was our first time buying a home, so we were basing our expectations off stories weve read online and from friends. Our realtor recommended we apply to other lenders just to make sure we get the best rates. We checked out other lenders, and they all told us they would not be able to beat the rates. Drew was amazaing he was able to get me a low fixed rate. He also was able to complete the City of Houston grant for 30,000 and my other grant for 5,000 within a timely manner. The experience was a handful, but he stuck with me to the end. He listen to what I wanted, therefore I was able to close on my house (worth $117,000) with only a 80,000 loan and 0$ at closing. The money that I saved, I was able to buy appliances and etc. with cash. Thank you for all the help and support.!!!!!!

I contacted Drew after dealing with 6 other lenders. Due to crazy events after I departed the Military my credit was shot. I was even lead along by another lender and secured a Home with a new builder . come to find out he couldnt help me. With about a month to close I searched and searched and came along Stone lake mortgage. I explained my situation and drew took my file and ran with it.We had some hiccups due to documentation issues on our side that caused a few days delay In closing. But drew Got us closed on our home after I came to him In a complete bind and in desperation mode.they do communicate great over email and over the phone. As I learned it takes both sides working together.
