    I am very pleased with Southstars refinance process, and we owe it to Kimberly Watson. She moved everything along in a timely manner and was responsive to all our questions.     Best bank in the area! The entire banking team is friendly, super knowledgeable (especially Kimberly and Faith) and always willing to help. The best part is they actually get to KNOW their customers and will greet you by name as soon as you walk in. Its like walking into your own home made of money. 10 stars!

    The process of opening an account was fairly easy and pleasant. Service was friendly & professional. I was guided through choosing which accounts would suit me best, my questions were answered, & it was all done in a timely manner. I would suggest to count on being there for at least 30mins.; I’m sure time may vary depending on what your needs are & how many questions you might have. They also made me comfortable with a nice cup of coffee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    The customer service is outstanding. I had failed to notice that my payment did not go through for our rental home (I simply transfer money from the app from our southstar checking account to the mortgage I have with southstar each month) and I received a very personal and friendly email about it from Trent. Thankfully they sent the email or I may not have noticed for a while!! We figure out why it was stopped and remedied the situation immediately! May move all my accounts here due to their customer service! And they are super friendly when I go in as well!

    I have been saying for years I was going to leave my big bank for a local one and the time finally came yesterday. I have used SouthStar for years on the mortgage side however had not made the switch with my checking accounts. Joyce took great care of me and was so welcoming to my new local banking family. I am thrilled to have made the move. Local and home town is definitely better in my opinion. I like having a personal relationship with my bank ... I had lost that and am so happy to finally get that back.

    Edit: I tried these folks out again after a manager called me and they have been very nice and helpful. They kick back my mobile deposits way too often (no issue with other banks), but other than that the staff is great and always remembers me. We now have our operating account with them, and I have a personal savings account with them as well.Waste of time; killed my whole lunch break here to find out they can’t take a personal check to open account without holding the funds for 7 days. It’s a shame because they’re close to my office, but now I’m not going to get to eat.

    Ive used SouthStar bank twice now, first when we bought our property (a lovely 35 acre farm) and then again a few years later when we wanted to build our dream home on our property. Kimberly Watson has always been AMAZING to deal with. They were able to understand what we wanted to do and work with us, while no other bank could handle such a large piece of land initially, and then building the house on it. They worked with us through the whole process, and were extremely friendly, caring, and really wanted us to be a part of the process and a part of the community. I wouldnt look anywhere else for my needs, thats for sure!

    Dylan Wald at SouthStar Bank was absolutely wonderful! He helped us get a fourplex with a low down payment when no other lender could!     I love this bank. When you call them on the phone, you actually get someone in a few rings. A person! They know me and for the first time in a long time, I feel that they actually care about me and my business! They offer CARD VALET which is a really good protection on my debit card.
