I had the pleasure of working with Rasty to purchase my first home. He was incredibly helpful, transparent, responsive, friendly and always willing to answer any questions I had.Rasty worked from the beginning to get me qualified, then shared the pros and cons of each loan type to get me the cheapest loan possible from the beginning through the years to come.He is very knowledgeable, personable, honest and helpful. He will shoot you straight with the numbers so you can have a realistic idea of the cost to buy up front and the monthly payment.Rasty would call and send email updates with a recorded video for each step along the way. These were really helpful for explaining the steps as well as a reference for later.I would highly recommend Rasty to anyone looking to purchase a home, whether its your first time or one hundredth time.

We compared Benchmark with several mortgage companies and narrowed our list down to 3 (including our own banking institution that we have used for 40+ years). Not only did Benchmark come through with the best financial offer for us and our current situation, they looked at several options for us to consider in funding our new home that could save us money in the long term. When I say Benchmark or they, I mean Rasty Goodwin and his staff. He was patient, very personable and so knowledgeable and experienced that he often seemed to anticipate our next questions! He quickly returned our emails, texts and phone calls. He took the time to get to know us and our interests and sent information on upcoming events in the community in which he thought we would be interested. These two companies (other than our local bank) were recommended to us based on high praise feedback from others. I believe that Rasty was was the tipping point.
