This is likely gonna be a lengthy review, but for those that dont want to stick around for it, the TLDR version is that these folks are nothing short of fantastic, and should the need arise again, Pilgrim Mortgage will be THE FIRST (and likely only) people I call to help me. I confidently and happily rate them 9.9 out of 10...and Ill give a droll reason why its 9.9 at the end.Our mortgage work-up for our new home was being handled and drafted by Freedom Mortgage, but there ended up being a couple problems that arose that were not communicated to us. There was about a week of silence from them, only for my wife to get a call less than a week before our closing, saying we were turned down for the home loan. We immediately called our realtor (Kelly Rogers of the Jason Mitchell Group, who is also 9.9 out of 10) to fill her in on what happened, and she immediately provided us with two options to contact - one of whom was Cary Tennis of Pilgrim Mortgage.Cary and her team were ON THE BALL from the very beginning. They were actively handling a couple other closings, but despite being such a relatively small team, I (and more importantly, my wife) never felt as though our situation took a backseat. They gathered information from both us and Freedom Mortgage, and after working through a couple options, they ended up coming up with a viable option that was BETTER than what was proposed by FM. And it all came together really quickly (it wouldve been faster, but FM seems to enjoy their red tape). On top of that, even while Pilgrim Mortgage was working their magic, at no point did they drop the ball on communication to make sure we were aware where we were at in our process. Emailing, calling, and even texting if necessary to update us daily...especially since there was such a time crunch till our closing.If I find myself in a situation anywhere close to this again, Pilgrim Mortgage is who Im calling. Ill also refer anyone thats looking to get home loans done and done well.As for why I only rated Pilgrim Mortgage and Kelly Rogers a 9.9, thats because nothing is perfect...but frankly, this team of people had me questioning that way of thinking. They were wonderful to talk with, exchange with, collaborate with, and, to my fellow introverts, they were just pleasant to deal with.Id like to thank the folks at Pilgrim Mortgage again, as well as Kelly Rogers that put us in touch with Pilgrim Mortgage at a moment when my wife and I really didnt know which way to turn.- Signed by one extremely appreciative man on the internet residing in Bryan, TX

When buying our home in Bryan, we couldn’t have gone with a better loan officer than Mitchell Kleckley at Pilgrim Mortgage - College Station. Mitchell and his team were super responsive, informative, and efficient in getting us prequalified and getting all of our mortgage loan documents in order. The process was super seamless and Mitchell was always keeping us updated throughout the process. He is very, very informative and competent. He communicated with our real estate agent and builder directly, relieving us of the need to go through all the back and forth. We were also very pleasantly surprised when we found out that Pilgrim Mortgage was a preferred lender for our builder, and we were offered additional incentives. We had a very bad experience with the disorganization of Fairway Mortgage when refinancing a few years ago, so I was nervous to go through this whole process again - Mitchell proved me wrong, and we couldn’t be happier! I received Mitchells information from my realtor 3 days before I submitted the offer on my property. Before handing over my financial documents, I wanted to ensure Mitchell was a great fit for my purchase. During our initial conversation, Mitchell took the time to explain the entire process. Mitchell stated that he asks his clients for their financial documents upfront so that we can craft a pre-approval letter. This is to avoid issues with the loan during the underwriting phase. By doing his due diligence upfront, I had a much higher chance of my loan being approved, which it was!He also answered all of my questions and helped me double check my numbers. After I decided to move forward, Mitchell provided me with a list of the necessary documents. He reviewed my documents and drafter a pre-approval letter and provided it to my realtor to include in the offer package. During the entire process, Mitchell was very engaged and quick to provide responses to my many inquiries.After the closing, Mitchell stayed engaged and helped answer some of my follow-up questions.
