I can’t believe I’m a home owner and it’s all thanks to Tommy at New American Funding. So many said no to us because we have less than perfect credit and some flat out just did not want to put in the hard work but Tommy believed in us and we believed in him every time I was overwhelmed and had questions Tommy put me and my husband at ease he walked us through the whole process and made it happen. My experience with this company one of gratitude. Every thing they said they would do they did! Because of a terrible past marriage, I was carrying credit baggage from my exwife who had left me in terrible debt for over 15 years. Icouldnt get a break nowhere! Many mortgage companies promised to help me refinance but always come up short. I had to do some due diligence but with a 540 credit score , I didnt mind as long as i could get myself out of debt. I will admit that I was doubtful because of my past experiences with mortgage companies, but New American proved to be who they said they were! No only was I able to get my home refinanced, but also am now debt free with ALL of my debt paid! I have a new start for 2023! This is a real exciting time in my life and getting my life back to say the least. My Loan Officer Mr. Willie Hindman was the best. He dealt with my frustrations of me being impatient as well. Not knowing what to expect is stressful, yet he was there throughout the whole process. I owe him great gratitude for being there for me. If you use this company, just know that you must send in all required documents in a timely manner in order for them to help. Ive read many of these reviews of this company, and the negatives Ive read seems to be referencing wait times. I know what that means, to me its has everything to do with the customer providing what they need to get approved. I give this company 5+ stars for the excellent job they did for me. We found NAF through nerd wallet since they were one of the lowest % lenders. We got estimates from them, Chase, and UFCU. All the loan APRs were close, but NAFs was just slightly better. Additionally, being assigned a single loan officer who walked us through the entire process made it much easier than it would have been without one. Despite some frustrations during processing, were overall very happy with how we were treated.

I had an amazing experience working with Chris Winston out of Fort Worth. He really got things going swiftly and efficiently. He got us an incredible rate and made himself available outside normal “business hours” just to keep things moving. Tracey Tran was our loan processor out of California, and she was great as well. The underwriting process was somewhat tedious with a lot of back and forth, which was possibly also due to some of our unique financial situation. Also, they work on west coast time, which at times was somewhat of a small challenging as we got down to closing date. But, they always worked into the evening to get things done. They were very professional, got us an AMAZING rate, and we closed in 30 days (despite being Christmas and Nee Years holidays!). So I think that’s pretty amazing. I would 100% use them again. Wish them the best.

Very personable and focused on us as the customer during our refinance. As a less than ideal customer whom other lenders had ignored, they took the time to learn about us and develop a plan that would work for us and then proceeded to implement that plan. The Big Boys spend a lot in advertising how good they are and how they will work with you, our experience is that what they say is not backed up by their deeds. American Lending Company was the best choice I could have made when choosing the right mortgage company. I was told not to just go with one company to shop around and I did so. However, Reza Saatsaz was the politest, kindest, caring and professional individual I have ever worked with. It was a good experience working with New American Funding. The loan officer who initiated my loan process was a great person. He communicated with me in regular interval. However, the service needs to be improved with regards to the process at the later stage. For example, I had no idea about when my loan will be processed exactly, they asked for the same documents that I had already sent before, and the communication from their end started to phase out towards the end. More, importantly, I saw a change in my PMI amount while I was signing the contract with the notary. The issue is, it was not reflected in my final loan disclosure. The company needs to work in this area.
