    TL;DR - 6/5 stars. 11/10. All the thumbs up. I cant express in words how extraordinary it was to work with Michael and his team. I highly recommend that you give them a shot!The long version:Ive been dying to buy a home for almost 10 years, but unfortunately I always felt as though it was an insurmountable task. After a friend recommended me to Michael and his team (in an attempt to help me get over my worries), I just cant express how truly extraordinary Michael and his team are. From the beginning of my first call to the end of my last call (when I recently closed on my very first home), Michael and his team were there through the whole process. It took my builder 13 months to build my custom home and while there were some lulls during that time where they had no action items for me, they made sure to maintain a perfect harmony of communication and respect of my time. I couldnt believe how ridiculously easy the whole process was with them guiding me along the way and I didnt feel overwhelmed or alone in the darkness.Please give Michael and his team a shot for your all of your mortgage needs.     I had an amazing experience working with Michael on financing for the purchase of my new home. When I first reached out to him (based on a recommendation), it was solely to get an unbiased second opinion on the deal terms I had received from another broker. Something seemed off to me, and Michael offered to talk with me--zero pressure--and give me his unfiltered view. At no point did he give me an aggressive sales pitch, but his advice and guidance was very valuable to me, so he won my business anyway.This transaction required a very fast close on a fairly large loan, which can be a bit of a tricky feat to pull off. But Michael and his team (most notably Marijane) did an absolutely incredible job of making it as painless and low stress as possible along the way. They struck a fantastic balance of keeping me informed and being in touch along the way while being incredibly respectful of my busy schedule. The terms were more competitive than I had been previously quoted, and they were provided with full transparency, which was extremely important to me in trusting that I was entering into a favorable agreement.     Michael facilitated a Reverse Mortgage home purchase for my retired parents. He was extremely professional and explained for me and my parents the options available to them. He was never pushy and allowed us to choose the best option for them among various products he offers. We appreciated his patience, professionalism, and persistence in getting this done. My parent submitted a contract on a home over the Christmas/New Year holidays of 2021. Michael exceeded all expectations and met all deadlines.     Everything had been going well over the past two years since refinancing an existing mortgage. The application process, approval, servicing website, everything had been very smooth, nothing but the best service. I then had a minor issue arise. We had a wind loss claim on our home and, unfortunately, I had put off getting the check cosigned until the last minute. An issue arose as part of a minor miscommunication in terms of where the check was to be forwarded for endorsement.To make a long story short, I feared that this miscommunication and misdirected check coupled with my procrastination were going to result in the check expiring and a huge hassle on my part to go through the process again. Mr. Inkman nor his branch were in any way involved with my account or account management, yet, the check inadvertently ended up in their draft loss department and I feared this would further delay things. I was a bit frantic.One of those that I emailed was Mr. Inkman. In an era when customer service is not as valued as in the past, I was very skeptical I would meet the deadline. But, to my surprise, Mr. Inkman took it on his own to personally get things done and get the issue resolved. It appears that he tracked down the overnighted check personally, directed it for signature, packaged and overnighted the check back to me. All the while remaining professional and pleasant and providing consistent email updates on the status. It doesnt even look like he delegated, rather taking the initiative and seeing it through on his own.To me, thats not just doing a job, thats going above and beyond in terms of leadership, professionalism, and customer service. We could not be more happy. And, as a further sign of good will, the Fairway CEO actually emailed me personally to follow-up and assure resolution. Been very happy with Fairway since my refinance, Mr. Inkmans efforts only further reinforce that opinion.

    What makes Mr. Inkman stand out among the competition out there for home loans, is he honest! He doesn’t put you in a loan you can’t afford and will tell you what you need to do first if it’s not in your best interest to get a home loan when you meet with him. He doesn’t just say no, I can’t get you a loan, he will actually give you a plan so you can get in a loan that you can afford. He helps you by explaining what you need to do to improve your credit score etc. I have dealt with a lot of mortgage brokers and they can be the same as a used car salesman, a lot of brokers are just trying to get you in a loan no matter what, even when it’s to the point you won’t be able to afford it. Mr. Inkman will not put you in a loan period unless you can afford it and it’s in your best interest to do it. I think that’s what makes him stand out. I referred him to many of my friends, some got loans, some preferred to go with him even if he ended up being a little hirer than the other offers they received (they chose him because of the trust in him which most felt if he couldn’t do the same than something is wrong), some had to do some work before getting one, and others he said, he can’t beat what you have been offered and its a good deal. I really do not know many people that would be honest enough to turn down business just to tell the truth…….to a potential client that the offer they were given by a competitor is better than what he can do (new construction/cash offers) I don’t know many in this particular business who are trustworthy and actually cares to ensure you get the best possible loan, but a loan you can afford. As he always says, you never want to be “house poor!” I think his straightforward approach to loans is what has made him continue to provide loans even after the crash when mortgage brokers went bankrupt, but not Mr Inkman. Banks trust him because he never did the somewhat, okay yes “shady” loans which caused the crash and when he approves you for a loan, it’s a loan you can afford. You honestly can’t go wrong and he will tell you the truth and I think that is priceless! Plus, he’s a really cool guy, lol, but you will like him. He personally helped me tremendously when I thought I wanted to buy a house, weighing my options, and helping me make the best decision for me. I think you can’t put a price on quality advice, I made my own decision, but he provided me with multiple sound options making my own decision easier. I definitely recommend him and have recommended him so many times over the years, he’s just the best in the business!
