They have processes in place and follow them to a T, to ensure that nothing gets missed. I love all the little heads up notes they send, so you know what to expect. I especially appreciated the note about staying OFF of the lists that get sold to vendors and other lenders, who bombard you with sales pitches.... THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! Just closed on my first home in Austin all thanks to Kristin! My partner found the Leaman team on Yelp, and we reached out to them and a few other mortgage brokers/banks to get the best rate. Mind you, we were very new to the home buying process, and never really fully understood what everything entailed, even after countless of readings and videos. Kristin helped make everything clearer. From the get go, Kristin was extremely responsive and patient with all our questions. I would call her all the time to ask questions, and she would even take time to go through documents to make sure that i understand every line and every cost associated with my mortgage and closing. She would even go the extra mile and read through documents provided by other brokers and help me compare and contrast to help me better understand which provided a better deal. Because I was on a non-immigrant visa, getting a loan was much harder and uncertain, but Kristin was always sure to note my visa status and help get me the best loan there was. On her team, Coral, who handled the underwriting process towards closing was also amazing. She always followed up on every document needed, and gave me a time line on when things should be in, and alternatives if needed, to make sure we closed on time. Although I was offered a better rate by a different mortgage broker, I eventually went with Kristin because I had so much more trust in her and her capabilities, which speaks alot about how amazing Kristin is. I definitely understand how her team gets solid 5 star reviews on yelp this whole time! Would definitely recommend Kristin for your mortgage broker if you need one! P.S. our agent also recommended Loan People, so you can only imagine how much the realtor field loves them too!

I was introduced to Max in 2012 when I needed a mortgage on my first home. Like many first time buyers, I didnt know much about mortgages, rates, float downs or points, but he educated me on all of it and offered the lowest rate. He was communicative every step of the way and we even did part of the underwriting document exchange during our trip abroad.When buying our second home in 2017, I made an error. I talked to Max, but ended up going with the competition. They were offering a slightly lower rate. Let me tell you.... things are not always as they seem. After the competitor requested a treasure trove of documents, the bank underwriting the loan was not going to honor the original offer. It ended up working out, but it wasnt an easy experience and created stress along the way.When we decided to buy an investment property. I knew I wasnt going to mess around with the competition, because it wasnt worth the heartburn. Max offered a competitive rate, once again explained everything I would need to do, and it all came to fruition when we closed on time and there were no last minute surprises.As one of our famous ex-presidents said, Theres an old saying that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you cant get fooled again.
