Ive completed several projects with Hornet as both a borrower and a contractor and theyre far and away the best group Ive worked with out of dozens of lenders. Incredibly easy and fast, especially with the draw process and pay outs. Ill use them for every possible deal that I can, and all my other contractors hope I do as well since theres never an issue with them getting paid quickly. Happy contractors make a happy borrower.

Ive had the opportunity to work with Hornet Capital for funding two deals, a couple of years apart, each surpassing the $1 million mark. My experience with them has been exceptionally smooth and professional. They were able to expedite our second loan on very short notice—little more than a week, demonstrating their flexibility and commitment to customer needs. While I wouldnt generally advise pushing for such tight timelines, its worth noting that Hornet Capital can accommodate urgent requests if your deal is solid. The team is not only friendly and professional but also ensures that transactions are completed punctually. Its clear that hard money loans come with higher costs, but Hornet Capital significantly simplifies the process, making the financial aspect more manageable. Highly recommend their services for those looking for reliable and efficient hard money lending.

The customer service from John Strawn is incredible. He makes the draw/ AP process as easy as possible. Hornet does an excellent job approving and funding loans quickly. Highly recommend them for any short-term bridge loans. There is room for improvement in their interest rates especially for regular clients with more than 1 project, fees (lots of fees), and term of loans (very rarely can one build a 6K+ SF home within 12 months these days).

I had shown my deal to 2 other lenders who passed saying they could not figure out the value. Hornet Capital bet on me and the property and we all won! I nearly want to show the other two lenders what I sold for even in this down market, just to rub in their faces that they had been very wrong. Hornet Capital is very organized with every part of the process, the funding, the construction funds, and closing out. Their loan terms were fair and the up front costs to work with them were also measured and fair. It was a great experience with them, I mean that. I will be working with them again when I find another deal. highly recommend.
