I started working with guidance about a year ago with Mrs. Amber, the account executive to gather all the information for the home buying process as I was first time home buyer.. Mrs.Amber provided me with all the information I needed at the time. When I was finally ready, I contacted Mrs. Amber and within two days i was approved unconditionally and ready to go a house hunting. I must say that Mrs. Amber is very patient, knowledgeable and was always there to answer my questions regardless of the time or day. Thank you sister Amber for always calming me down on the days when I felt that you were asking me too many documents and giving me trainings.Thank you for always being there up to this day.Later in the process, my file got moved to the closing department. Overall experience of financing new house with Guidance was good. In the beginning it was smooth and great. We were mostly required to provide some documents during and after pre-approval. However, in the very last week of closing, this process got a bit hectic. We received our final disclosure on the very last day. It would have been great if we would have received it 2 to 3 days in advance. We still managed to successfully finance our new house with Guidance. Account executive (Ammar Khan) at Guidance was helpful and gave us great suggestions.

Im glad that we decided to use Guidance for our mortgage. First of all, Ms. Heena Ali helped us in filing the application. But the most important thing was that Mr. Muhammad Salam convinced us to use Guidance as an Islamic way of financing our new home. He spent two sessions (2-3hrs each) with us over a weekend to go over each and everything on the mortgage and explained why Guidance is different than the conventional financing. Basically, the commitment of Mr Salam and his understanding of all my concerns was a tipping point for us to go with the Guidance. Now, we were in a hurry to close in 2 weeks’ time. I believe Ms Ali and Mr Salam were on top of things and whenever there was progress made on my application or if there was something needed from us, they contacted us out of the way and out of the working hours to reach our goal. Because of all their efforts we were able to close on the due date. We as a family really appreciate their help and it was a pleasure working with this team.

I’m writhing this review as a sign of gratitude to Guidance Residential and Motasem Abdulrahman our account executive. We closed our new construction home with them end of September and Im very pleased with the overall experience. They really worked as a team to expedite our closing and helped us to move in to our home on time. Brother Motasem was very responsive and even talked to me or replied to my concern sometime late night. I wanted to get faith-based financing and they really help me through with the process. The things that I’m not happy with and nothing to do with brother Motasem, with their profit Rates, discount points and PMI charges. I strongly would recommend them to find ways to stay competitive with the market. Our credit rating was great but still felt like they charged the most in profit rates and PMI comparing with other conventional bank, where I had no intention to go. Overall Alhamdulillah, we have a place to call home and Allah knows we have tried to keep our faith-based home financing according to Sharia laws. May Allah grant our good deeds, Ameen.

I am satisfied with using Guidance Residentials services for the purchase of my home. They were able to close on time and their estimates of closing costs from start to finish were conservative, which is good- but trying to come up with a cost closer to actual would have put me more at ease. Br. Mohammed Salam was my account executive and was knowledgeable of the whole loan process and the Shariah compliance, which was certainly helpful. I wish Guidance would just document this entire process in their website about how exactly their services are different from a regular mortgage- with all the tiny details, so that prospective buyers can read at their own pace and come up with questions.I would have given five stars, but taking off one because I felt the communication near the closing time could have been better- I was worried that we would miss the closing date. But overall, they are professionals and would recommend them.
