    We found this company by following the typical questionnaires to see if wed even have the ability to purchase a home. Being a 1st time buyer was definitely scary, but when you have someone like Corey Allen who has the knowledge and expertise to explain all the details to you, it makes the process less challenging and intimidating. Corey went above and beyond for us (even went as far as to take my calls with 50million questions while on his personal time off) We cant thank him enough for his dedication and willingness to work with newbies like us to get into the home that we can now call ours.... thanks Corey for your time, willingness to educate and assistance throughout the process.Wed also like to thank Brandi Bennett for working with us to make sure we had all of the documentation in order to reach our closing date!

From pre approval through closing (7 days early) she provided advice, support, explanations, and patience.Yes, Great Western is more expensive than some lenders on the front end, but Kathy worked to save our interest rate and lock it in on the day the fed hiked interest rates, saving us tens of thousands over the life of our loan.Overall we had an extremely positive experience with this company. We worked to make sure we always had everything they asked for on the same day and also to keep in touch about every detail. In short, if you work for yourself and keep up with everything, Great Western will work with you to get you in the home of your dreams.

    Overall great experience!!We worked with Jacob and his team and our refinance was handled seamlessly! The team was very accessible for questions and I appreciated the detailed communication about progress throughout the process. As a company, Great Western is making great effort to make this process as easy as possible on customers - you can upload your required documents to a secure portal, we were able to eSign multiple documents and the ones we had to sign in person were brought to our house by a mobile notary! Our notary even commented that Great Westerns packets were some of the most concise packets he has had experience with!

    Purchased a home with GW Loans recently and had a really positive experience with Matt Smeyers and his team. As a first time home buyer, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in many of the intricacies of these transaction and were there at every step to handle any questions I had. They also helped negotiate a great closing window with pushy sellers who were trying to close after a ridiculous turnaround time. We had already gone through the whole process with another lender and a month before closing, Ryan Melton reached out with the promise of a lower rate and same closing date. He was very friendly, professional, and responsive. He kept his promises and we closed on time with a lower rate. Now, in September 2020, we are refinancing at a much lower rate again. Ryan reached out to see if we would be interested in taking advantage of the low rates and we jumped at the opportunity. The refinance process has also been very smooth and stress-free.     Ryan Melton is the BEST!! Ryan is without a doubt the best loan officer in the world. I probably talked to him 50 times or more through the process of buying our house. He always made time to answer my questions and if he was busy, he always called me back.     I had the pleasure of working with Ryan and Great Western on my recent home purchase. From first contact to final closure, the process and experience of working with Ryan and his team at Great Western was nothing short of spectacular! The overall process started in March 2017. I had signed a contract to build a new home, yet didnt have my current house (at the time) on the market yet. I was seeking to get conditionally approved in order to move forward with the new construction and was under a time restriction given by the builder.At first contact with Ryan, he took it upon himself to escalate internally within Great Western and find me a great product. He was also able to turn it around in a matter of days to meet the builders requirements. Thats only the beginning.....Being that this was a new construction loan, I sold my previous residence and moved into a rental during the construction phase. Ryan and his team made it a priority to keep in constant contact on a monthly basis in order to check on progress, provide their assistance and assurance that everything on their end continued orderly and in line. This personal touch really helped me have a sense of mind knowing that my lender was truly engaged in this venture.From there, everything was so smooth I didnt think it could be real....but it was! Ryan & Melanie were ALWAYS available via email and cell. They answered every inquiry, communication, etc very quickly and clearly all the way up until the day we closed.Ryan and his team (Brandi & Melanie) maintained a personal relationship with me throughout this entire process. Im sure this is not so common amongst the other, endless mortgage companies in the market who treat you as just another revenue producer.These guys are great. Professional, friendly, honest, knowledgeable, easy to work with and personable.     Ryan Melton, of Great Western Financial connected with me immediately after I looked at houses on Zillow on-line. Ryan did a pre-pre-qualification on the phone immediately afterwards and asked if I was connected with a realtor and I said, “No.” Ryan asked if he could recommend two individuals to me which I said yes. Working with the team Ryan had in place I had a house, which was in a very competitive market, in two weeks! With a VA Loan from start to finish Ryan’s team had me closed in 3 ½ weeks!!!
