We enjoyed working with Dan and Celebrity Home Loans and will recommend them in the future. My partner and I are closing on our first home tomorrow. Dan was helpful and informative through the whole process - from pre-approval, multiple offers, and finally closing.We had a lot of questions and concerns with trying to navigate the home buying process (not to mention the current home buying competition in Austin). Dan always responded patiently - we had many phone calls, text and email exchanges. I always came away feeling more educated and comfortable with our mortgage.Our realtor suggested we include a pre-approval letter with each offer and Dan was always quick to provide. In total we made 6 offers. Dan worked really well with our realtor. She is planning to recommended him to buyers in the future. We had a great team in our corner!I will say the appraisal took longer than we expected but Dan did order it the day after our offer was accepted. I believe this delay was due to the winter storm aftermath. The appraiser also charged us quite a bit over the usual rate. Dan included a credit to our closing disclosure to make up for this.I also really liked the Celebrity Home Loans portal. It was intuitive and the milestones were clearly displayed. It was satisfying to watch the milestones get green checks next to them as we approached closing. The document section was also great - just to have everything together in one place. Very easy to navigate and upload new documents.Finally, Dan got us a great rate and worked hard for us even before we were under contract. Buying a home in Austin is very tough right now and I don’t think we could have done it without Dan Peterson.
