If youre looking for an amazing mortgage lender, Stephen is your guy. My wife and I were buying our first home and were completely new to the process. Out of everyone we spoke with, Stephen was the most helpful. He always answered our calls or called us back immediately when he was available. As the rates dropped he kept us in the loop and advised when he felt we should lock in. Hes incredibly down to earth and patient (we asked a lot of questions). Ive already recommended him to friends and if you choose to work with him I am confident you will have a great lending experience.

As first-time home buyers in a crazy market, my husband and I were a little overwhelmed and intimidated by the whole process. Stephen and his team made everything easy to understand and worry-free. He took the time to answer the many questions we had and also kept us in the loop with weekly updates. I also want to shout out Brenda who also provided us with excellent service and was there to answer all my questions. I came to Stephen as a first time home buyer knowing absolutely nothing about getting a mortgage. I was terrified and horribly confused about the entire process, but I couldnt have asked for a better person to work with! Stephen was always available to answer every one of my questions (of which I has so so many!) and took the time to educate me and help me understand what was going on. He worked to get me the best rates possible and I am extremely happy with how it all went down! Him and his team (I’m talking to you Tracey!) worked so quickly to stick with my timeline and make everything as smooth as possible. 10/10 would recommend!!!

This is my third house I’ve purchased in my lifetime (first with my husband) and I have to say I have never had a lender like Steve Babcock. First on a Saturday he sat down with my husband and I for 2 hours and explained everything we needed to know about the home buying process and answered every question we had. When we made offers on house he made personal calls to the sellers agent to give us a recommendation (who does that....Steve does). Then he found an amazing program for us that covered over $10,000 of our closing cost. Every step along the way he was there to help and answer questions. THE MOST amazing lender I’ve ever met. Home buying can be stressful but not with Steve in your corner. I would recommend Steve to every one looking for a stress free home buying experience. Thank you Steve for helping us get our dream home! Couldn’t have done it without you!

We had a VERY challenging situation trying to buy our home. Stephen and his assistant Tracey Mastrud worked tirelessly to either make the deal happen or find someone who could. Stephen is someone who is going to treat you the way you would want to be treated - not as just another client. His level of professionalism was second to none and he kept us informed almost daily. I quickly felt as if I had a friend helping me through the process rather than a loan officer. Whether a simple or challenging real estate transaction I highly recommend Stephen!

Stephen and his team at Benchmark were absolutely AMAZING throughout our home buying process. My husband and I were first time home buyers that have put off purchasing a home for years because the entire process seemed so confusing and scary. Our realtor was the one who recommended Stephen to us because she knew how great he is at explaining the process especially for first time home buyers. Stephen brought us into his office and spent an hour going over the entire process with us. He asked our expectations and what we thought we could afford and he helped us set expectations as far as what he thought we could afford monthly. He went over literally EVERY DETAIL with us. I didn’t realize how little I knew about the process until then and I am so extremely grateful that he did that. We purchased our home in the month of December (closed on New Years Eve) and even with all of the holidays and everything going on we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a reply from somebody on the team. Everyone kept explaining to me how frustrating buying a home is, but I never once felt the frustration everyone else seems to feel. I 100% understood what was going on every step of the way because Stephen and Olga (who went above and beyond in every way) made sure we were all on the same page. They also use a website to help keep all of your documents organized and it lets you know what you need to send and what you have already sent. It also keeps you updated on where you are at in the process. I would STRONGLY recommend Stephen for anyone looking to purchase a home and especially a first time home buyer. You will not be disappointed!
