I have had the pleasure to work with Sheri McKim, a few times now and every time she has not disappointed! Her communication, transparency, and experience gives the buyer, and even the seller the ability to be put at ease through the escrow process! Giving weekly updates and not waiting to the last minute to bring up an issue (if there is). In my experience she is always a head of time and ready to get the file from day one of execution to the closing table ahead of schedule. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to purchase or refi.

We have been in our dream house for 3 months thanks to Sheri at Benchmark Mortgage! We started looking at homes in January and were working with a large online mortgage service. They didn’t answer the phone and the rate we were quoted was over 7%.We decided to get a second opinion and I contacted Benchmark. Sheri answered on the first call, got my information, and was able to give me several preliminary options over the phone. We were able to secure a TX Vet mortgage with a rate under 5% thanks to Sheri. She was always available, willing to get on a call with me and explain things, even checked in over the weekend. Buying our dream house was an excellent process with Sheri at Benchmark!

Sheri and her team were topnotch. From the first moment we had contact with her and her team, right up to when we closed they were always available to assist with any questions we had. Sheri even answered an email while on vacation in the Caribbean. They got me a really good interest rate on my mortgage. What amazed me throughout the entire process is I actually never met any one of them in person. All documents for pre-closing were accomplished electronically. This is such a great way to go. You can do it on your time and not have to make an appointment to meet in an office. A very different process than our first house 25 years ago. I definitely would recommend Sheri and Benchmark Mortgage.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the stellar service we received from Sheri Mckim and her staff at Benchmark Mortgage! I am a veteran that has made VA home purchases in the past. I used to look at the process as a dreadful experience. When my wife and I were looking to buy again, the lender we started with ended up trying to take advantage of us. I made a call to Benchmark and I knew within a matter of minutes that I had made the right decision. Sheri and her team made the process so quick and stress free. Working with Sheri was rather seamless. This was my first home purchase and Sheri was very efficient, even though I was a nervous wreck. The online set up saves time and resources but you do have to be comfortable with that. I cant say that I was but thats how these things are done these days. I got used to it. She kept me on my toes and even attended my closing. You can tell that she enjoys what she does and thats something you really do want, when you are nervous. She was an expert so I didnt have to be.Update/Refi... As we all know, Covid has done a number on the old economy around here and the interest rates took a nice little dive. I had thought seriously about inquiring about a refi. My loan was really new, after all, so starting over wasnt that big of a deal, if it would save me money in the long run. Well, I didnt have a large nest egg built back up so I decided it wasnt something I could do, closing costs and down payments being a thing and all. Enter Sheri. She called me and suggested that I get in on these rates, while they were still good. Well, I agreed with her and off to the races we went. The next thing you know, Im closed again with a brand new interest rate and a lower house payment, with nothing out of pocket. Again, the process was smooth and the fees and costs didnt eat up everything Ive paid over the last couple of years. Im still ahead. Sheri used her expertise again to get me down to the rate, that I really feel I should have started with, but times were very different then. However, if it werent for Sheri, Id still have that ugly rate. Shes my hero again! Ill tell you what. If you need a mortgage, call this woman. If youre terrified of the process, shes the one you need. As lost as you may be, she doesnt make you feel stupid and she walks you through it all. I really appreciate her calling me.
