There are many long-short hedge fund managers in the investment universe, but very few, if any, can construct a portfolio with the sustained, long-term performance such as the LRT Long-Short strategy. Lukasz Tomicki, CFA develops robust models and simulations to assist in the identification and selection of high-quality securities, which are then rigorously analyzed for fundamental, rewarded factor exposures. Mr. Tomicki then calibrates optimal portfolio construction guided by risk parity theory. Each security is assessed for market sensitivity and rewarded factor exposures and then uniquely paired with appropriate short positions. Returns are amplified using optimal leverage and hedges to produce superior alpha while controlling portfolio volatility.
