    After deciding to have an estate sale at our parents home of 42 years in northwest Houston, we interviewed a number of Estate Sale companies. We selected Houston Estate Sales & Appraisals with Valerie, after the on-site evaluation and interview provided confidence they were the right company for this huge job. Valerie and her team delivered such thoughtful care and accuracy to our parents belongings throughout the entire estate sale preparation and execution processes. Their 5000 square foot home was literally filled to the beams with so many items we were overwhelmed. Valerie and her team came in -- unfazed -- and handled the research of fair market values, categorizing, polishing/cleaning items for their best presentation, and treated every single item as though it had value . . . with the utmost respect for our love and emotions. It was amazing the time and effort her team devoted to this task, and in the end, all that hard work resulted in an extraordinarily organized showroom of items in their house. She relieved a huge burden and, ultimately, helped in our grief by providing closure. We are extremely grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and the kindness of her capable staff. Valerie clearly has a devoted following among Estate Sale attendees due to her organization and professionalism displaying sales items. Her endeavors incorporate substantial advertising efforts that assisted in ensuring a hugely successful outcome, both financially and in delivering a cleared out home, so we could progress property sales. Valerie had been recommended to us and we would certainly recommend her to anybody embarking on an estate sale. We had never conducted or even attended an estate sale. Having a person and company as qualified as Valerie and Houston Estate Sales and Appraisals is a great way to navigate through this event, which can be an emotionally difficult time.

    My sister and I felt overwhelmed at the thought of clearing out and selling the things in our Mothers home of 50 years. We asked a friend who had been through the same thing and she had used Houston Estate Sales and Valerie Voinis. We reached out to Valerie and she met with me at our Mothers home. From the moment I met Valerie and her assistant, I could sense that they were professional, informed, and well versed in the best way to handle all the ins and outs of an estate sale. Valerie assessed the household and we agreed to the timing and terms of the sale. From there, Valerie and her team took care of EVERYTHING! We were overwhelmed at how well everything was prepared for the sale. And all of our mothers belongings were handled with care and respect. Shelves and tables were brought in for display. And they went the extra mile in showcasing everything to maximize it beauty and value. Our mothers jewelry, purses, clothes and shoes looked like a retail store display. Details were written on sale tags to help the consumer know what they were buying and to understand the pricing. For example, Valerie found the same or similar items at rug specialty stores, jewelry stores or art stores and put the information on the tag about current pricing and value. Everything in the house was categorized and consolidated. For example, every pair of scissors in the house was in one basket. Games, dishes, toys, holiday decorations, small appliances, tools, etc were grouped together and displayed.It was shocking how many people attended the sale and it wasnt even a particularly good weather weekend. We were so pleased with how beautifully set up the house was for the estate sale. Houston Estate Sales did an excellent job advertising the sale and people showed up!! When we visited the house right after the sale, it was shocking to see how little was left. The next day, Valerie had arranged for a clear out with a charity and there wasnt much left to clear out. The house was left in clean, cleared out condition. Valerie and her team are honest, dependable and sensitive to the needs of the family. I cant say enough about how appreciative we are to have worked with them. They made a hard sad task much less upsetting and we are grateful. I HIGHLY recommend Houston Estate Sales without hesitation.

    Things may only be things, and we can’t take them with us in the end; however, I want to express my gratitude. I had never waited in line at an estate sale before, so I was not sure what to expect when I went to one near the Galleria, just north of Westheimer. (Anticipation was great as many had seen photos in advance.) It was organized by Valerie and her team at “Houston Estate Sales.”Several decades ago, I did inventory for different companies, and I believe that “Houston Estate Sales” did an excellent job at organizing. It must have been a great deal of work. I was only there to witness the opening hours in the morning, but they were very professional. They had a hold shelf, so shoppers could keep browsing after finds. There was also a police officer to control the crowd. The security service was very attentive and professional at maintaining awareness. Everyone was kind and courteous.It is interesting how so many people with positive passions or hobbies might come together in one place to appreciate and express the joy of discovery. The process was an appreciation of a lifes work, and we were all witnesses to the beauty of artists and connoisseurs, and of lives lived. It was a large sale. It was an event - a happening. The excitement was noticeable.I did not spend a lot of money on what I wanted, and the prices were very reasonable. The real value was in the quality of items that could be bought in one place. Many garage sales tend to be by people who dont share similar interests, or theyre just clearing out a couple of closets. Sometime theyre good, but it seems like you have to do more legwork (driving) to get something specific at typical yard sales.Estate sales on the other hand tend to represent the more complete efforts of a life’s appreciation, and estate sales may deserve greater appreciation in-turn -if not reverence as well.I was very excited about finding something special that I had thought of looking for in advance. I bought some art supplies to share with my mother, and she was very pleased.Again, the items may only be material things, but we hope to put them to good use. This sale left me with a sense of accomplishment and joy; such adventures could become addictive.     The most unbelievable person to work with in the greater Houston Area. Valerie is always smiling and working hard to please both her customers and clients. Having the luxury of working with many estate managers in the area I can boldly say Valerie is the most polished, genuine, and pleasant to work with. She treats her clients with the utmost respect and works hard to maximize their estate. Her customer service skills also attribute to a wonderful shopping experience. If your looking to buy or liquidate I would always start with Houston Estate Sales.
