    We built our dream home with Summit Oak Homes. After interviewing and working with other builders, Summit Oak Homes was the only builder who understood what we wanted within our budget. Greg was very accommodating to help us design a floorplan that suited our lot. Tabitha provided a lot of guidance with the design and finishes, so that we got the look we wanted without breaking the bank. Erica kept everything on budget to the penny. She was extremely helpful in comparing prices so that we could make good decisions during the build process. Clay was the project manager and made sure that everything went according to the time schedule. The whole team was awesome. They made our long distance project run smoothly and resolved any issues promptly. We highly recommend them.

    He is building an addition to my existing house. So far, he met or exceeded our expectation with his wealth of knowledge and great advices. He inspects all his jobs almost everyday to ensure quality, which is hard to expect from big builders. He is trust worthy and always availabe when issues rise. He is not afraid of fixing things to make it right even if it costs him more. Our project is about 90% completed, which is on time, and I cannot wait to see the end product, my master bedroom with a huge closet. One more thing. He has great staff, who are very kind, respectful and pay attention to details.

    My wife and I could not be happier with our new home built by Summit Oak. Greg took the time to listen to our design ideas and worked with us to arrive at a floor plan that is perfect for us. It is obvious that Greg puts a lot of thought into his work.Erica was crucial in helping us to get the ideal interior look and touches we were going for. Keep in mind, she had to deal with my wife’s constant changes and amendments. She handled it well.Maryann was key in keeping us abreast of the job progress and weekly email updates.Clay and the construction crew were awesome. I was really impressed by the professionalism and clean job site, as well as the level of craftsmanship they possess.I cannot recommend Summit Oaks Builders enough. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing!

    Have had two homes built by them. Our first home was built under S&D Homes, and within the year they moved to Summit Oak Homes. Had a few minor issues we wanted taken care of before the warranty expired...all issues were resolved by Summit Oak Homes with no complaints (not going to lie, I was worried since they switched companys). Went on to live in that house for 5 years...no issues.Fast forward, we just had our second home built by Summit Oak Homes and have been in the home for over a year. A few minor issues were resolved in a timely/professional manner.As for the review who stated Summit Oak is having issues in River Chase, I am not sure what issues they are talking about. We live in River Chase, and have had no issues at all.We were going to have stained concrete through out the house. David called a special meeting with the wife and I, made it perfectly clear the issues with stained concrete and how it wasnt Summit Oaks responsibility ones we took ownership of the house. Needless to say we spent a little more money and changed the flooring.David and Kim are great, and one thing I can respect the most is they are not worried to tell you like it is.Highly recommend, in fact I have recommended them to several people (who also built with them)

    I am pleased I selected Summit Oak Homes to build my home. I looked at homes by several tract builders and other custom builders before deciding Summit Oak Homes was building the best product with the best value. The framing materials were superior as was the cabinetry and other details. The staff and the owner/builder were very accommodating and accessible. The builder was often present on site as was the construction manager. The builder himself even came out to complete the work on some final checklist items. Summit Oak homes provided a level of service and product quality that is rare these days.

    Deciding to build with Summit Oak Homes was without question the best decision that we could have made. The owner of the company and his employees listened to what we envisioned for our home and made it happen. I have heard so many horror stories regarding the process of building a home, but I can not say enough how painless and easy it was for us. I worked with Kim who was amazing to work with and guided us through each step in the process. All the members of Summit Oak Homes (from the owner to the sales consultants to the workers) are the best of the best. I can not express enough how happy we are with the outcome of our home. I would strongly recommend Summit Oak Homes to anyone who is trying to find a honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and talented team to build their home.

    We are originally from California and decided to relocate. Texas was an ideal choice for us, as well as building a new home in the grater San Antonio area. Upon pinpointing our new city (New Braunfels), we gave Summit Oak Homes a try based on the website information. We scheduled a series of meetings with Kim Boyd to talk about our transition to Texas and share our vision for our new home. The staff was very courteous and open to our desires. In fact, Summit Oak Homes stood out and earned our business based on their non-cookie cutter approach to building. They did offer basic model homes, but only as a starting point to customize and add our own personal touch. Our awesome home is now built and planning to move into it fully this summer. Theres been small post-construction details that have been needed and all that it has taken is a quick online request for service. Summit Oak Homes has been very accommodating and responsive to our needs thus far. I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone wanting to build their dream home. I want to thank David Oestreich, and Kim Boyd and Tabitha Ellis for making it happen for us. Once again thank you all at Summit Oak Homes .

    As out of state buyers we looked at numerous communities and builders. But we kept coming back to Summit Oak Homes. We liked the fact all homes were one story in this community and you can customize the home to your specifications. They offer a variety of plans and lot sizes.Our process of build included several changes to the house, to which I must say they were all taken in a calm, professional manner by Kim Boyd, sales consultant. Any issues were discussed and rapidly resolved.We have moved into our lovely home an would highly recommend builder David Oestreich, Kim Boyd sales consultant and all the staff of Summit Oak Homes to build your future home.Mark and Alice

    We have been beyond happy and impressed with Summit Oaks. The whole team has been great helpful. We feel like we will be long term family with the staff. Our house is truly amazing and beautiful. The whole process has been easy and stress free. Even with several weeks of bad weather, they have made up for it and kept the planned dates/schedule on track. They keep the subcontractors on schedule and ready to go, one after another. This is a great company and family owned business that has made an impact on our life. Even through all of our annoying questions and emails they never blinked an eye.It’s the little things that truly impress me with Summit Oak Homes. I just learned that all the lightbulbs installed by Summit Oak are LED. Now to some people they may not think much of that, but for me that is a big deal. I’m sure most builders don’t go the extra mile to put in LED’s, the other builders use the cheapest bulbs they can find. Summit Oak once again takes the extra step to make things perfect.     Kim at Summit Oak Homes was fantastic to work with. She was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire process.While she deserves 5 stars, the company they use for home loans gets one star. They are the worst loan company I have ever worked with; Caliber Home Loans. They are not worth the free blinds you get by working with them.

    My husband and I love our Summit Oak Home (SOH). They are nothing like the cookie cutter builders around town. SOH builds a custom home with a quality finish.We started with one of the SOH floor plans but made changes to include more square footage, large entryway, nice size walk-in-shower and three car garage. Kim listened to what we wanted and everything was included in the new floor plan drawings. Throughout the process Kim was very responsive and helpful.I monitored the building closely. Coming to the site several times each week. The people building these homes are not laborers that move from one project to another, they are craftsmen. I noticed this throughout construction. The framing wood did not have big gashes, nails were not hammered in crooked, and trash was not thrown about the house. I spoke to several of these craftsmen and many have worked for David (builder) for years. They do not just come in a slap up the house, they get it right the first time. During our final walk through inspection prior to closing we had only a few items that needed to be addressed. David made sure the items were complete prior to closing.Unlike other builders, David is on site and monitors the building of every home. He was always very approachable each time we had questions or concerns. David took the time to make sure we were satisfied.We have now been in our home 6 months. There have been a few minor repair items that needed to be addressed. I input the information in the online Warranty Request form. The issue has always been addressed promptly, usually within 1-2 days.My husband and I are very glad we found SOH and look forward to many years in our beautiful home. We both highly recommend anyone considering building in New Braunfels to use SOH.
