Jon Hall built a house for our sister and her husband 3 years before we started that process. They love their house and recommended him highly. We saw their house being built and really liked his work and willingness to accommodate their choices, changes and additions.Jon was straightforward throughout the process. His subs were excellent and timely, so the work went as scheduled.Jon was at the house every day and his attention to detail, his willingness to explain what was happening and why, and to offer his knowledge of alternatives to various finishes to keep costs down was great.I don’t think his attention is split between several different projects, we felt he was working for and with us.Four years later we are still thrilled with our house. I don’t think you can say more than that.

We loved working with Jon Hall on our second custom build, and would whole-heartedly recommend him to friends and family alike. He approaches his work knowing how personal home-building is to his client. He was on-site daily to oversee all aspects of the work, and kept the project moving with minimal downtime between subcontractors. He is detail-oriented, and was able to guide us in decisions to ensure both style and functionality were being met. He was a calming force when the stress of the build was overwhelming, and was always approachable and a phone call away when we needed him. In a nutshell, Jon takes great pride in his work, and does everything possible to ensure his clients have the house of their dreams.

We are enjoying our retirement home built by Jon Hall. He was professional, honest and had a great team of contractors working with him.One thing that really impressed us was that he contacted us almost daily to provide a status report. We always knew what work was being done.If you are looking for a home builder, we highly recommend Jon Hall. You can trust him to build your home!

We could not have been happier working with Jon! We had never built before and we were very apprehensive about the process after hearing horror stories from friends about how their project had major delays and budget nightmares. He walked us through every step and was great at communicating and troubleshooting issues that inevitably come up when building a custom home. He was always available and he and his crews were at our house continuously throughout the build. Bottom line…when he said he was going to do something, he did it when he said he was going to do it for the cost he said he would do it for. If we ever go through the building process again, Jon is our guy.

I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we met Jon Hall from J B Hall Custom Homes. As our Family needs changed he was the one that was with us on this journey. He has built 3 beautiful homes for us.The first 2 builds we talked with multiple local builders. By the time we were building the 3rd home we knew exactly who we were going to…without question. He is committed to excellence from the 1st meeting to the day he passes you your keys. Jon is onsite ensuring things are moving as expected and takes pride in the job site while his team is working. There are no surprises for you to figure out or work through alone. He is a phone call away one day or one year after you move in. If it’s important to his customer it’s a priority to him personally. If there is another build in our future it will be Jon Hall’s name on that site sign. Can’t thank him enough for all he has done for our Family!

Weve bought and sold a few houses along the way, but our only experience building one was with Jon. We built 250 miles remote and in the middle of COVID. We also had a front-row seat for other custom home builds in the same development. Im an architectural engineer, spent 20 years in the building materials industry, threw Jon a lot of curve balls, and was very focused on technical execution. That all went fine but turned out to be less important than these 5 things:1. Trust - youll sign a NAHB contract, which of course is favorable to the builder. The builders been doing this for years; its probably your first and only time. Youll spend money at a breathtaking rate, knowing that changing horses midstream will bust budget and schedule. You are stuck, so trust is the most important thing. We did several in-person reference checks up-front and hawked the project in-person and with technology. We found Jon to be completely trustworthy.2. Presence - our build took 8-9 months and there was a total of 1-2 weeks of downtime. Several other projects in our development are entering their third year with endless builder excuses. One major reason for our success was Jons daily presence - he does not mail it in. As a result, he sees opportunities to save time and money before they are ripe and finds problems before they can take root and grow.3. Temperament - when you buy an existing house, theres only one decision. There are hundreds when you custom-build, and youll get to look at the bad ones forever. Add-in household and professional moves and you have a recipe for stress. It helps a lot to have a builder, like Jon, who is not easily excited.4. Communications - the subcontracted nature of building requires constant attention to schedule/sequence and a constant flow of information. I paid close attention whenever Jon was on the phone with subs, and it always sounded like theyd talked three times in the last two days, not once in the last two months. Short, collaborative, and efficient, with no surprises, drama, or asking how the wife and kids are doing.5. Relationships - our build time and downtime were exceptionally low. Many of Jons subs have been working for him for decades. They value that relationship and it makes a difference when their phones are ringing off the hook.
