We chose Build Native to construct our home in Dripping Springs, Texas. Working with Build Native was a great experience. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely professional and respectful. Our favorite aspect about Build Native was their use of green home-building techniques. They are extremely knowledgeable in building homes that utilize solar energy and that are energy efficient. Build Native worked with us to build our dream home, taking their time to make sure everything was done correctly and built to last. If you are looking to build a custom home in the Central Texas area I highly recommend using Build Native as your home builder. -

We were introduced to Native Solar through our consultant Leslie Libby, when we were shopping several different solar companies around Austin. Once she put us in touch with Valerie, we were welcomed with enthusiasm and a load of information. Valerie was able to work a few different quotes for us that fit within our budget and solar needs. Not only was Native able to offer us the best quote by far, but they also had the most kWh for the price! We are also in a weird situation being deep in the Hill Country, where we do not have home internet (only cell), but the team was easily able to remedy this so that we can track our solar production. The install crew was very easy to work with and the whole team had great communication. We didnt have to deal with our electricity company either (which I thought would be a big headache), because Native handled all that too. Great job team! -

I found out about this company through Green Mountain Energy. I am so glad that I did. They were nothing sort of spectacular. They kept me informed every step of the way. The installers did an outstanding job. Give them a try, youll be glad you did. -

After searching and interviewing about 8 different Solar Installers we settled on Native for our install. They were wonderful. Lots of stuff happened behind the scenes and in an incredibly timely manner. They handled everything for us from permits to working with the electric company.I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in going solar. They made the process easy and stress-free and above all the installation is top-notch. I wish them all the best in the future. -

I called several different solar installers here in Austin and after careful time and consideration I decided to go with Native. I have to say that I wasnt disappointed. Native had the best financing, customer service and system selections available. Andy, my sales rep, was professional, reliable and knowledgeable, throughout the entire process. He walked me through everything from start to finish. We decided to install a 4.5kwh system - which for us will offset 85-90% of our total energy bill. This meant Native installed 18 panels on our roof. The installation was painless and the Native install team did a great job of making our system code compliment and even took the time to make sure it has a very clean and professional look to it. This system will impress anyone that cares about the look and overall design of the installation.I am very happy with my system and the service from Native and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a solar system to their home or business. -

I am so happy with my solar panel system. Native was great from start to finish. I have 39 panels and love watching my power meter run backwards. I shopped a couple of companies and Native was the most impressive. If your considering solar, and you should be, I highly recommend contacting Native. -

Ive had my Solar system a little over 15 months now and Im completely satisfied. The folks at Native were extremely professional from the moment we started talking to Jay (Sales) to our install team and Stewart (maintenance). Nothing but the highest praise for this team. If your thinking of going solar let Native show you how to fully benefit from various incentives and financing options available. The system they installed is top quality and having the ability to monitor my production is amazing. On a final note, my power bill was -$3 for July 2015, in Austin and after all the non-power related fees. Take that the Man. -
Review 8 (2015-01-08 - Rating: 5)
Native did an outstanding job on our solar panel job. The sales cycle included on site reviews, understanding our desired level of power generation and tips in addressing HOA approval. They also connected me right up front with Austin Energy and coordinated an inspection to determine any changes to insulation that might be needed for payment of the energy rebate. Our goal is to be fully solar energy sustainable over the life of our ownership of this house. We chose to install 39 LG high efficiency solar panels with a SolarEdge Inverter/Optimizer that includes web based monitoring - along with wiring to support a future electric car. The install team was professional, courteous and worked with us to get it right while still understanding our schedules just prior to Christmas. The key differences between Native and other companies is their people and their knowledge / experience installing solar systems. Native people work with you on every level. They help you achieve your alternative energy goals and provide you with the knowledge you need to be successful. They keep their promises on schedules and help you understand the nuances of your new system.I chose Native over other competitors because they had more solar installs (more experience) and because their people gave me knowledge about the system and working with Austin Energy that I didnβt get with other bids. That sales decision was positively reinforced by the install crew, project manager and finance people who worked with us every step of the way.On a scale of one to five with five the best. This was a five. -

Native did a fantastic job with our 21.78 kW SolarEdge system on a mixed-use building in San Marcos. They managed a City rebate for us as well as an USDA REAP Grant which took the financials from very good to great. Very attentive and diligent crews. System is producing just as projected and the monitoring app and website are really helpful. Highly recommended! -

I am very pleased with my Native solar array. Native was able to answer all questions and concerns regarding the array, the tax rebates and what to expect after installation. The Native crew was supportive thru the entire process. Jay was able to size the array correctly from looking at my electric bills and I now feed the grid with no elect bill. :D Thanks Native! Deb -

Our experience with Native could not have been more positive. The team communicated with us in an effective way throughout the installation process, completed the installation without any issues or problems, and conducted themselves in very professional manner throughout the project. We could not be happier with the way our solar project turned out and would highly recommend Native to anyone. -

Just completed the expansion of a system Native installed just over one year ago. Native did a great job of making it as easy as possible. They are a solid company and a green builder. I chose Native because I expect them to be around 25 years to support the systems warranty. I highly recommend them to anyone and encourage you to compare. There are other companies and some may be cheaper but do they have the depth of experience of Native as a green builder? Go with the pro! -

I met with Nativeβs renewable energy consultant, Jay Thomas, at my Electrical Cooperativeβs annual solar tour. The cost and environmental benefits he described made the decision to move forward easy. Nativeβs finance, project design, and installation teams were professional, easy to work with, and explained each step along the way. My 40 solar panel, 12 kW system was activated over a week ago and is working great. The SolarEdge monitoring portal is a valuable tool that helps evaluate how itβs working in real time. Jay has stayed with us through the entire process and plans to help analyze our first electric bill now that itβs up and running. I appreciate all their work from beginning to end and highly recommend Native. -

Regarding Native Solar,This note is to express my extreme satisfaction with Native Solar, and especially the technician who they sent out to service my home solar system. Two years ago Native installed a 9kw SunPower system for my house.. My house is over 60 years old so the monitoring system had problems with my wiring. This resulted in multiple complaints to SunPower, who told me that Native was no longer an authorized SunPower dealer. I should add that my SunPower panels are excellent, perhaps the best on the market. My issue was strictly with the monitoring system. When I contacted SunPower they provided me with a list of authorized installers in my area; however, since those providers did not install the system, they did not want to do warrenty work. I contacted Native and explained the situation. Native assumed full responsibility, even though my system is just over two years old.The Native technician that contacted me was Ryan Riddle. Ryan was extremely professional and genuinely sympathetic. He examined my monitor and convinced SunPower that since it had never worked properly, and it should be covered by the warranty. As my problem was unique, Ryan had to make several calls with SunPowers customer support in order to determine what was needed. Ryan insisted the wired device was incompatible with my home and needed to be replaced under warranty with a wireless monitor. He argued my case through several levels of management until they finally acquiesced. He obtained the replacement system, installed it and worked with SunPowers customer support technicians until the new system was functional.I am very happy with Native, and Ryan Riddle for their support after the sale. Ryan could very easily have given up when SunPower first said they would not cover the system. Nevertheless he persisted! Ryan is a real asset to your company. .Thank you Native, and Ryan Riddle for sticking with me. I will not hesitate to recommend Native Solar to my friends and relatives for their solar installations.Leonard R. VoellingerAustin, Texas -

Well done at the beginning (discussions and design) and at the end (flipping the switch to on). The only difficulties we had with the install of our small 12-panel 400-series system was with CPM. CPM was backlogged which slowed the install of our system but we still got it done before the end of 2015 which is what I was counting on and was pretty persistent. Gary Royal was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but our home builder was maybe not as supportive of solar, therefore we ended up with ground mount system instead of a roof mount, but that was really our only option. Val Paxson was great to work with. Final plans were solidified and contracts completed expeditiously. Stuart Prior made sure everything with the install was perfect. Except for one minor hiccup with an underground power line (which they corrected), all went very well. I am seeing the results now of our small system and am exceedingly happy we did this. Having had experience previously with another solar install company in New Mexico, I can honestly say that the Native folks have your best interests at heart and will work with you so you get what you want. Im completely satisfied and have already started referring them to our neighbors!!! -

We hired Native to build our home as it was competitively priced and they promised everything and more of what we wanted. Native is a company that was easy to talk to, they listened well and performed awesomely. My only reservation was that they were in transition of software and site supervisors, which did create some issues at times, so one would not know what the other had agreed to. Overall our project went great and smoothly, we got what we wanted for the price we agreed on, they are (if slow at times) responsive to any concerns/issues you have even now, 1 year and a half after completion and send someone out to look at it and take the appropriate steps to fix it. The only real issue we have is our wooden slat ceiling, the sub contractor must have had no experience at all with how to install a ceiling and somehow our usually overly quality oriented site super did not see this coming, but overall it likely has to be replaced. It is incorrectly installed, which causes it to come down in places, not dangerously but we had higher expectations. Native agrees basically with our observations and I am confident that we find a satisfactory solution. I will update this post when this happens and give them 5 stars. At this time this is the only issue we have not resolved satisfactory. You become almost best friends with these guys, they are very personable and always respond to your concerns, pretty nice working relationship. -

We just finish having Native install 40 panels (13Kwh) system on our house. They are all professionals. We couldnt have picked a better installer to work with. It took them about a week to get the system installed and set up and running. Excellent communication during the pre-installation and during the installation and after the installation there were no surprises. -

My husband and I were both born in Texas. We could not happier or more proud /pleased to work with such a highly recommended local company to realize our dream of building a net-zero energy use home.We are at the front end of our process/relationship with NATIVE, and Ill reserve the final star for a happy re-posting to include retrospective praise for each particular aspect of the build. So far, the knowledgeable folks from NATIVE have shown themselves to be both professional and Texas-friendly, willing to go a literal extra mile to get our job done. -

My wife and I recently sold our house in San Antonio so I could finish my Construction Science degree in San Marcos. I have researched this company for a few years now and love what they are doing. I have a degree in Architecture and strongly believe in sustainability. I hope maybe one day to work for Native or a company similar and would love to incorporate as much sustainability in our new home as possible. -
