I’ve been through a lot of tough situations in my life but being in debt had to be one of the hardest. If being financially shackled unable to do anything, including apply for credit for a new used car, wasn’t bad enough, the calls, they never stopped, it was unbearable. I was well past breaking point and couldn’t take it anymore.One night, complaining to my girlfriend about just how bad things had gotten, she told me that her and her husband were facing a similar situation and used a company called the bureau of debt settlement to fix everything. At this point I was open to anything, anyone, that could help so I got their contact info.When I reached out I spoke with Ms. Mitchel. She was so nice! I came into an unfortunate situation with my car becoming a total loss. My only option was to purchase another which is when I saw just how terrible my credit score, and more importantly, my auto enhanced credit score were due to years of neglect.I had a few accounts in collections from when I was younger that, at the time, I decided I was never going to pay. Those accounts never went away, being resold over and over again, and were at the to the point I didn’t even know who to contact about them.A friend told me about work the bureau of debt settlement had done for him, settling old debt in collections, the positive results it had on his credit score, and how fast it all happened. So I decided to call.Ms. Mitchel from BODS met with me, reviewed my credit situation, clearly explained to me the BODS process, what she could do and the results she anticipated to achieve based on her experience working in debt settlement.Ms. Mitchell took over, did all the leg work in contacting the debt collectors and ultimately settled the old debt for a fraction of the original amount.
